Critical systems with high reliability feature fault tolerant redundancy. Conventional analytical reliability analysis methods that use the Reliability Block Diagram do not adequately reflect characteristics of the redundancy management system and are not suitable for this applications. This paper uses Monte-Carlo method to calculate the reliability of complicated redundant systems. The method was first validated for cases with analytical solutions. Then, the tool was successfully applied to analyze reliability of the flight control systems with a voter as redundancy management system.

5-Methylthebaine was obtained by treating thebaine with n-butyllithium and methylfluorosulfonate. Hetero Diels-Alder reaction of thebaine and 5-methylthebaine with trifluoroacet aldehyde afforded 14-${\beta}$-(triflu-oro-2-hydroxyethyl)codeine (2) and 14-${\beta}$-(trifluoro-2-hydroxyethyl)-5-methylcodeinone (9). 6-${\alpha}$-OH compound (4) was obtained by employing $CeCl_2$ and $NaBH_4$. After synthesized a derivative substituted for 3-OH (5), using boron tribromied, We synthesized a new derivative that make double bond in C-7, C-8 into epoxode (6), (10). Through inspecting an influence on structure-activity and analgetic action, we are going to examine which opiold acceptor has a selectivity.

HID 램프란 High Intensity Discharge Lamps의 약어로서 고압방전램프라 하고, 대규모 공간의 조명이 필요한 공공시설, 산업시설, 상업시설 이외에 스포츠 시설 등 폭넓은 용도에 대응하고 있다. HID 램프는 부성저항 특성으로 인하여 직접 전원에 접속하기 때문에 램프 전류가 흐르게 되면 급격히 전류가 증가하여 전류의 흐름이 매우 불안하게 된다. 따라서 이것을 안정시키기 위하여 전원과 램프사이에 전류 제한장치인 안정기(Ballast)로 램프 전류를 적절하게 제어할 필요가 있다. 본 고에서는 HID 램프에 관한 열화요인과 이에 대한 수명의 관계를 중심으로 논한다.

Peroxidase from Coprinus cinereus (CiP) has attracted attention for its high specific activity and broad substrate spectrum compared with other peroxidases. In this study, the functional expression of this peroxidase was successfully achieved in the methylotrophic yeast Pichia pastoris. The expression level of CiP was increased by varying the microbial hosts and the expression promoters. Since a signal sequence, such as the alpha mating factor of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, was placed preceding the cDNA of the CiP coding gene, expressed recombinant CiP (rCiP) was secreted into the culture broth. The Mut Pichia pastoris host showed a 3-fold higher peroxidase activity, as well as 2-fold higher growth rate, compared with the $Mut^s $ Pichia pastoris host. Furthermore, the AOX1 promoter facilitated a 5-fold higher expression of rCiP than did the GAP promoter.

Nielsen and Rege-Chhawchharia called a ring R right McCoy if given nonzero polynomials f(x), g(x) over R with f(x)g(x) = 0, there exists a nonzero element r ${\in}$ R with f(x)r = 0. Hong et al. called a ring R strongly right McCoy if given nonzero polynomials f(x), g(x) over R with f(x)g(x) = 0, f(x)r = 0 for some nonzero r in the right ideal of R generated by the coefficients of g(x). Subsequently, Kim et al. observed similar conditions on linear polynomials by finding nonzero r's in various kinds of one-sided ideals generated by coefficients. But almost all results obtained by Kim et al. are concerned with the case of products of linear polynomials. In this paper we examine the nonzero annihilators in the products of general polynomials.

Fuel Cell (FC) has slow response characteristic for load variation. During a load step, the inverter cannot pull more power from the fuel cell than is currently available so supplemental power must be provide by some sort of energy storage elements. In this paper, hi-directional do-dc converter for FC generation system is proposed to improve load response characteristic. The hi-directional converter interfaces the low voltage battery to the inverter dc link of FC generation system. The converter is based on a active full bridge in the primary side and on a half bridge in the secondary of a high frequency isolation transformer. The complete operating principles and simulation results in presented.

As a participant taking part in the ITER TF conductor R&D program, we developed two toroidal field conductors with variations of conduit thickness resulting in the different void fraction of the conductors. The estimated void fractions of the conductors are 31% and 33%. In this paper we present the details of the TF conductor development and performance test results of them carried out by the measurement of current sharing temperature under cyclic loading. Regarding the conductor development, the internal-Sn-processed $Nb_3Sn$ strand characteristics, strand cabling, twist pitch and characteristics of the conduit materials are presented. For the understanding of the conductor design and performance, the conductor test results are presented and the effect of the conductor design parameters such as void fraction and twist pitch is discussed based on the results.
