  • For the purpose of reproduction of traditional gold thread, the artifact investigation was organized for 70 cases (109 pieces) of relics from Korea, China and Japan. In most cases, the main backside material of gold thread from Korea was the bast fibers from paper mulberry. In this study, the optimum sheet-making of Hanji for gold thread reproduction was tried by controlling several process factors of Hanji such as the cooking and beating time of paper mulberry fibers, the number of sheet-making ply, and converting method (Dochim). Tensile index, folding endurance and compressive strength of Hanji showed differences according to the correlation between cooking and beating time, and application of converting method (Dochim), while bending stiffness fell with decrease of thickness. These results can be applied to consider manufacturing factors to make Hanji for the production of gold thread.

  • We developed an emergency national manual for preservation of cultural heritage using irradiation disinfection technic under flood disaster. And we examined its practicality with a critical radiation dose on fungi that occur at water-logged event in order to prevent fungal damage that occurs during submersion. The X-ray irradiation for this experiment was conducted at the Production Technology Research Institute located in Yeongcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do. A disinfection critical dose of 12 kGy was selected for two types of fungi known to spread rapidly and are resistant to radiation to submerged cultural properties, and this experiments were conducted by setting a target dose of 12kGy at 8.37mA at 5MeV. Under the above conditions, only continuity of irradiated samples were completely disinfected. This suggests that continuity of irradiation is important for fungal disinfection.

  • This study proposes a self-assessment model and its implementing procedure for the local industry promotion project, the purpose of which is to develop strategies for successful carrying-out of the project by diagnosing carrying capacities of its interested parties. The model, developed principally based on Eckes' $Q{\times}A=E$ Evaluation Model, was applied to 85 project-concerned persons which had been participated in the local industry promotion project from 2009 to 2011. Through the applicability test works of this model, its usefulness and importance for better implementation of the project was ascertained, especially to reflect cultural changes of project actors positively. The actors' recognition level of the project should be one of the critical factors for the successful implementation of the local industry promotion project. So, the higher understanding in the local industry promotion project, the more positive assessment in all respects of the project. Finally, it should be considered that the assessment results might differ for the same assessment standards from assessers' different perspectives.

  • Organizational culture has been recognized as a determinant of corporate Effectiveness. Cultural components could affect corporate Effectiveness to different extents. However, it seems that none of the previous studies have evaluated and compared these influential extents of cultural components. The current research applies analytic hierarchy processes to assess and rate the significance extents that, cultural components play in resulting in corporate Effectiveness. Then, the current work utilizes regression analyses to re-evaluate the significance extents for the robustness of analytic hierarchy processes. The findings indicate that clan culture is the most vital component in explaining corporate Effectiveness. In contrast, adhocracy culture is the least important component in affecting corporate Effectiveness. Market culture is a cultural component that is ranked the second in determining corporate Effectiveness, and next is hierarchy culture which is the third. The findings are in support of the positive influences of clan, market, and adhocracy cultures on corporate Effectiveness; whereas it found the negative impact of hierarchy culture on corporate Effectiveness.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore a prediction model for accurately predicting Financial Difficulties of Chinese Cultural Industry Enterprises through Traditional Statistics and Machine Learning. To construct the prediction model, the data of 128 listed Cultural Industry Enterprises in China are used. On the basis of data groups composed of 25 explanatory variables, prediction models using Traditional Statistical such as Discriminant Analysis and logistic as well as Machine Learning such as SVM, Decision Tree and Random Forest were constructed, and Python software was used to evaluate the performance of each model. The results show that the Random Forest model has the best prediction performance, with an accuracy of 95%. The SVM model was followed with 93% accuracy. The Decision Tree model was followed with 92% accuracy. The Discriminant Analysis model was followed with 89% accuracy. The model with the lowest prediction effect was the Logistic model with an accuracy of 88%. This shows that Machine Learning model can achieve better prediction effect than Traditional Statistical model when predicting financial distress of Chinese cultural industry enterprises.

To embody such Korean and global goods, it is essential to put priority on the research of history and culture of our society. Needless to say, it is very important to find the value of our own differentiated beauty and apply it to each area of design industry. Recognizing the differentiated value of our own cultural originality, this research performs the design of scarf and necktie to exhibit Korean image in modern and fashionable ways for commercialization by developing design of fashion and cultural goods to which Korean image is applied. Through literature and various informations, the theme of design that can best convey Korean image is determined to be the national flag of Korea, Taegeukki and five cardinal colors and the researching method is as follows. First, though the area of developing designs of cultural goods is very wide and various including commerce, industry, products , fashion, handicraft and traditional handicraft, etc., this research sets the scope of developing design, focusing on the fashion accessories utilizing the textile design such as costume, scarf, necktie and so on. Second, the definition and scope of cultural goods and the present situation of domestic cultural goods will be examined. Third, the modelling property and symbolic meaning of the national flag of Korea (Taegeultki) and five cardinal colors, the theme of design will be studied. Fourth, on the basis of above research, scarf and necktie will be designed by modern and fashionable design to which Korean image is applied. Fifth, this is textured in textile printing and gradation for commercialization.
