A Study on Lightweight Transformer Based Super Resolution Model Using Knowledge Distillation (지식 증류 기법을 사용한 트랜스포머 기반 초해상화 모델 경량화 연구)

  • Recently, the transformer model used in natural language processing is also applied to the image super resolution field, showing good performance. However, these transformer based models have a disadvantage that they are difficult to use in small mobile devices because they are complex and have many learning parameters and require high hardware resources. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a knowledge distillation technique that can effectively reduce the size of a transformer based super resolution model. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that by applying the proposed technique to the student model with reduced number of transformer blocks, performance similar to or higher than that of the teacher model could be obtained.

  • Trust-based solutions provide some form of payment to peers to encourage good behavior. The problem with trust management systems is that they require prior knowledge to work. In other words, peers are vulnerable to attack if they do not have knowledge or correct knowledge of other peers in a trust management system. Therefore, considering only trust is inadequate when a decision is made to identify the best set of peers to utilize. In order to solve the problem, we propose a distributed decision-making mechanism for wireless peer-to-peer (P2P) networks based on game theory and relevant trust mechanisms in which we incorporate the element of trust and risk into a single model. The main idea of our mechanism is to use utility function to express the relationship between benefits and costs of peers, and then make the decision based on expected utility as well as risk attitude in a fully distributed fashion. The unique feature of our mechanism is that it not only helps a peer to select its partners, but also mitigates vulnerabilities in trust-based mechanisms. Through analysis and experiments, we believe our approach is useful for peers to make the decision regarding who to interact with. In addition, it is also a good starting point for exploring tradeoffs among risk, trust and utility.

  • Knowledge space theory is a theory that provides a guidelines for human learners' possible education decisions and has been used in various educational environment. However, traditional methodologies using the knowledge space theory have always depended on handwork system and it is necessary to learn programming language such as Visual Basic and R, causing time consuming situations. In order to overcome those issues on the environment of education we propose a new Knowledge Structure Analysis System that not just analyzes learners' knowledge structures automatically but to provide critical learning path for the learners based on knowledge space theory. Proposed system is implemented by using rApache generating critical learning path computing Chi-square value. This provides an automatic way of analyzing knowledge structure in learners' knowledge space and shows systematic reviews for the knowledge space.

  • 지식서비스에서는 최근 자사의 지식정보에 대해 대표적인 지식 구축 채널로 발전중인 블로그(Blog)와의 연계를 추구하기 위해 트랙백(Trackback) 서비스 제공하고 있으며 이를 통해 자사를 넘어 다양한 블로그 서비스를 통해 지식 정보를 제공하고 있는 블로그 사이트들 과의 지식 체인(Knowledge Chain)을 형성하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지식 체인 서비스를 제공하고 있는 다음 커뮤니케이션사의 지식 서비스에 대한 트랙백 주소 확보를 위한 구조 및 환경에 대해 분석 제공하고 있으며, 앞서 언급한 지식서비스와 블로그간의 지식 체인 형성시 필수적으로 요구되는 트랙백 주소 확보를 보다 용이하게 할 수 있도록 웹 기반의 비동기적 통신 스크립트 기술인 AJAX를 이용하는 클라이언트 측의 웹 어플리케이션 형태의 "트랙백 주소 추출 시스템"을 제시 구현하고 있다.

Regional Science and Technology Resource Allocation Optimization Based on Improved Genetic Algorithm

  • With the advent of the knowledge economy, science and technology resources have played an important role in economic competition, and their optimal allocation has been regarded as very important across the world. Thus, allocation optimization research for regional science and technology resources is significant for accelerating the reform of regional science and technology systems. Regional science and technology resource allocation optimization is modeled as a double-layer optimization model: the entire system is characterized by top-layer optimization, whereas the subsystems are characterized by bottom-layer optimization. To efficaciously solve this optimization problem, we propose a mixed search method based on the orthogonal genetic algorithm and sensitivity analysis. This novel method adopts the integrated modeling concept with a combination of the knowledge model and heuristic search model, on the basis of the heuristic search model, and simultaneously highlights the effect of the knowledge model. To compare the performance of different methods, five methods and two channels were used to address an application example. Both the optimized results and simulation time of the proposed method outperformed those of the other methods. The application of the proposed method to solve the problem of entire system optimization is feasible, correct, and effective.

  • 음악은 인류의 대표적인 예술로서 오랜 세월동안 사랑을 받아왔다. 그 오래된 세월만큼이나 인류가 만들어온 음악의 수는 방대하다. 방대한 음악이 IT기술의 발달과 인터넷의 확산을 통하여 온라인 음악시장을 형성하였고 음악은 디지털 음원으로 관리되게 되었다. 이러한 디지털 음원을 효과적으로 검색하기 위한 방법은 많이 연구되었다. 그리고 검색을 도와줄 대량의 디지털 음원 자료들을 저장하고 관리하는 기법에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 대용량 자료를 처리하는 기술로 관심 받고 있는 하둡을 통하여 이 문제를 연구하였다. 하둡의 맵리듀스, HDFS 그리고 HBase를 이용하여 음악 내용기반검색을 설계하였다. 본 시스템은 음악 검색 시스템을 관리하고 유지하는데 있어서 컴퓨팅자원을 절약함으로써 비용을 절감 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

Critical Appraisal Study of Knowledge Management and its Importance Among Public Sector

  • The aim of this paper is to review the current knowledge management (KM) practices and their importance in the public sector of Saudi Arabia. Using the term "knowledge management in public sector", a search for available works was done in Google Scholar. In the first stage, the search for literature published under anytime choice was done in the first 10 pages of the search engine. Then another nine pages of Goggle Scholar were searched for more recent works published setting the time as 2014 to 2018. The search yielded 37 usable works for this review. The results of this literature search and review indicated that out of the 37 works reviewed, only three works were related to Saudi Arabia. Number of papers on factors of KM were maximum, many of them giving diagrammatic presentation of their results. KM modelling itself is not easy as only very few papers on KM modelling were available. Problems of too much reliance on qualitative data and hypotheses not matching with the literature backgrounds for them were also found. Considering the works related to KM, the number of papers in various categories may indicate the dimensions of KM to be considered when KM is implemented or evaluated in any public sector of any country. This applies to Saudi Arabian public sector organizations also. There is a fertile ground of research waiting to be investigated by researchers in Saudi Arabia.

The Extent of Ordinary Classrooms Teachers' Knowledge and Perception of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • The present study aimed to investigate the extent to which ordinary classrooms teachers are informed are familiar with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder 'ADHD'. The researcher adopted the descriptive approach. The sample of the study consisted of (89) male and female teachers who teach students from grade (1) to grade (6) at public primary schools in Northern Mazar Directorate of Education in Jordan. A questionnaire was employed as the primary tool for collecting the data. The findings of the current study indicated an average level of knowledge of ordinary classroom teachers about ADHD. The findings also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the extent of ordinary classroom teachers' knowledge of ADHD due to the variables (gender, qualification, professional experience, grade level being taught).

  • In a modern society, people are concerned seriously about their travel destinations depending on time, economic problem. In this paper, we propose an non-hierarchical clustering based hybrid recommendation using context knowledge. The proposed method is personalized way of recommended knowledge about preferred travel places according to the user's location, place, and weather. Based on 14 attributes from the data collected through the survey, users with similar characteristics are grouped using a non-hierarchical clustering based hybrid recommendation. This makes more accurate recommendation by weighting implicit and explicit data. The users can be recommended a preferred travel destination without spending unnecessary time. The performance evaluation uses accuracy, recall, F-measure. The evaluation result was shown 0.636 accuracy, 0.723 recall, and 0.676 F-measure.
