  • Fashion industry that is apparel of the latest textile industry become the center and it is universal inclination that addend value of design is high more and our country apparel industry is accelerating change by life culture industry of the high added value center. Differentiation of goods, high added value anger can be required by activation of professional manpower for strengthening competitiveness of domestic apparel field, and it is design to be texture another thing can raise this. Specific education to train able member of society based on these actual conditions grasping society actual conditions in present age that is specialized and diversifies and atomizes should be achieved. Hereupon, we have researched over current education status about domestic textile related courses and come to a conclusion described below. Domestic textile related courses are offering mostly in weaving and staining as major subjects, therefore distinguished character of each university can not be found. However, in comparison of importance between theoretical courses and practical courses, theoretical courses are gradually considered more importantly And the number of courses about commodity and operation is steadily increasing compared to those of design element. Nevertheless, for the concept of creativity as design education ever been pursuing by experiment and practice, we are also required to keep close relationship with industry as well as making efforts to reduce differences between college education and practical business. In addition, textile related colleges also need to be armed with more professional knowledge in odor to provide their students not only with more job opportunities but also with chances for self-development.

  • The most important task in Korean dairy industry is to keep the seasonal and annual balance of raw milk supply and demand. Too much surplus milk supply which causes dumping sale of market milk makes dairy industries get in trouble of management, and eventually affects to farmers and consumers economically. As balancing of supply and demand is so important in the fee economic market system, the adaption of the quota system of milk production and seasonal price differentiation has been recommended very often as a method of controlling the milk supply and demand. However, this recommendation did not go through successfully due to the strong objection of dairy farmers. Recently, the voice of consumer's requirement for safer and more hygienic, and high protein, low fat level dairy product is getting stronger. By knowledge of this kind changes, quality improvement in nutrients and hygiene is the most positive way to expand the volume of milk consumption. To meet the consumer's demand, therefore, it is necessary to revise the level of milk fat content and the hygienic grading system for the payment system of raw milk.

  • This research note probes the largely ignored sphere of smart tourism curriculum as destinations and institutions seek to develop graduates ready to embrace the demands and challenges of future work environments where technology has a ubiquitous presence. This knowledge gap is somewhat surprising, even as destinations progress towards smart tourism futures, without necessarily clarifying what human resources need to possess in the coming decades. Drawing from available smart tourism curriculum across the globe, and emergent trends associated with Generation Alpha and Beta, this research note paints a timely picture of how smart tourism curriculum should be designed and developed to meet the needs of industry and consumer demands and expectations.

  • In the 21st century, the 4th Industrial Revolution is in need of talented people who are equipped with experience and knowledge of various industries. Each university operates a capstone design to nurture the talent needed for practical work and attaches importance to the industry. However, since students in a single major plan as team members, there are limitations in current market situation and environmental awareness, marketing and design. In order to improve the shortcomings of the capstone design, which is carried out at the center level, engineering and design need to collaborate with each other without focusing only on the technical part. In this study, the researcher introduces the engineering and design linkage cases of the Capstone Design Program operated by the Department of Media Software and seeks to improve them. First, the educational purpose and operation plan of capstone design in the engineering field was reviewed and the improvement plan was suggested based on the result of the program case operated by the researcher.

  • In the knowledge-based society, IT literacy and application of a person become a measure of personal competitiveness. As IT industry is of great important nationally, many countries are trying to make an effort to promote IT industry. In this sense, identification and fostering of the gifted children in IT become an important national task since, in IT industry, usually only a few prodigies have led whole IT industry. Currently gifted education aims for convergent gifted education according to government policy. The purpose of this paper is to investigate correlation of information subject and convergent subject for the gifted children in IT. For this purpose, the gifted children in IT who attended a gifted science education center attached to a university at Seoul Metropolitan Area are selected. Their grades during their the period of attendance are collected and analysed. The statistical results show that there is a meaningful correlation between information subject and convergent subject for the gifted children in IT. It means that the higher scores information subject is, the higher scores convergent subject is. The results can be used to make or change gifted curriculum and education contents for gifted IT education.

  • Recently as globalization of financial capital is progressed, possibility of crisis and unreliability of world economy is more growing. Korean economy required radical restructuring because of the financial crisis and the economic changes occurred in that process. This study is to explain the economic changes of Gwanagju city is produced by the financial crisis of Korean economy The most important industries are service and transportation equipment in Gwangju city. These industries began to decrease after financial crisis but machinery equipment, electrical machinery & electronics and rubber goods & plastic industry is growing relatively. Because of the decrease of service, the economy of inner city which service industry relatively agglomerated in is reducing. And agglomeration space for the optical photonics industry was built up by the upbringing policy of government on high-technology industry to overcome the economic crisis and micro industrial space such as venture building and establishment nursery center was built up. But high-technology industries have many geographical limits to embed in Gwanagju city, so there needs to construct regional innovation system for knowledge based economies

  • In Korea, there exist around 120 regional innovation centers(RICs) which have been established in many universities since the mid-nineties by Ministry of Knowledge Economy of Korea. These centers aim at higher competitiveness of their local industry by providing it with direct services using expensive testing or manufacturing equipment along with cooperative technology development and well trained work forces. Considering the nationwide importance of human resources development in the key industrial sectors, the RICs naturally should take part of responsibility because the most advanced equipments in each important industrial field have been invested during the last 15 years which amount over 500 million US dollars. In the present study, a brief concept for the industry-oriented human resources development program utilizing the already established RIC infrastructure is proposed.

  • The purpose of this study is to look at the development and status of Danish Agricultural Advisory Service (DAAS) and to find some implications on Korean agricultural and rural extension. Agriculture is main industry contributed to economic growth in Denmark. Main factors of this success would be strong farmers' organizations, commercial co-operatives, farmers' active participation in training and education, and independent advisory service owned and managed by farmers. DAAS has unique developmental history. First service was started by local farmer's organization in 1871. Farmers themselves wanted to start advisory service in order to improve the quality of butter. National center of DAAS was established in 1971 in order to disseminate knowledge to local centers, to develop new activities and computer programs, and to deliver in-service training of local advisors. In 2010, one national center with 550 employees and 32 local centers with 2,900 employes are serving for 48,000 farms. The service covers almost all farmers' needs such as production, finance, tax, buildings, crops, livestock, organic production, environment, legal matter. DAAS Academy tries to offer relevant, just-in-time training activities in order to develop the competences of advisors effectively.

  • This paper proposes an outlier detection model based on machine learning that can diagnose the presence or absence of major engine parts through unsupervised learning analysis of main engine big data of a ship. Engine big data of the ship was collected for more than seven months, and expert knowledge and correlation analysis were performed to select features that are closely related to the operation of the main engine. For unsupervised learning analysis, ensemble model wherein many predictive models are strategically combined to increase the model performance, is used for anomaly detection. As a result, the proposed model successfully detected the anomalous engine status from the normal status. To validate our approach, clustering analysis was conducted to find out the different patterns of anomalies the anomalous point. By examining distribution of each cluster, we could successfully find the patterns of anomalies.
