  • This paper call attention to the characteristics of apartment unit plans as to the outdoor adjacency methods. My arguments will attempt to investigate spatial composition and each room sizes of the unit plans. So far, very little has been done in this direction. I will limits myself to study 573 plans which have been designed from 1996 till 2003. What emerges from this analysis is that these samples divided 3 types derived from the outdoor adjacency methods. Type 1 limits itself to 39 square meters unit plans. Type 2 was distributed from 49 square meters to 200 square meters with the exception of 100-110 square meters. And, type 3 ranges from 59 to 160 square meters. Therefore, it could be profitable each room's environmental condition (daylight, ventilation and etc) and diverse apartment building types to design in extent 49-160 square meters.

Measurement object is apartment occupancy ago of 100㎡ scale built to higher story in Taegu city. Floor Slav's light impact sound level interception performance interacted by benevolent person who carrying out availability of finish material important. Floor Slav's heavy impact sound level interception performance amounted estimation by being good more or less then light impact sound level interception performance. Because sound insulation performance of partition between adjoined generation is gad seldom, privacy infringement becomes anticipation. There was discussion about these results, and presented various kinds future research task to prove sound insulation performance of apartment house.

Based on the assumption, it carries a quantitative analysis of physical and image difference, targeting colors of the outer walls of high-rise apartment buildings within apartment complex. As a result, it is identified that the outer colors of the buildings on the streetside of high-rise residential complexes are significantly different according to neighboring environmental factors and viewers' visual range. And, it is suggested that in planning colors of outer wall, colors should be arranged in consideration of color difference according to visual range.

  • The factors influencing the floor impact sound insulation include floor finishing materials, shock absorbing floors (slabs included), and ceiling structures. The ceilings of the apartment houses, currently built in Korea, are set up with lower parts of slabs and paper finishing, or with double floors for protecting against floor impact sounds in order to improve the sound insulating performance. The most common the method of ceiling structure construction consists of 'wood boarded frames + Gypsum boards + ceiling papers', which is called the wood boarded frame method. This study aimed to measures and evaluates floor impact sound insulation by which the ceiling space are widened according to suppression system is added in apartment house ceiling structure.

  • This study aimed to examine academic researches about apartment unit plans and consumer's opinions, and then to analyze the corelationship between the two, thus identifying the differences between the reality of housing market and consumers' opinionsl. On the analysis of the apartment unit plans($66m^2{\sim}164m^2$) provided by top 8 construction companies from March 2004 to December 2008. The remarkable change compared to existing apartments is an increase in the number of bays. This displays construction companies are responding to consumer' opinions actively. However, there were spaces which did not or passively reflect consumer's opinions enough. Especially, front side allocation of bedrooms beside master bedroom, kitchen/dining room and L-D-K & LD-K installation of a door between entrance and a living room. These are opinions that companies need to make efforts to reflect on apartment unit plans as much as possible.
