Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of authentic parental competence and awareness of early childhood educational community on the life satisfaction of mothers with preschoolers depending on mothers' employment status. Methods: A total of 238 mothers (98 employed, 130 unemployed) whose children were attending early childhood institutes participated in a survey measuring three variables. Results and Conclusion: The findings of the study were as follows: First, there were positive correlations between authentic parental competence, awareness of early childhood educational community, and life satisfaction, regardless of employment status. Second, comparing employed mothers with unemployed mothers, a common variable affecting life satisfaction was social competence, a sub-variable of authentic parental competence. Further, self-system competence, a sub-factor of authentic parental competence, influenced life satisfaction for employed mothers, and sharing core values, a sub-variable of awareness of the early childhood educational community, influenced life satisfaction for unemployed mothers.

As Information communication technology develops, requirements for new educational media and new contents gets bigger and bigger. Especially PDA is required for educational media on m-learning environment. We design and implement intra-educational contents sequencing model and educational contents sequencing model between educational contents for PDA as educational supplementary media for m-learning environment, and LMS supporting PDA. And we balanced the work load of PDA and LMS and constructed practical service platform for using PDA as educational supplementary device.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the educational philosophy, goal, method, content, and environment of ecologically-oriented alternative elementary schools and suggest several practical methods for alternative education. Both ecologism and alternative education pursue sustainable values. The educational content of ecologically-oriented alternative elementary schools, analyzed from the view of sustainable development, focuses most on the natural resources, biodiversity, and sustainable food production, and also include human rights, peace and security, unification, cultural diversity, and health food in terms of the social sustainability and sustainable production and consumption concerning economic sustainability. This study should help environmental education become establish its possibility and position as alternative education and be recognized of its educational value. Furthermore, based on the cases of ecologically-oriented alternative elementary schools that are becoming 'garden of environmental education' as sustainable development education, it should lead to 'education communicating with environmental education at schools'.

This study analyzed rural experiential educational programs that are currently in operation and examined the programs' reflection of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to explore the significance of those programs in terms of the ESD. In particular, this study analyzed cases of rural experiential educational programs from four villages in the capital region, Gyeongsang, Jeolla, and Chungcheong. The analysis results are as follows. Four villages' experiential educational programs share similar activities, such as nature experience, farming, traditional food and culture, games in nature, and craft. Each village has special programs and managements according to their geographical and environmental conditions. In addition, those programs are related to the ESD elements of health food, and cultural diversity (in sociocultural area) and of species diversity and environmental issues (in environmental area). On the other hand, the ESD elements in economic areas are not related to those programs. In addition, most of the villages plan and run experiential educational programs to keep and develop their own villages' sustainability. Rural experiential educational programs need to include various elements of ESD to develop rural communities.

The purpose of this study is to construct an evaluation and improvement program of the spousal role in middle-aged rural couples. Based on the results of the previous survey conducted for the development of a program in 2001 and a review of previous research, this program consisted of four sessions, such as the history of my marriage-change and continuance, equal spouse role-individuation and integration, healthy role performance and communication, and the improvement of relations and the giving tree. Also the improvement indicators can be used as an educational tool for the educational program of the four sessions that were developed. The educational program was accomplished by giving lectures and activities for one hour per session. The effectiveness of the educational program on every role area except the economical role area was proved to be significant.

Purpose: To develop nurses' educational needs scale for woman with infertility. Methods: A total of 201 nurses in charge of infertility health services in 4 infertility hospitals and 1 public health center were enrolled for this study. The scale was developed through literature review, in-depth interview, development of preliminary items, verification of content validity, development of secondary items, verification of construct validity, and extraction of final items. Data were analyzed using item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. Results: Nurses' educational needs scale for women with infertility consisted of 41 items. Three factors (education for disease and symptom of infertility, supporting and counselling for infertility patients, and education for daily life of infertile patients) explained 63.7% of the total variance. Conclusions: Nurses' educational needs scale for woman with infertility demonstrated acceptable validity and reliability. Its items could be used to assess the level of educational needs for nurses in charge of infertility health services.

Little attempt has been made to empirically investigate the effects of childhood poverty on children's educational attainments and their everyday life in Bangladesh. Quality education is a prominent aspiration in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), but there are few studies of school improvement in relation to the educational achievement of disadvantaged children living in rural Bangladesh. This article offers a theoretical understanding of childhood poverty and educational exclusion, building on the empirical research carried out in two rural areas to explore the following questions: Why do so many socio-economically disadvantaged children tend to dropout from formal secondary school? and Why do some succeed? After exploring the challenges of childhood poverty and educational exclusion, it shows how the challenges could be mitigated through attention to the ecology of human development in the contexts of individual children. Complex ways in which efforts can be made to tackle the challenges of childhood poverty are influenced by ecological factors within the context of the study. Recommendations for policy and practice are offered based on the findings to improve formal secondary schooling for socio-economically disadvantaged children in Bangladesh.

군 복무 중 이러닝을 통해 군 장병의 자기 계발을 돕기 위해 정부는 군 이러닝 포털시스템을 구축하였다. 본 연구에서는 군 이러닝 포털 시스템을 통해 다양한 교육용 콘텐츠를 제공하기 위해 교육용 콘텐츠에 대한 메타데이터를 설계하였다. 군 장병들이 원하는 콘텐츠와 이를 표현하는 방법에 대한 설문 조사를 통해 요구 분석하였으며, 이를 토대로 분류 체계와 분류 항목을 선정하였다. 이러한 분류 체계와 분류 항목을 KEM과 SCORM과 같은 국내 외 콘텐츠 표준화 규격을 참조하여 교육 콘텐츠 메타데이터로 설계하였다.
