The purpose of this research is to help cosmetic companies to develop new products and make sales strategy by understanding about $20's{\sim}30's$ women's favorite types of eye shadows like as various colors and technique of express. They were divided into groups based on their ages, educational background, careers and monthly income and each group was inquired its preferable cosmetic colors, the time span of the purchase, the motive of the purchase, and the trend of the color cosmetic to analyze the relationship between the trend color and the purchase. It also shows that the most popular color is pink for eye shadow and women have over two colors and cake type ordinary. This survey is showed that women avoid wearing dark or deep colored eye shadow due to natural make-up. Also it showed that women of the times request soft and natural technical makeup for eyes.

Objective : Medpor porous polyethylene was used to reconstruct small bone defects (gaps and burr holes) along a craniotomy bone flap. The feasibility and cosmetic results were evaluated. Methods : Medpor Craniotomy Gap Wedges, V and T, were designed. The V implant is a 10 cm-long wedge strip, the cross section of which is an isosceles triangle with a 4 mm-long base, making it suitable for gaps less than 4 mm after trimming. Meanwhile, the Medpor T wedge includes a 10 mm-wide thin plate on the top surface of the Medpor V Wedge, making it suitable for gaps wider than 4 mm and burr holes. Sixty-eight pterional craniotomies and 39 superciliary approaches were performed using the implants, and the operative results were evaluated with respect to the cosmetic results and pain or tenderness related to the cranial flap. Results : The small bone defects were eliminated with less than 10 minutes additional operative time. In a physical examination, there were no considerable cosmetic problems regarding to the cranial bone defects, such as a linear depression or dimple in the forehead, anterior temporal hollow, preauricular depression, and parietal burr hole defect. Plus, no patient suffered from any infectious complications. Conclusion : The Medpor Craniotomy Gap Wedge is technically easy to work with for reconstructing small bone defects, such as the bone gaps and burr holes created by a craniotomy, and produces excellent cosmetic results.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the hazards of cosmetic ingredients in Korea. Methods: An Excel database of cosmetic ingredients was developed on a website(Korea Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary) and used for a hazard assessment based on Tox-free, a database containing toxic information such as on carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxicants(CMRs) and endocrine disrupting chemicals(EDCs), as well as other regulated chemicals in Korea. Results: A total of 16,605 chemicals were registered with the cosmetic ingredient dictionary and 308 of them were identified as either CMRs or EDCs. CMRs included formaldehyde and nickel gluconate, and EDCs included parabens, benzophenon, styrene, and toluene. Reproductive toxicants such as xylene, zinc chloride, toluene, and formaldehyde were regulated by the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Act on the Registration and Evaluation, etc. of Chemical Substances(the Chemical Control Act). Conclusions: Regulations on cosmetics components should be strengthened, and the right to know about cosmetics containing hazardous chemicals should be guaranteed.

This study investigates the relationship between size of cosmetic shops, size of showcases, sorts and arrangement of light source, floor plan, and illuminance measured of interior space. From this result, the average space size of cosmetic shops were $623.2{\times}512.9{\times}258.1cm$(width, length, height), the average space size of showcases were $273.3{\times}53.8{\times}89.5cm$ (width, depth, height). The light source was most frequently used fluorescent lamp, and illuminance was the most highest nearby main showcase, and average illuminance were 722[Ix], uniformity were 0.3.

In this research, we propose a Unified Fuzzy rule-based knowledge Inference Systems UFIS) to help the expert in cosmetic brand detection. Users' preferred cosmetic product detection is very important in the level of CRM. To this Purpose, many corporations trying to develop an efficient data mining tool. In this study, we develop a prototype fuzzy rule detection and inference system. The framework used in this development is mainly based on two different mechanisms such as fuzzy rule extraction and RDB (Relational DB)-based fuzzy rule inference. First, fuzzy clustering and fuzzy rule extraction deal with the presence of the knowledge in data base and its value is presented with a value between $0\∼1$. Second, RDB and SQL(Structured Query Language)-based fuzzy rule inference mechanism provide more flexibility in knowledge management than conventional non-fuzzy value-based KMS(Knowledge Management Systems)

The purpose of this study is to develop a method to evaluate solubility parameter interactions of cosmetic ingredients in formulations. This experimentation relates to the fabrication of new multi-layer cleansing oil which can remove make-up products such as lipstick, foundation, mascara, eye shadow, etc., and also can wash away dirt and sebum from the skin just in one stage process. Solubility parameter and specific gravity of various cosmetic ingredients are measured to explain the cleanliness of interface, detergency of make-up cosmetics on the skin surface. The results suggest that it is possible for cosmetic chemists to use solubility parameter of cosmetic materials for fabrication of new formulation of 3-layer cleansing oil.

In this study, an injection mold with conformal cooling channels was designed and manufactured for use in the production of a thick plastic cosmetic container that required high gloss surfaces. A cooling analysis verified the design of the conformal cooling channel for the cosmetic container, and also showed that the cooling efficiency was superior to that of the straight cooling channel. Slide cores designed with the conformal cooling channel were manufactured using the Layers Parting method and vacuum diffusion bonding. Subsequent test injection and quality inspection showed no problem in the appearance and dimensional accuracy of the produced product. The cycle time for product production was about 110 seconds, sufficient for mass production.

The first part of the paper concerneded about the history, meaning and function of the aromatherapy. And the next part is about the therapeutic effects by the inhalation fragrance or permeation of essential oil through the skin, which are all based on the recent experiments. Today, the aromatherapy is public interest in the world. And also many cosmetic companies have been making use of the aromatherapy as the concept of their new products. But any Korean manufacturer has not taken the application of the aromatherapy in the cosmetics. Why we can't do this. Therfore I try to explain this problem at the last part of the paper and also introduce some Aromatherapy products.

Biological activities and anticarcinogenicity of Korean Pear peel were investigated, Electron donating activity and superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity of fraction II, III were up to 80% and 50-60% at 50 ppm, respectively, Inhibitory effects on xanthine oxidase were about 80% at 50 ppm, breast adenocarcinoma was about 60% at 2,000 ppm, higher III than II Inhibitory effect on prostate adenocarcinoma was about 23% at 500 ppm. In conclusion, Korean pear peel was expected to use as a functional material.

Purpose: Women have desired for beauty. And many side effects of plastic surgery have been proven. So safe treatment is expected in recent years. To develop oriental medical treatment on women's cosmetic area, the studies that prove the effect and principle of oriental treatment will be conducted. So, we want to know what kind of research have been done. Methods: We researched for paper which is associated with the cosmetic acupuncture in the Korean journals. The research date is 10th May, 2010. Results: 15 papers were found. Most of papers were written since the year of 2006. And most of papers are written in the Journal of Korean Acupunture & Moxibustion Society. And most of papers deal with subjects about facial acupucture. Conclusion: There is a lack of research on cosmetic area with oriental treatment, so further reseach is needed to comprise large proportion of cosmetic area.
