Using Semantic Knowledge in the Uyghur-Chinese Person Name Transliteration

  • In this paper, we propose a transliteration approach based on semantic information (i.e., language origin and gender) which are automatically learnt from the person name, aiming to transliterate the person name of Uyghur into Chinese. The proposed approach integrates semantic scores (i.e., performance on language origin and gender detection) with general transliteration model and generates the semantic knowledge-based model which can produce the best candidate transliteration results. In the experiment, we use the datasets which contain the person names of different language origins: Uyghur and Chinese. The results show that the proposed semantic transliteration model substantially outperforms the general transliteration model and greatly improves the mean reciprocal rank (MRR) performance on two datasets, as well as aids in developing more efficient transliteration for named entities.

Autonomic Self Healing-Based Load Assessment for Load Division in OKKAM Backbone Cluster

  • Self healing systems are considered as cognation-enabled sub form of fault tolerance system. But our experiments that we report in this paper show that self healing systems can be used for performance optimization, configuration management, access control management and bunch of other functions. The exponential complexity that results from interaction between autonomic systems and users (software and human users) has hindered the deployment and user of intelligent systems for a while now. We show that if that exceptional complexity is converted into self-growing knowledge (policies in our case), can make up for initial development cost of building an intelligent system. In this paper, we report the application of AHSEN (Autonomic Healing-based Self management Engine) to in OKKAM Project infrastructure backbone cluster that mimics the web service based architecture of u-Zone gateway infrastructure. The 'blind' load division on per-request bases is not optimal for distributed and performance hungry infrastructure such as OKKAM. The approach adopted assesses the active threads on the virtual machine and does resource estimates for active processes. The availability of a certain server is represented through worker modules at load server. Our simulation results on the OKKAM infrastructure show that the self healing significantly improves the performance and clearly demarcates the logical ambiguities in contemporary designs of self healing infrastructures proposed for large scale computing infrastructures.

  • For the effective use of satellite communication transponder, tests for the payload system such as IOT(In-Orbit Test), RPM(Routine Payload Monitoring), CSM(Communicatios System Monitoring), and REV(Remote Earth-Station Verification) have to be conducted. Those tests are used in order to verify the condition and generic design of the satellite, to provide a database for operational calculations, and to maintain the quality of communication services. As the satellite communication system gets with wider expansion with higher complexity of operation, tests for the communication system also need more complex operation that usesophisticated computer-controlled measuring system. For and C language based measurement functions, which uses GPIB protocol and SCPI commands. But SICL requires knowledge of BASIC and C language as well as GPIB and SCPL system. This paper introduces a new language called CALSTEP-Control and Access Language for the Systems of Test Equipment and Payload. This language is designed for the operator to perform the tests for the satellite communication system without any special knowledge that is mentioned above. This language has very limited number of commands which are to be used to control the payload system and test equipments to perform IOT and CSM, and those commands are very readable and easy to understand, so an operator without any knowledge of BASIC and C programming language, or SICL and SCPI command can use it.

지각된 위험과 지각된 혜택이 모바일 상거래 이용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Determinants of Purchase Intention in Mobile Commerce: Focused on the Mediating Role of Perceived Rrisks and Perceived Benefits)

  • This study is an empirical study about the effects of perceived risks and perceived benefits on purchase intention in mobile commerce. Perceived risks and perceived benefits are proposed as mediators that make a significant impact on purchase intention in mobile commerce. Also, this study compared the direct effect of perceived risks, perceived benefits and consumer subjective knowledge to purchase intention. As antecedents of perceived risks and perceived benefits, subjective knowledge, mobile Internet familiarity, credibility for the purchase and provided information level are proposed and verified. Results from this study are as follows: First, the effect of perceived risks to purchase intention is not significant whereas that of perceived benefits is significant. Second, this study revealed that mobile Internet familiarity, credibility for the purchase and information level are significantly related to mobile purchase intention through perceived benefit. Third, subjective knowledge makes a significant impact on purchase intention directly not mediated by perceived risk or perceived benefit. Based on these results, managerial implications for mobile commerce vitalization and marketing strategy are discussed. Finally, limitation for this research and further research issues are suggested.

조직의 정보보안 분위기가 조직 구성원의 정보보안 참여 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Organizational Information Security Climate on Employees' Information Security Participation Behavior)

  • Purpose Although examining the antecedents of employees' extra-role behavior (i.e. information security participation behavior) in the information security context is significant for researchers and practitioners, most behavioral security studies have focused on employees' in-role behavior (i.e. information security policy compliance). Thus, this research addresses this gap by investigating how organizational information security climate influences information security participation behavior based on social information processing theory and Griffin and Neal's safety model. Design/methodology/approach We developed a research model by applying Griffin and Neal's safety model to the information security context and then tested our research model by conducting an online survey for employees of organizations with information security policies. Structural equation modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3.3.2 is used to test the corresponding hypothesis. Findings Our results show that organizational information security climate, information security knowledge, information security motivation are effective in motivating information security participation behavior. Also, we find that organizational information security climate positively influences both information security knowledge and information security motivation. Our findings emphasize the importance of organizational information security climate because it is capable of affecting employees on information security participation behavior. Our study contributes to the literature on information security by exploring the role of organizational information security climate in enhancing employees' information security participation behavior.

어텐션 기반의 지속학습에서 정규화값 제어 방법 (Regularization Strength Control for Continuous Learning based on Attention Transfer)

  • 본 논문에서는 LwF에서 도메인 차이에 따른 성능 하락 현상을 해결하기 위해, 각 손실값에 각각 다른 가변람다를 적용하는 알고리즘을 제안하여, 향상된 과거 지식유지가 이루어 지게 한다. 이 지식 전달 기반의 방법을 LwF와 접목하여, 과거 학습 태스크의 지식 유지 성능을 강화하였다. 가변 람다 방법을 추가적으로 적용하여, 현재 학습할 태스크를 잘 학습할 수 있도록 람다 값을 가변적으로 조절할 수 있었다. 본 논문의 제안 방법을 적용하여 학습한 결과 시나리오에 상관없이 평균 5% 정도 데이터의 정확도가 향상하였고, 특히 본 논문의 목표인 과거 지식을 유지하는 성능이 최대 70% 가까이 개선되었고, 과거 학습 데이터의 정확도가 기존 LwF 대비 평균 22% 상승하였다.

Fourier-Based PLL Applied for Selective Harmonic Estimation in Electric Power Systems

  • In this paper, the Fourier-based PLL (Phase-locked Loop) is introduced with a new structure, capable of selective harmonic detection in single and three-phase systems. The application of the FB-PLL to harmonic detection is discussed and a new model applicable to three-phase systems is introduced. An analysis of the convergence of the FB-PLL based on a linear model is presented. Simulation and experimental results are included for performance analysis and to support the theoretical development. The decomposition of an input signal in its harmonic components using the Fourier theory is based on previous knowledge of the signal fundamental frequency, which cannot be easily implemented with input signals with varying frequencies or subjected to phase-angle jumps. In this scenario, the main contribution of this paper is the association of a phase-locked loop system, with a harmonic decomposition and reconstruction method, based on the well-established Fourier theory, to allow for the tracking of the fundamental component and desired harmonics from distorted input signals with a varying frequency, amplitude and phase-angle. The application of the proposed technique in three-phase systems is supported by results obtained under unbalanced and voltage sag conditions.

  • Implementation of Model-based Systems Engineering(MBSE) depends on a model supporting efficient communication among engineers from various domains. And SysML is designed to create models supporting MBSE but unfortunately, SysML itself is not practical enough to be used in real-world engineering projects. SysML is designed to express generic systems and requires specialized knowledge, so a model written in SysML is less capable of supporting communication between a systems engineer and a sub-system engineer. Domain Specific Languages(DSL) can be a great solution to overcome the weakness of the standard SysML. A SysML based DSL means a customized SysML for a specific engineering domain. Unfortunately, current researches on SysML Domain Specific Language(DSL) for the plant engineering industry are still on the early stage. So as the first step, we have developed our own SysML based Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) creation environment and P&ID itself of a specific plant system, using a widely used SysML authoring tool called MagicDraw. P&ID is one of the most critical output during the plant design phase, which contains all information required for the plant construction phase. So a SysML based P&ID has a great potential to enhance the communication among plant engineers of various disciplines.

  • 지식을 효과적으로 표현하고 검색하는 방법에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라, 토픽맵을 비롯한 지식 표현 기법들이 점점 중요해지고 있다. 토픽맵은 지식을 구조화하여 표현하게 되는데 지식은 매우 복잡한 의미적 관계를 포함하고 있기 때문에 이를 의미적으로 일관성 있게 유지, 관리하는 것은 매우 중요한 문제가 된다. 현재 토픽맵 무결성 검사를 위하여 TMCL을 비롯한 여러 토픽맵 제약 조건 언어와 시스템들이 제안되었다. 그러나 이들은 단순한 의미적 제약들에 대해 지원하고 있지만, 의존성과 같은 복잡한 제약들에 대한 것들은 다루고 있지 못하다. 또한, 단순히 응용 레벨에서 제약들을 검사함으로써 좋지 않은 성능을 보인다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존의 정보 시스템 분야 및 관련 분야에서 제공하고 있는 제약 언어들의 특성을 기반으로 TMCL을 확장하였다. 또한 이를 효율적으로 지원하기 위한 관계형 데이타베이스기반의 토픽맵 무결성 검사 기법을 제안하고 구현하였다. 구현한 시스템에서는 TMCL에서 제공하고 있는 기본적인 토픽맵 제약 조건들뿐만 아니라 의존성과 같은 복잡한 형태의 제약도 다루고 있다. 그리고 각각의 제약 조건을 검사할 때 템플릿을 이용하여 질의를 생성시켜 효율적인 무결성 검사가 가능하게 함으로써 기존 시스템들의 검사 방식에 비해 높은 성능을 보임을 확인하였다.

부산지역 지식경영을 위한 혁신클러스터 모델 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on development of Innovational Cluster for Knowledge Management in Busan)

  • 부산지역 지식경영을 위한 혁신클러스터 모델을 구축하게 되면, 첫째, 기존의 산업집적론에 비하여 과학기술인프라, 선진적인 고객욕구 충족에는 새로운 생산요소의 중요성이 요구되는 데, 이것은 경쟁력의 기반이 되는 지식베이스의 새로운 시대에 적합한 로케이션으로 전문화가 요구되는 스킬이나 지식, 레벨이 높은 모델이 반드시 필요하다. 둘째, 클러스터의 개념과 모델은 단순히 기업만이 아니고, 대학, 연구기관, 금융기관, 정부와 지자체 등의 다양한 조직을 포함하고 있는 특징을 가지고 있다. 셋째, 집적의 효과로서 비용의 최소화를 강조하는 전통적인 집적론에 비하여 클러스터 이론에서는 이노베이션의 의의를 지적하고 있다. 이것은 글로벌화나 정보기술의 발달로 인하여 환경변화가 급속하게 진전하고 있는 속에서, 국가나 지역의 경쟁우위의 원천으로서 이노베이션의 실현을 통하여 생산성의 중요성을 나타내고 있다. 넷째, 클러스터의 모델은 네트워크를 베이스로 한 협조관계에 있다고 하는 잘못된 이해가 실무자들을 시작으로 연구자들 상호간에도 클러스터 안에서 전개되고 있는 치열한 경쟁(특히, 이노베이션을 중심으로 한 경쟁)이 지역의 경쟁우위를 유지하기 위하여 없어서는 안 되는 프로그램을 명시하고 있다. 따라서 부산지역의 새로운 발전 모델은 기술개발의 낙후, 인력과 원자재 확보의 어려움 등 많이 있지만, 이를 완화 내지는 극복할 수 있는 혁신적인 프로그램이 없는 문제점을 해결할 수 있다.
