학술정보자원의 사회적 공유에 관한 연구 - 일반인의 정보요구와 행위를 중심으로 - (A Study on Social Sharing of Scholarly Information Resources: Focusing on Laypeople's Information Needs and Behaviors)

  • 오늘날 전문적 지식에 대한 시민 요구의 증가, 학계의 시민참여 연구 확대, 전문적 지식에 대한 정보서비스의 제공에도 불구하고, 여전히 비전문적 일반인이 학술정보자원에 접근하는 데에 어려움이 있는 것으로 파악된다. 본 연구는 이에 주목하여 학술정보자원에 대한 일반인의 정보요구와 정보행위를 설문조사를 통해 조사하였다. 학술정보자원의 탐색 및 이용행태, 학술정보자원 활용에 대한 지원 필요성에 관한 인식이 조사되었으며, 이를 통해 학술정보자원이 학술 커뮤니티를 넘어 사회적으로 공유되는 정도와 양상을 분석하였다. 본 연구는 전통적인 학술 커뮤니케이션에서의 이용자 범위를 확대하여, 이들을 위한 학술정보자원에의 접근과 이용 확대 지원의 필요성을 강조한 초기 연구라는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

  • In the social information facilities with physical stacks, it is critical to arrange categories of knowledge since there should be conventional methods by which users and visitors can browse index of all sorts of media relating to their topics. The classical index system of knowledge has been developed with primitive libraries and museums and therefore the system can be addressed by analyzing typical cases of precedents. As the forth industrial revolution has emerged, there will be quite innovative approach to provide information to the public as well as the private. The coalition between knowledge and space has always been considered as essential characteristics that remind scholars of hierarchical layout of knowledge resources such as maps, books, documents and diverse specimens. This research assumes that the spatial layout of knowledge can be classified in terms of physical attributes, symbolic entities, and information media and it defines what coalition between knowledge and space is creative in order to enacting interactive dialogue among information navigators. The spaces in between the knowledges function as trasition areas where the index system informs and stimulates, where the interface between the different knowledges is optimized and therefore the library as the public facilities no longer dedicated to the text, but as an information space in which all sorts of media are distributed equally.

정보기술이 지식경영활동에 미치는 영향: 만도와 포스코 사례를 중심으로 (The Effect of Information Technology on the Knowledge Management Activity from MANDO and POSCO)

  • Information technology instruments arc being rampantly used for knowledge management in companies. IT is used as an interplay tool to enhance the flow of knowledge and information between people. KMS, especially, supports the knowledge management process including sharing, creating, and using of knowledge within a company, and maximizes the value of knowledge resources within an organization. The purpose of this paper is to understand how IT is changing the knowledge management activity. through various examples based on exploratory research from MANDO, the Korean automotive parts manufacturer, and POSCO, the global leading steelmaker. The result shows that IT boosts communication skills, thus creates a mutual relationship outcome. In the same context, the process of knowledge conversion by Nonaka's SECI model simplifies to an Externalization-Internalization process. This process accelerates the birth of explicit knowledge and Socialization, supplements the Limitations of the creation of knowledge in the E-I cycle. The E of knowledge simultaneously promotes the I, and eventually brings an advanced learning skill. IT aids the E of knowledge and furthermore, I and E activity, through the knowledge sharing, brings vitality into an organization. The interplay stage for knowledge activity is to be reorganized to a cyber ba. Furthermore, IT will galvanize the formation of core knowledge through systemized acquisition, management of core knowledge and standardization of work.

Using Analytic Network Process to Construct Evaluation Indicators of Knowledge Sharing Effectiveness in Taiwan's High-tech Industries

  • High-tech industry has been the principal economic source for Taiwan in recent years. The characteristics of high-tech industries in Taiwan are changeable product markets, short product life cycles and high company attrition rate. In the globalization trend, the high-tech industry has gradually increased corporate competitiveness and reached the goal of sustainable operations through knowledge management, knowledge sharing and new product research and development. Firms have aggressively strengthened and integrated their internal and external resources and enhanced knowledge sharing to increase industry operational performance. Effectively strengthening the knowledge management operation and performance evaluation of knowledge sharing in Taiwan's high-tech industry has become a critical issue. In the selection of knowledge sharing Key Performance Indicators (KPI), this research divided the knowledge sharing indicators into representative strategic indicators such as organizational knowledge learning, organizational knowledge resources, organizational information capacity and organizational knowledge performance through screening using Factor Analysis. The characteristics of the constructs were interdependent. This research calculated and adjusted the correlation among the key performance knowledge sharing indicators using ANP and determined the relative weight of knowledge sharing.

  • Many theorists argued that firms should obtain and their unique resources for sustained competitive advantage under the competitive business environment. Knowledge has been recognized as one of key strategic resource, which is scare, valuable and reasonably durable in both KM literature and practice. however, firms usually face difficulties in identifying which knowledge is a core strategic resource, so that they are wasting time and managerial energies by managing all of knowledge in an organization. This article is composed as follows, the definition of knowledge-management as the norm of the work process, the status arrangement of the knowledge-management system and the old information system of architecture and interior design, the knowledge-management system set-up method and model, and the knowledge creativity and the application culture make-up method. In particular, the present study explains the method that is applied to the use of the knowledge-management system and the application it.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 디지털 도서관에서 지식조직 시스템을 사용함으로써 전통적인 전거 파일의 역할을 확대하여 활용하는 사례를 살펴보는 것이다. 지식조직 시스템은 정보를 조직하고 지식경영을 조장하는 모든 유형의 체계로서 디지털 도서관의 핵심적 요소 중의 하나이다. 다양한 지식조직 시스템은 웹에서 목록과 디지털 자원 사이의 링크를 제공하고 이용자의 정보요구와 자원 사이의 다리 역할을 수행하면서 디지털 콜렉션으로부터 상관된 아이템의 검색을 지원하도록 콘텐츠를 조직한다. 지식조직 시스템이 코드를 전문으로, 객체를 기술 레코드로, 그리고 물리적 객체를 소재와 실물정보로 링크시키기 위하여 어떻게 사용될 수 있는가를 서술하였다.

KSCD를 활용한 국내 과학기술자의 해외 학술지 인용행태 연구 (Citing Behavior of Korean Scientists on Foreign Journals in KSCD)

  • 국내 과학기술전반에 걸쳐 주제분야별로 해외 학술지 인용비율 즉 해외 학술지 영향력에 대한 종합적인 분석은 부족한 실정이며 가장 큰 원인은 종합 분석이 가능한 국내 학술지에 대한 대규모 인용색인 데이터베이스의 부재였다. KISTI는 한국 과학기술 인용색인 데이터베이스인 KSCD를 구축하고 한국과학기술인용색인서비스(KSCI)를 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국내 과학기술분야 핵심 학술지를 포괄하는 KSCD를 활용하여 국내 과학기술분야 연구자들의 해외 학술지 인용행태에 대한 분석 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 범위는 첫째, 해외 인용문헌의 형태별 분석을 둘째, 해외 학술지 인용문헌의 주제별 피인용수 및 타분야 인용비율 분석을, 셋째, 해외 학술지 인용문헌의 언어 및 발행국가 분석을, 넷째, 해외 학술지 발행기관 및 글로벌 인용색인 서비스 등재현황 분석을 마지막으로 국내의 해외 전자저널 구독 현황 분석이다. 해외학술지 인용분석을 통한 연구의 주요성과로는 해외 인용 학술지의 인용절정기(평균 3.9년), 반감기(평균 9년)의 규명과 한국 연구자들이 주로 해외등재학술지를 인용하며 국내에서 인용 해외등재학술지의 90%정도가 전자저널로 구독되고 있음을 밝힌 점이다. 본 연구를 통한 국내 과학자들의 해외 학술지 인용행태 분석 결과는 해외 전자저널 구독 전략 수립에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Modeling, Discovering, and Visualizing Workflow Performer-Role Affiliation Networking Knowledge

  • This paper formalizes a special type of social networking knowledge, which is called "workflow performer-role affiliation networking knowledge." A workflow model specifies execution sequences of the associated activities and their affiliated relationships with roles, performers, invoked-applications, and relevant data. In Particular, these affiliated relationships exhibit a stream of organizational work-sharing knowledge and utilize business process intelligence to explore resources allotting and planning knowledge concealed in the corresponding workflow model. In this paper, we particularly focus on the performer-role affiliation relationships and their implications as organizational and business process intelligence in workflow-driven organizations. We elaborate a series of theoretical formalisms and practical implementation for modeling, discovering, and visualizing workflow performer-role affiliation networking knowledge, and practical details as workflow performer-role affiliation knowledge representation, discovery, and visualization techniques. These theoretical concepts and practical algorithms are based upon information control net methodology for formally describing workflow models, and the affiliated knowledge eventually represents the various degrees of involvements and participations between a group of performers and a group of roles in a corresponding workflow model. Finally, we summarily describe the implications of the proposed affiliation networking knowledge as business process intelligence, and how worthwhile it is in discovering and visualizing the knowledge in workflow-driven organizations and enterprises that produce massively parallel interactions and large-scaled operational data collections through deploying and enacting massively parallel and large-scale workflow models.

해외 지식정보 협력망을 위한 장서 분석에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Collection Analysis for an International Cooperative Network of Knowledge-Information Resources)

  • 다양한 해외 디지털 지식정보의 통합 및 협력 네트워크를 구축하기 위해서 디지털 정보자원의 통합 개방, 참여, 기술이 핵심적인 부분이라고 할 수 있다. 해외 협력망인 WDL, IPL, TEL의 사례를 첫째 장서의 규모, 협력, 주제화범위의 내용적인 측면, 둘째 협력의 목적 등의 정책적인 측면, 셋째 표준화, 수집 및 선정, 검색, 메타데이터 관리의 기술적인 측면, 넷째 운영 조직 및 자금 수준의 운영적인 측면으로 분석하였다 분석된 내용 및 결과는 다양한 장서분석 기준과 접목하여 해외 협력을 위한 장서 분석 기준을 도출에 활용하였다. 분석된 기준은 디지털 정보자원의 핵심 부분인 디지털 정보자원에 대한 통함 체계를 지원하는 통합 모델, 협력 및 공유를 위한 자원 및 시스템 공유의 개방 모델 이용자 참여를 통한 지식정보의 창출, 지식정보자원의 공유할 수 있는 기술 모델 등 네 가지 모델로 구분하여 각 세부 평가 기준을 노출하는 데 활용하였다. 도출된 기준은 실제 장서분석 평가를 통하여 해외 협력망 구축을 위한 발전 전략 및 방향을 설정하기 위한 현재 장서에 대한 평가와 장서 관리를 위한 원칙과 모델을 제안하였다.

지식경영효과에 관한 탐색적 연구: 상황관점 (An Exploratory Study on the Effects of Knowledge Management: A Contingency Perspective)

  • In order to explore a relationship among KM context, KM effects, and sustainability of competitive advantage of organizations, a contingency model of KM, which is based on resource-based as well as knowledge-based theory, is developed from the information systems and strategic management literature. To put it concretely, our motivation for this paper was to answer the following questions: (1) What factors affect the degree to which an organization achieves KM effects? (2) Is there a positive relationship between KM effects and organizational performance achieved by linking KM to competitive advantage? A detailed exploratory analysis of survey responses from 79 Korean companies provides the following significant findings: (1) This study found support for the proposed research model. (2) The organization's degree of process and organizational outcomes of KM effects is determined by technical and social resources and its capabilities. Furthermore, the influence of technical and social resources of KM context on process and organizational outcomes of KM effects is controlled by different types of organizational perspectives on KM. (3) There is a relationship between process and organizational outcomes of KM effects and organizational performance enhanced by linking KM to competitive advantage.
