Special attention has been paid to human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) for athlete doping control because it stimulates the endogenous production of testosterone and epitestosterone without increasing the T/E ratio which is a doping indicator for the exogenous administration of testosterone. Even though the IOC banned the use of hCG, a detection method has not been decided upon since there are a variety of immunoassay kits available on the market. We evaluated three kits in terms of their performance characteristics. The assay value of the control sample varied depending on the kit, resulting in 198 mIU/ml for the MAIA kit, 172mIU/ml for the IRMA kit, and 143 mIU/ml for the MEIA kit. Considering the IOC inter-lab distribution of results(55-312 mIU/ml) using 27 different kits and the mean value (178$\pm$56 mIU/ml), all three kits are within the range of －15.8% - ＋5.6% of the mean value, which proves them useful for the hCG assay. The MEIA kit resulted in lower hCG values because it detects only intact hCG molecules, in contrast to the other two kits which detect intact hCG and -hCG together. However, it is suitable for screening purposes because of its advantage of being an automated system. When 123 urine samples of athletes were analyzed in 22 batches using this system, the variation of control values fell within $\pm$ 10% of the mean values, and an specimens tested negative with hCG values less than the detection limit of 2 mIU/ml.

Objectives: To document the incidence and pattern of c-kit protein expression & mutation in adenoid cystic carcinomas. Materials and Methods: Twenty-five cases of adenoid cystic carcinomas of the major and minor salivary glands and the upper and lower respiratory tract were subjected to the immunohistochemical study for ckit(CD117 ; Dako). Nineteen cases of them were analyzed for mutations in exon 11 and exon 17 by PCR-SSCP, and in cases of need, by DNA sequencing. Results: Twenty-three cases (92%) showed c-kit expression, but none showed mutations in exon 11 and exon 17. The expression was restricted to the inner luminal cells in all tubular types and most of cribriform adenoid cystic carcinomas, while the staining was diffuse in all solid variants and two cribriform types. Conclusion: C-kit expression was common in adenoid cystic carcinomas, regardless of their origins. Although genetic bases await further studies, a clinical trial of tyrosine kinase inhibitors in adenoid cystic carcinomas, especially in solid variants, is considered encouraging.

본 논문은 AVR 실습키트를 원격으로 실습할 수 있도록 카메라, 아두이노, AVR 실습키트를 이용하여 원격실습 키트를 구현한다. 구현된 시스템은 원격지에서 한번에 한사람씩 다수의 사용자가 실습을 수행할 수 있다. 실습자는 PC의 원격제어 방법을 이용하여 AVR Studio 프로그램을 작성하고 AVR 실습키트에 다운로드 한다. 그리고, 버튼 입력, 가변저항 입력은 컴퓨터 프로그램을 작성하여 마우스를 클릭하거나 드래그 하면 입력 신호는 아두이노에 전달되고 아두이노는 실제 버튼 입력신호나 아날로그 전압을 AVR 키트에 전달한다. 입력 신호를 받아서 AVR 키트가 동작하면 카메라를 통해서 동작 모습을 확인 할 수 있다. 따라서 구현된 시스템을 이용하면 다수의 사용자가 하나의 키트를 이용하여 AVR 실습을 수행할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a new makeup-kit brand for education, analyzing customer satisfaction of makeup-kits used in makeup lessons provided by lifelong education centers of colleges. The research method is as follows. In order to understand the current status of the kits used in makeup lessons offered by lifelong education centers of colleges in South Korea, the study conducted a survey from October 10 of 2014 to October 31 via fax, telephone and e-mail targeting these 98 colleges that were open makeup-courses available in October 2014. As for an analysis technique, the study used a frequency analysis. In order to develop a makeup-kit brand, the study investigated these makeup-kits as well and presented a BI draft and a makeup-kit design that the study had created for itself using Photoshop CS6 and Illustrator CS4. According to findings of the survey, the students were not satisfied with kits that had too many items, were high in price and had poor case design. In the light of that, the study conducted to develop a low to middle priced makeup-kit ranging from 110,000 KRW and 150,000 KRW with approximately 26 items. In terms of a case design, black was a dominant color which would make the case feel simple and modern. Dimensions of a small size makeup-kit container were 22cm*35cm*37cm with a sponge and rubber pad proposed as product ideas. The study also worked on a BI design.

Purpose Alpha fetoprotein(AFP) is a fetal serum protein that increases in germ cell tumors derived from liver cancer or egg yolk. AFP test has been used for screening of liver cancer, determination of tumor stage, determination of therapeutic effect, and fetal congenital malformations. The purpose of this study was to compare the results of the four kits, identify the advantages and disadvantages of each kit, and select the appropriate kits for our laboratory. Materials and Methods Blood samples were obtained from 89 patients attending the Seoul national university hospital. Experiments were carried out in accordance with manufacturer's instructions of four companies(A, B, C, D). The precision, recovery, linearity, and sensitivity test were performed for each kit. Results In case of the precision within the measurement, the CV value of the C kit was less than 5% at the low, middle, and high concentrations. The A, B and D kit's the CV value was less than 5% at the concentrations except the low concentration. The recovery rates of the A, B, C, and D kits were $100{\pm}15%$, $100{\pm}30%$, $100{\pm}16%$ and $100{\pm}14%$, respectively. All kits showed good linearity. Sensitivity was measured as 0.5 IU/mL for A, 0.4 IU/mL for B, 0.98 IU/mL for C, and 0.3 IU/mL for D. Conclusion The CV values of the four kits were within 10%, and the correlation coefficients were close to 1 for $R^2=0.978$, $R^2=0.992$ and $R^2=0.8957$. As a result, they are clinically available. Therefore, each laboratory should select the appropriate kit for their experiment's environment.

Colostrum, which contains various immune and growth factors, aids wound healing by promoting keratinocyte proliferation. Aquaporins (AQPs) are small, hydrophobic membrane proteins that regulate cellular water retention. However, few studies have examined the effect of processed colostrum whey on AQP-3 expression in human skin cells. Here, we investigated the effect of milk, colostrum, fermented milk, and fermented colostrum whey on AQP-3 expression in keratinocyte HaCaT cells. Concentrations of 100-400 ㎍/mL of fermented colostrum whey were found to induce HaCaT cell proliferation. AQP-3 was found to be expressed exclusively in HaCaT cells. AQP-3 expression was significantly increased in 100 ㎍/mL fermented colostrum whey-treated cells compared with that in controls. Moreover, fermented colostrum increased p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) phosphorylation, but not ERK1/2 phosphorylation. Thus, our results suggest that fermented colostrum whey increased AQP-3 expression in, and the proliferation of, keratinocytes via JNK and p38 MAPK activation.

농축상을 포함한 다원 반응계의 Gibbs Free Energy 최소화 계산을 수행하여 이산화탄소 개질반응에 대한 열역학적 분석을 수행하였으며, $Al_2O_3$, $La_2O_3$, ZSM-5, MCM-41, 그리고 KIT-1의 담체에 담지된 니켈 촉매와 상업용 개질 촉매 ICI 46-1상에서 이산화탄소에 의한 메탄의 개질 반응 실험을 수행하였다. 메탄의 이산화탄소에 의한 개질반응 열역학 계산은 $CH_4$, $CO_2$, CO, $H_2$, $H_2O$, C계에서 수행하는 것이 바람직하였고, 수증기나 산소의 첨가 효과는 이산화탄소의 개질 반응 기여도를 감소시키는 것으로 예상되었다. Ni/ZSM-5, Ni/MCM-41, Ni/KIT-1등 실리케이트 계열의 분자체 담체에 니켈을 담지시킨 촉매가 메탄과 이산화탄소의 전화율이 우수하며, 일산화탄소 수율도 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 이산화탄소 개질 반응에 대한 코크의 침적은 칼슘 산화물을 첨가함으로써 감소되었으며, 10% Ni과 3% Ca를 담지시킨 Ni/Ca/KIT-1 촉매가 20시간 동안 $650^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 평형 전화율에 근접한 이산화탄소와 메탄의 전화율을 나타냄이 확인되었다. 또한 상대적으로 높은 공간 속도에도 우수한 활성을 나타내었다.

유전자변형작물의 이점과 잠재적 위해에 관한 다른 사회적 인식은 각국에서 다른 반응을 유발시켜왔다 한국을 포함한 많은 국가는 새로운 규제를 제정하기 위해 부심하고 있다 한국은 최근에 3% 이상의 유전자변형작물 혼입을 포함하는 모든 식품에 표시제를 실시하였다. 유전자변형작물 혼입을 신속하고 간편하게 검출하는 방법의 하나는 PCR에 의한 도입 DNA의 증폭이다 이 목적을 위한 많은 PCR kit가 시판되고 있어, 본 연구는 이들 상업화된 유전자변형작물 검출 kit의 성능을 시험하였다. 그 결과 이들 15개 kit 중 6개는 안정성, 재현성 및 검출 한계의 측면에서 제작사 스스로 제시한 요구조건도 충족하지 못하여 이들 kit의 개발 및 생산 단계에서 품질관리에 문제점이 있음을 시사하였다 본 시험은 또한 duplex와 triplex검출 kit가 단일 PCR 반응에서 명백한 검출을 보장할지라도, monoplex 검출 kit의 검출 능력이 가장 높다는 것을 시사하였다. 또한, kit들은 콩과 옥수수 사이에서 다른 검출 한계를 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 GM 작물의 재배, 국가간 이동, GM 작물을 사용한 식품 생산 과정의 모니터링 뿐만 아니라 GM작물과 관련한 정부의 법규를 준수하기 위한 GM작물의 혼입의 건전한 과학적 추적체계의 개발에 유용할 것이라 사료된다.

To assess the analytic performance of immunoradiometric TSH assay (IRMA TSH), assay precision determined by intra and interassay variance, assay accuracy determined by dilution and recovery study, were evaluated by using two commercial kit $(Abott^{(R)}\;and\;Daichi^{(R)})$. Normal range of basal serum TSH and TRH stimulated TSH increment were also determined in 234 healthy subjects (male 110, female 124; age 20-70) and 30 voluteers (male 10, female 20; age 21-26). In addition, basal TSH levels of 70 patients with untreated hyperthyroidism, 50 untreated hypothyroidism, and 60 euthyroidism were measured to assess the clinical utility of IRMA TSH. The detection limit of IRMA TSH was 0.04 mU/l and 0.08 mU/l by Abott Kit and Daichi kit respectively. Using Abott kit, intra assay variance were 2.0, 3.1 and 1.4% in mean TSH concentration 2.4, 31.6 and 98.2 mU/l repectively and interassay variance were 2.0 and 3.2% in mean TSH concentration 2.3 and 31.3 mU/l. Mean recovery rate was 92.5% and dilution study showed nearly straight line. When Daichi kit was used, intrasssay variance were 5.6, 5.2 and 6.2% in mean TSH concentration of 2.4, 31.6 and 98.2 mU/l respectively and interassay variance were 7.1 and 7.4% in mean TSH of 2.3 and 31.3 mU/l. Mean recoveray rate was 89.9%. Normal range of basal TSH and TRH stimulated peak TSH were 0.38-4.02 mU/l and 2.85-30.8 mU/l repectively (95% confidence interval, Abott kit used). Sensitivity and specificity of basal TSH levels for diagnosing hypothyroidism as well as specificity for diagnosing hyperthyroidism were 100% by using both kit. Sensitivity of basal TSH level for diagnosing hyperthyroidism was 100% when TSH levels were measured by Abott kit while that was 80.9% when measured by Daichi kit. These results suggest that IRMA TSH was very precise and accurate method and might be used as a first line test in the evaluation of thyroid function.

국내 최초로 개발되는 공대지 유도키트에 대하여 미국의 MIL-HDBK 및 STANDARD를 준용한 시험을 성공적으로 수행하였다. 각종 지상시험을 통하여 유도키트의 작동 성능과 내구성을 검증하였으며, 유도키트를 일반목적폭탄에 장착한 활공탄으로 비행시험을 수행하여 중거리 활공비행성능 및 정확도가 매우 양호함을 확인하였다.
