최근 정보통신기술의 발전은 공공도서관의 정체성을 모호하게 만들고 있다. 또한 지역사회의 공공도서관을 지식생성관점에서 연구한 문헌은 거의 존재하지 않는 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 지역공공도서관을 전통적인 도서대출기능을 수행하는 주체로부터, 지식과 사회자본을 생성하는 주체라는 새로운 관점에서 바라볼 수 있음을 보이고자 한다. 이를 위해서 이 논문은 지식관리와 지식도시 개념을 바탕으로 공공도서관을 분석하는 분석틀을 제시한다. 이 분석틀의 타당성을 검토하기 위하여 뉴저지 주 리지우드 도서관을 하나의 사례로 분석한다.

지식사회에서 주요자원은 지식이 되며 이러한 지식을 관리하는 도서관의 역할이 매우 중요하다. 기하급수적으로 증가하는 지식정보들 중 조직구성원들이 필요하고 유용한 지식만을 선택하여 이용자의 취향에 맞는 형태로 제공할 수 있는 지식정보관리가 필요하다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 기존의 도서관 정보봉사에서 나타나는 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 도서관이 수행해야 할 역할 및 기능들을 Help-Desk 서비스 측면에서 온라인과 오프라인으로 구성요인들을 조사하고 분석하였다. 이 결과를 토대로 웹기반 Help-Desk 지식관리 시스템 모형을 제시하였다.

인터넷의 영향으로 기업경영에 새롭게 도입되고 있는 지식관리시스템은 기존의 도서관과 매우 유사하다 기존의 도서관에 지식관리시스템을 접목함으로서 지식사회에 중요한 생산요소인 지식을 생산현장에 보다 효율적으로 투입하기 위해서는 도서관과 지식관리시스템의 통합은 필수적이며 그것은 결국 새로운 21세기형 도서관 모델이 될 수 있다.

도서관 서비스 혁신이란 지식정보화의 원천기술을 활용하여 '문화적 선도자로서의 변화'를 주도하고 하나의 시스템을 형성해 가면서 공유, 피드백 관계를 통해 새로운 지식을 창출, 상호작용이 활발한 특성화된 고유한 도서관을 만드는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 Public Library 2.0 서비스 모델을 기반으로 도서관의 서비스 혁신을 통한 디지털 지식정보화 시대에 공공도서관의 새로운 비전을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 Public Library 2.0 기반 커뮤니티지식정보시스템 구현을 위한 개념적 설계를 목적으로 하며 연구내용과 연구방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내외 문헌조사를 통하여 Library 2.0의 정의, 원칙과 구성요소를 조사 분석하여 혁신을 주도하는 Library 2.0 서비스 모델을 제시하였다. 둘째, 국내 외 Library 2.0의 협력 기술인 블로그, 위키, 인스텐트 메세징, 포드캐스팅, 소셜네트워킹, 플리커를 중심으로 적용 사례의 유용성을 조사하였다. 셋째, Public Library 2.0의 정의와 원칙을 살펴보고 Public Librayr 2.0 기반 커뮤니티지식정보시스템 개념적 설계를 통해 공공도서관의 새로운 비전을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 차세대 공공도서관을 위한 개념적 설계를 위한 것으로 시스템 구현과 테스트를 위한 후속연구가 요구된다.

What is the concept ad reality of so-called 'Knowledge Revolution'\ulcorner Wat is the philosophy ad logic of the people who advocate the necessity and urgency of knowledge Revolution in Korean society\ulcorner Are their arguments rational an desirable for the healthy development of Korean society\ulcorner This article deals with such issues from the socio-cultural point of view. The author argues that the 'real' purpose of knowledge Revolution should be on the recovery of socio-cultural competitive edge rather than the temporary improvement of this economic competence, and that public library revolution should be a prerequisite for the success of Knowledge Revolution. Also suggested are the macro and micro strategies and methods for the realization of the public library revolution.

This paper confers about the implementation of Knowledge Management (KM) in the National Library of Bangladesh (NLB). The main aim of this study was to investigate how the NLB goes about creating, implementing, disseminating, and applying knowledge within the organization. The other objectives of this paper were to identify the current status of KM in NLB and the understanding of different facets of KM by the staff of the National Library. The paper revealed that the situation of KM in NLB is not satisfactory. The paper also described the fact that the working environment supports the implementation but there needs to be some changes in the policies. Finally the research disclosed that NLB is a great place for implementing KM and has a large amount of possibilities for the adoption of KM. This qualitative research used the questionnaire as the main instrument for data collection. Finally, data has been processed and analyzed using SPSS and MS Excel.

본 연구의 목적은 저경력 사서교사의 도서관활용수업에 대한 실천적 지식을 형성하는 과정을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구는 교직 경력 3년 차 이하의 신규 사서교사 6명을 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 인터뷰를 통해 수집한 자료에서 실천적 지식의 영역인 교사 자신에 대한 지식과 교수·학습에 대한 지식을 중점을 두고 분석을 시행하였다. 연구를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사서교사에 대한 교사 자신에 대한 지식은 학생과 교사를 독서교육과 정보활용교육으로 이끌어 가는 리더십 있는 교사였다. 둘째, 사서교사에 대한 교사 자신에 대한 실천적 지식은 예비교원양성과정에서 가장 구체적으로 형성되었으며, 학교 현장에서 교사상에 대한 반성적 성찰이 일어나고 있었다. 셋째, 도서관활용수업에 대한 교수·학습방법에 대한 지식은 도서관협력수업에 중점을 두고 다양한 수업 방법을 배우고 익히며 현장에 적용하고 있었다. 넷째, 도서관활용수업의 교·학습 방법에 대한 지식의 차이가 존재하였다. 본 연구를 통해 교원양성과정과 교육실습활동이 학교 현장에 대한 내용을 반영하여 변화해야 하고 도서관활용수업에 대한 수업 읽기와 수업 분석이 지속하여야 함을 제안하였다.

지금 전 세계에서는 인간수명의 연장과 건강에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 더욱이 인터넷의 발달로 의료정보 접근과 의료 상담에 관련된 사이트들이 증가하는 가운데 의학정보에 대한 오남용 가능성도 배제 할 수 없다. 이제 공공도서관에서도 이용자에게 건강·의학정보를 수집 정리하여 능동적인 지역정보봉사를 제공해야만 하는 시점에 와 있다. 본 연구에서는 공공도서관에서 지역정보봉사의 개선을 위한 한 방안으로 의자정보사이트의 구축과 관리를 지원하는 통합 지식관리시스템 모형을 제안하고자 한다. 따라서 이론적 배경으로 공공도서관의 의학 정보서비스에 관련된 이슈와 지식경영과 지식관리시스템에 관련된 이슈를 다룬다. 그 다음 국내외 12개 의학정보사이트를 분석한 후 공공도서관 의학정보사이트 구축에 대한 계획 및 구성을 제안한다. 끝으로 의학정보사이트를 지원하는 5개의 하부 시스템으로 구성된 통합 지식관리시스템의 모형을 다음과 같이 제안한다: 1)지식창출 시스템, 2)기술지원 시스템, 3)교육지원 시스템 4)커뮤니티 시스템, 5)지식공유 네트워크 시스템. 이 시스템은 지식경영에 기초를 둔 통합 지식관리시스템으로서 공공도서관이 보다 경쟁력을 갖고 지역정보봉사를 효율적으로 수행하도록 지원할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to develop the education programs for the archival librarian in Korea. The importance of archival work requires that archivists should receive an archival education at university. But there is no professional education programs in Korea. The interdisciplinary character of archival studies programs make it possible to place them in a variety of setting, such as a department of library and information science, department of history. Currently, archival education must assume a much more prominent role within the library and information science. Library and information science educators, increasingly concerned with their own survival, seek rational ways to diversify their area. They are looking at mergers with allied fields. Archival education programs will find a welcome home in a number of existing department of library and information science. Archival education programs could be provided according to three categories undergraduate coursework, master of archival studies, and continuing education programs. The body of knowledge that a student should master as part of an archival education program is classified here as basic knowledge of archival studies, specified knowledge of archives and records, practical knowledge of archives and records management, and complementary and contextual knowledge of archival studies.

This study sought to examine five theses from major journals concerning Korea's Library and Information Science, published from 1970 to 2018, so as to diagnose the current stage of International Research collaboration in the field of Korea's Library and Information Science which researchers from two or more different nations jointly conducted. Furthermore, it proposed measures for activating International Research collaboration in the field of Korea's Library and Information Science. First, related conferences should be held and education need to be offered in terms of elevating the awareness of the need and importance of international research collaboration. Second, relevant policies need to be developed and projects should be implemented to strengthen the practical international research collaboration. Third, collaboration with various countries should be pursued in the area of detailed majors of library and information science of greater diversity than now in terms of the detailed majors and countries. Fourth, a research environment supporting the collaboration with various research institutions overseas moving forward will need to be created around the universities.
