Necessity for the guidebook of occupational health nursing practice has been perceived by our OH research members since the health management of small scale enterprises(SSE) was controlled by law. Mean-while, developing the OH manual, our team found that the work situation of occupational health nursing(OHN) services should be prior to the construction of the OHN manual. This procedure was regarded as helpful for producing the OH manual which is fitting to the Korean nursing circumstances. Thus, this study was planned and carried out. The study aimed to find out current situation of work performance on occupational health nursing practice perceived by nurses working for health management of SSE. Questionnaire was distributed to the OH nurses working in the 55 group occupational health service(GOHS) agencies throughout the Korea from January to March in 1997. Ninety-seven nurses of the 31 GOHS agencies responded. Descriptive statistics was used in the SAS programme. Four nurses participated to select nursing area investigated in the study. Those area were 'document', 'job orientation', 'OH reference', 'nursing theory', 'group health education', 'health examination', 'work dilemma', 'approach attitude', 'workplace visit', 'health promotion' and 'communication'. Results can be summarized as follow : Types of document were mentioned diversely depending on the GOHS agencies. Job orientation was seen to be performed by nurses in 56% among the 75.3% nurses responded. Sixty five percents of nurses agreed to apply nursing theories into the OH with lack of knowledge on them. Health screening and health education were responded as commonly provided nursing activities with various nursing obstacles as well as indicated in the area of 'work dilemma', 'approach attitude', 'workplace visit', 'health promotion'.

Time for study, exercise, and work as well as stress on daily life and job stress were significant predictors of nurses' stress-coping level in schoolwork. Method: The sample of this study consisted of 267 nurses from 3 general hospitals located in Seoul, Korea. Data were collected with self-administrated questionnaires and analyzed hierarchical multiple regression. Result: The distributive and procedural justices had effects on nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment, but no effects on health. The procedural justice had more effects on nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment than distributive justice. There was no moderating effect of distributive and procedural justices on nurses' job satisfaction, organizational commitment and health. Purpose: This study aimed to identify the perceptions, importance, and performance of midwives' roles among midwives and nurses in Korea. Methods: A descriptive correlational design was employed. Data were collected from 164 nurses and 79 midwives from April 1 to June 25, 2021. Midwives enrolled in the Korean Midwifery Association and nurses and midwives from two hospitals each Daegu and Gyeonggi Province in Korea were invited to participate. The independent t-test, chi-square test, the Welch-Aspin test, and Pearson correlation coefficient were used for analysis. Results: The midwives' role perception score (3.47±1.46) was lower than that of nurses (3.95±0.85), and the midwives' role performance score (2.98±0.83) was also lower than that of nurses (3.34±0.89). Significant differences were observed between midwives and nurses in their perception and performance of roles related to prenatal management, childbirth management, management of psychological changes, postpartum management, and newborn care. Higher role perception and performance among midwives were linked to the management of psychological changes and women's health, indicating potential areas for future development. Purpose: This descriptive study was to examine the effect factors on health promotion lifestyle of shift work nurses. Methods: The 418 working nurses who completed questionnaires with consent were analysed. Results: The average level of health promotion lifestyle of shift work nurses was 2.21 and it was significantly lower than 2.36 of fixed work nurses. In shift work nurses, the highest health promotion lifestyle was personal relationship of 2.79 and the lowest was physical activity of 1.58. The young, shorter shift work duration, unmarried and general nurses were evaluated as not-healthy diet. The old, longer shift work duration and married showed less physical activity. Less self-efficacy and more job stress, depression, fatigue showed lower health promotion lifestyle. Conclusion: Self-efficacy on health behavior of shift work nurses was the most effective factor on all areas of health promotion. Therefore, we need to develop a health promotion program including self-efficacy encouragement. We suggest that this program be more effective when more precisely characterized according to age, marital status, shift work duration, job position, and psychological problems such as depression and fatigue.
