Investigation on the Improvement of Computer Aided Calibration Methods for Hot-Wire and Hot Film Probes (컴퓨터원용 열선 및 열필름 프로브의 교정방법 개선에 대한 연구)

  • New computer-aided calibration methods for the hot-wire and split film probes are presented. The proposed modified king's law takes into account instantaneous flow angle as well as the variation of calibration coefficients due to the total velocity magnitude change. It is found that the look-up table method has many advantages with respect to the accuracy on data and reducing run time for calibration over other conventional methods. In order to investigate the local sensitivity of the static calibration, a dynamic calibration procedure is also carried out.

  • 한국 종합주가지수는 한국증권거래소에 상장된 모든 기업들의 가치 가중치에 의한 포트폴리오의 가격의 시계열이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 이 지수는 한국 경제의 현재의 활동과 미래의 활동에 대한 예상의 총합의 반영 또는 표상을 표현하는 정보라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 시차변수가 독립변수로 도입될 수도 있으며, 시차변수가 아닌 변수가 독립변수로 도입되는 것이 허용되는 회귀모형을 통하여 구조변화의 회수와 구조변환점을 검정할 수 있는 통계량과 이 통계량의 확률분포를 분석하고 한국 종합주가지수에 적용하여 한국 종합주가 지수의 일별수익률에 구조변화가 발생하였는지의 여부와 발생했다면 발생회수와 변환점들을 발견하는데 그 목적이 있다. 한국 종합주가지수의 일별수익률은 분산의 변화 그리고 평균 및 분산의 동시변화가 1997년 9월 27일에 발생하였다. 자기회귀모형에 의할 때 증권시장의 구조변화는 1999년 11월 16일에 이루어졌다. 평균과 분산의 변화가 일어나 구조변화의 단계를 시작하고 구조변화에 알맞는 환경조성에 2년이 소요된 후에 1999년 11월 16일에 구조변화가 정착되었다. 정착이 이루어진 후에야 비로서 이 두 기간은 서로 다른 경제구조와 증권시장구조가 이루어지고 이에 입각하여 시장의 새로운 운동법칙이 전개되고 있다고 할 수 있을 것이다.

A Debate of Fan-Jin(范鎭) and Sima-Guang(司馬光) about Le(樂) and Lu(律) (범진과 사마광의 악(樂)·율(律) 논쟁)

  • Le 樂 is important in Politics of the Kings. It is the same in Nothern Song period(北宋). There was an argument about Le 樂 and Lu 律 in Nothern Song Period. Those who argued were Fan-Jin(范鎭) and Sima-Guang(司馬光). They argued for 30 years. Fan-Jin insists that a standard of weights and measures is Lu and a standard of Lu is the fundamental tone of twelvenotes scale, Hwang-Jong 黃鍾. On the other hand, Sima-Guang insists that a standard of Lu is weights and measures and a standard of Le is Equilibrium and Harmony, Zonghe 中和. Fan-Jin thinks it is possible to restore a Sage King's music through the right standard of Lu. But Sima-Guang thinks it is impossible. Sima-Guang believes that the only way to restore a Sage King's music is to complete Zonghe. And Fan-Jin thinks Zonghe is the work of the king whereas Sima-Guang thinks Zonghe is the order of man and everything. The key point in the argument is Lu and Zonghe. Fan-Jin regards Lu as the basis of music, whereas Sima-Guang regards Zonghe as the basis of music. Lu is a tangible law and Zonghe is a intangible law. Although the argument between the two ended in a stalemate, the argument shows the difference between the scholars at the time.

Identification of a Natural Hybrid between the Striped Spine Loach Cobitis tetralineata and the King Spine Loach Iksookimia longicorpa by Analyzing Mitochondrial COI and Nuclear RAG1 Sequences (미토콘드리아 COI와 핵 RAG1 유전자 분석에 의한 줄종개(Cobitis tetralineata)와 왕종개(Iksookimia longicorpa) 간 자연잡종 동정)

  • A natural hybrid between the striped spine loach Cobitis tetralineata and the king spine loach Iksookimia longicorpa was genetically identified by sequence analyses of nuclear recombination activating gene 1 (RAG1) and mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase I (COI) genes. Out of 850 base positions of RAG1, a total of 23 nucleotide substitutions were detected between the two parental species, whereas the electropherogram of the natural hybrid displayed double peaks at all of the 23 positions, which reflects their simple Mendelian inheritance pattern. Meanwhile, comparison of partial sequences of mitochondrial genes (COI in this study), which are well characterized by the maternal inheritance pattern, revealed that the maternal species of the hybrid was C. tetralineata because of their 100% sequence identity.

  • The wavelength of chlorophyll-b on the absorbance and fluorescence emission were shifted to the longer depending on the increasing of solvent polarities but fluorescence excitation spectra were not. The presence of chl-b oligomers and monomers were identified by the specra of fluorescence emission. Fluorescence excitation, absorbance and the measurement of its intensities vs. the concentration of n-prOH added to chl-b solution. The calibration curve of chl-b solution were not obeyed to Beer's law in the range of concentrated soln. because of the presence as the oligomers.

Naming Creation of Cultural Contents based on the Violation of Selectional Restrictions (선택제약 위반을 활용한 문화콘텐츠의 네이밍 창작)

  • The purpose of this paper is to clarify the naming creation process of cultural contents based on the violation of selectional restrictions. This is to insist that the violation of selectional restrictions should be significantly considered as a mode of story planning and title naming in the cultural contents such as 'King and the Clown' and 'Ballerina Who Loves B-Boy'. This approach of selectional restrictions is based on the insistence of Chomsky's 'Aspects of the Theory of Syntax' in 1965. His idea had proposed that violation of linguistic rules affects the acceptability in the selectional properties of words and sentences. This focuses on the naming creation of cultural contents by widening his notion between selectional restrictions and the violation of selectional restrictions.

Mythicality and Anti-mythicality of Hunminjeongeum (『훈민정음』의 신화성과 반신화성 - 도상성을 중심으로)

  • The process of creating Hunminjeongeum described in Haerye version of Hunminjeongeum shows a rule of signification by which a signifiant represents a referent. In this article, I will suggest two types, the mythical and the anti-mythical, that affect the iconic relation between signifiant and referent, and consider how they are realized in Hunminjeongeum. The mythical type is shown as Yin-Yang and the Five Elements Theory and Three Elements Theory of Heaven, Earth and Man dominating the thought of intellectuals at that time. It had became mythos, that is the object of absolute belief, by connecting with the power of King at that time. It is very metaphysical and involves a kind of grand narrative. It is also the voice from the past in time and from China in space. It is reflected in Hunminjeongeum's letter system intactly. Meanwhile, the anti-mythical type also affects the creation of Icon in Hunminjeongeum. Even if Hunminjeongeum had been created from King Sejong's project, its intention seemed to be educational and practical. That is the problem of that time, not of past time, and for common class, not for ruling class. It can be considered as logos in that it had been planned and processed at a real-life situation at that time. Some arguments between King Sejong and liege Choi, Manri about the validity of Hunminjeongeum also show that the creation of Hunminjeongeum had involved the problem of critical logos. Above all, in that referents of Icons of Hunminjeongeum are the figures of human vocal organs, we can suggest that these Icons also implied an Indexicality implying actual connection between voice and body. It can be considered as a deconstrucion of metaphysics and grand narrative that had been dominated by foresaid mythical type. Hereafter, from time when Hunminjeongeum have been widely used, mythos of metaphysics and grand narrative that had dominated Hunminjeongeum have been deconstructed and Hunminjeongeum has become to realize its potential competence of pragmatic sign system for the convenience of common people. Therefore, I expect that the cultural potentiality of Hangul today can be realized by such tendency of logos incessantly deconstructing mythos, that is one direction of mythosemiosis.

Dasan Jeong Yak-yong's Self-Healing and his View of Happiness (다산 정약용의 자기치유와 행복관)

  • This paper examines how Dasan Jeong Yak-yong developed self-healing and his perspective of happiness during the hardest point of his political and social career. Just after the death of King Jeongjo (正祖, reign. 1766-1800) the arrest and persecution of those who accepted Christian knowledge from the West began. Among them were Jeong's family members and friends. Jeong, who had learned but had not accepted Christianity as a religious belief, was exiled to Ganggin 康津 in southern Jeolla Province where he was to spend the next 18 years. The two things that helped Jeong through his exile were the Book of Changes 易經 and his commitment to the study of Confucian thought, political, and social reforms. His life-long commitment to writing and his progressive understanding of the principle of changes of the universe in the Book of Changes, represented processes of self-healing and cultivation, depriving Jeong of self-pity and enabling him to attain the highest level in self-realization. According to Jeong, there are two kinds of happiness; "secular happiness" (yeolbok 熱福) related to power and wealth, and "pure happiness" (cheongbok 淸福), a free and idyllic life. For Jeong, the latter was more valuable than the former. Jeong believed that life pursing ethical virtues only could bring authentic joy to people. Furthermore, his devotion to the issues of systematic, social reforms was out of his desire to bring the public happiness by "practical learning", silhak 實學.
