Plan for Construction and Utilization of Knowledge-Service Platform for Supporting Biomimicry Technology Development

  • In order to support biomimicry technology development, it is necessary to develop an omnidirectional service platform which can recommend principles of biomimicry and business ideas, providing experts' networks and carrying out their relevant education and promotion on the ground of baseline data and application research materials related to biomimicry. This study was conducted to establish any probable plans for construction and utilization of the future open-platform which will collect and serve the technology of biomimicry. Accordingly, biological and ecological information databases were examined along with the appreciation of construction and management of major biomimicry DB, and, based on the materials from the interview of related experts, a customer journey map was schematized. Lastly, in order to suggest a mid-to-long-term target-model, the roles of a future biomimicry knowledge service-platform were determined along with the potential plans for its construction and management based on case analysis and customers' needs.

  • 과학 기술과 의학 기술의 발달로 전 세계적인 고령화 인구 비율도 해마다 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 고령화 인구 증가 현상에 대한 대책 방안의 하나로 U-HealthCare 시스템에 구글맵(Google Map) 3D 기반의 실시간 위치 추적기법을 적용 시켜 노약자들이 이동하는 중간에 실시간 위치 추적을 실시하여 추후 발생 할 수 있는 위험 사태에 대비하고자 한다. 제안 방식은 구글 맵 3D 서비스 방식이기에 2D 서비스나 문자 서비스 방식보다 시각적으로 건물의 생김새나 주변의 건물에 대한 정확한 파악이 가능하여 노약자들의 위치 정보에 대한 신속한 대체가 가능하다.

A Study on the Change of Knowledge Structure through Keyword Network Analysis : Focus on Business Model Research (키워드 네트워크 분석을 통한 지식구조 변화 연구 : 비즈니스 모델 연구를 중심으로)

  • The business models has a great impact on the successful management of enterprises. Business environment has been shifting from industrial economy to knowledge-based economy. Enterprises go through numerous trials for successful management in the changing environment. Along with trial tests, research areas have been growing simultaneously. Although many researches have been conducted with regard to business models, it is very insufficient to systematically analyze the knowledge flow of research. Accordingly, successive researchers who want to study the business model may find it difficult to establish the orientation of future application research based on understanding the process of changing the knowledge structure that have accumulated so far. This study is intended to determine the current state of the business model research and to understand the process of knowledge structure changes in keywords that appear in 2,667 business model articles in the SCOPUS database. Identifying the knowledge structure has been completed through social network analysis, a methodology based on the 'relationship', and the changes in the knowledge structure were identified by classifying them into four different periods. The analysis showed that, first, the number of business model co-author increases over time with the need for academic diversity. Second, the 'innovation' keyword has the biggest center in the network, and over time, the lower-rank keyword which was in the former period has emerged as the top-rank keyword. Third, the cohesiveness group decreased from 12 before 2000 to 5 in 2015 and also the modularity decreased as well. Finally, examining characteristics of study area through a cognitive map showed that the relationships between domains increased gradually over time. The study has provided a systematic basis for understanding the current state of the business model research and the process of changing knowledge structure. In addition, considering that no research has ever systematically analyzed the knowledge structure accumulated by individual researches, it is considered as a significant study.

  • 이 연구는 정보와 지식을 효과적으로 시각화하기 위해 만들어진 개념적 맵(Conceptual map)들의 종류와 그 특성과 차이점을 분석하고 활용 방안으로서 디지털 스토리텔링으로의 적용 가능성과 방법에 대한 연구이다. 사회현상에 존재하는 다양한 정보에서 사용자가 원하는 정보를 검색하고 조직하기 위해 다이어그램, 그래프, 맵 등 정보시각화를 통한 여러 방법들이 사용되고 있다. 특히 이 중에서 맵을 이용한 시각화에 주목하는 이유는 수많은 정보와 지식을 기반으로 만들어진 개념적 지도가 정보와 지식을 표현해 줄 뿐만 아니라, 이들 사이의 관계를 조직해주는 데에도 효율적으로 사용되고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 정보시각화는 대량의 정보 속에서 사용자들이 찾고자 하는 정보를 빠르고 용이하게 찾을 수 있도록 도와준다. 또한, 일련의 스토리 라인을 갖고 있는 책의 시각화의 경우 등장인물과 그들 주변에서 일어나는 사건들의 관계를 형상화할 수 있다. 이러한 과정을 통해 만들어진 개념적 맵에서는 개개인이 알고 있는 이야기와 그에 관한 정보를 다른 사람들과 의사소통하며 그 정보와 지식들이 확장될 수도 있어, 이는 지식시각화의 좋은 활용사례가 될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 개념적 맵의 세 가지 종류인 개념맵(Concept map), 지식맵(Knowledge map), 토픽맵(Topic map)의 정의와 특성들을 살펴보고, 각각의 구성요소의 차이점을 비교하여 시각화 방법론을 제안하였다. 또한, 각 맵의 특성과 차이점을 이용해 루이스 캐롤(Lewis Carroll)의 <이상한 나라의 엘리스>의 이야기 요소들을 각각의 개념적 맵들로 구성해봄으로써, 그 효과를 확인해보았다. 스토리텔링을 개념적 맵을 이용하여 표현할 경우, 사용자들은 스토리텔링을 효과적으로 접근할 수 있으며, 이러한 분석은 개념적 맵을 제작할 때 가이드라인으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Design and Implementation of Topic Map Generation System based Tag (태그 기반 토픽맵 생성 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • One of core technology in Web 2.0 is tagging, which is applied to multimedia data such as web document of blog, image and video etc widely. But unlike expectation that the tags will be reused in information retrieval and then maximize the retrieval efficiency, unacceptable retrieval results appear owing to toot limitation of tag. In this paper, in the base of preceding research about image retrieval through tag clustering, we design and implement a topic map generation system which is a semantic knowledge system. Finally, tag information in cluster were generated automatically with topics of topic map. The generated topics of topic map are endowed with mean relationship by use of WordNet. Also the topics are endowed with occurrence information suitable for topic pair, and then a topic map with semantic knowledge system can be generated. As the result, the topic map preposed in this paper can be used in not only user's information retrieval demand with semantic navigation but alse convenient and abundant information service.

Childcare Teacher's Concept Map Analysis about Early Childhood Safety Educational Contents (유아안전교육에 대한 보육교사의 개념도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate childcare teacher's knowledge of child safety education. In this study, Novak and Gowin(1984)'s concept map was applied to investigate knowledge of safety instruction. Forty teachers working at child centers were completed the concept map. The results of this study were as follows: First, Teachers used 194 higher concepts. 'Safe action in dander situation'(77.8%) was most frequently used higher concept and followed by 'traffic safety('35%). Second, Teachers used 1,270 dependent concepts. Third, there was significant difference in density according to frequency of safety instruction. These results can be meaningful to decide the contents of child safety instruction for teacher's education and as a basic data for teacher's education.

  • Among the prerequisite abilities (perception of environment, path planning and position estimation) of an autonomous mobile robot, position estimation has been seldom studied by mobile robot researchers. In most cases, conventional positioin estimation has been performed by placing landmarks or giving the entrire environmental information in advance. Unlikely to the conventional ones, the study addresses a new method that the robot itself can select distinctive features in the environment and save them as landmarks without any a priori knowledge, which can maximize the autonomous behavior of the robot. First, an orjentaion probaility model is applied to construct a lcoal map of robot's surrounding. The feature of the object in the map is then extracted and the map is saved as landmark. Also, presented is the position estimation method that utilizes the correspondence between landmarks and current local map. In dong this, the uncertainty of the robot's current positioin is estimated in order to select the corresponding landmark stored in the previous steps. The usefulness of all these approaches are illustrated with the results porduced by a real robot equipped with ultrasonic sensors.

  • The 4th industrial revolution refers to the transition to a knowledge society in which the production speed of knowledge is fast and the proportion of the knowledge industry is greatly increased. The reorganization of the industrial structure and the change of occupations and jobs due to new technologies are bringing about changes in education, and the development of digital technology has made education that is borderless, individual and dynamic, becoming the new standard of education. With these changes, interest in nano-degrees on new technologies or micro-degrees focused on core courses rather than regular course degrees is increasing. As a representative example, Udacity in the United States has opened and operated online nanodegree courses related to jobs, and collaborates with major companies to develop and educate core training courses necessary for companies, thereby efficiently supporting companies in securing talent. With the revitalization of online vocational and job training, an environment has been prepared in which individuals can set goals for vocational competency development and continue their portfolio-based sustainable learning. However, for effective vocational education, automated and personalized educational content design should be preceded. To this end, in this paper, we propose a personalized career and course map recommendation system in the era of online learning

  • This paper investigates how Mind map, Concept map, and Vee diagram facilitates learning mathematics. It also analyzes characteristics, structure, how to make a mall, the possible ways of use and its implications in detail for each map and provides how they can be used for learning mathematics. Mind map is one of most effective tools to make man's thinking power stronger and use the given time as the new way of learning mathematics. Concept map provides the various concepts learned by students more visually with a structured format. As a last, Vee diagram began with the question to explore for the given situation as the tool which is effective in doing exploring and making knowledge acquired vivid in students mind.

  • In the mobile environments for the vector map services, a map simplification work through the map generalization steps helps improve the readability of the map on a large scale. The generalization operations are various such as selection, aggregation, simplification, displacement, and so on, the formal operation algorithms have not been built yet. Because the algorithms require deep special knowledge and heuristic, which make it hard to automate the processes. This thesis proposes some map generalization algorithms specialized in mobile vector map services, based on previous works. We will show the detail to adapt the approaches on the mobile environment, to display complex spatial objects efficiently on the mobile devices which have restriction on the resources
