Refractive surgeries for myopia are rapidly spreading in our daily lives. In this study Korean and foreign follow-up studies, mainly focused on long-term outcomes of LASIK and LASEK, were analyzed. Examining the evidence of the efficacy, accuracy, stability, complications and patient satisfaction will help refine our approach to refractive surgeries.

The psychological and biochemical stress responses of healthy men and women were measured under the normal situation. Experimental subjects, who were cadets of the Korea Air Force Academy, were selected by the random sampling. Quantitative scaling of the psychological stress was obtained by life stress test(Cheon et al, 2000) and Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory(MMPI).(omitted)

A systematic study of the partial reduction of nitriles to the corresponding aldehydes with thexylbromoborane-methyl sulfide $(ThxBHBr{\cdot}SMe_2)$ under practical conditions has been carried out. The yields of aldehydes are good in the aliphatic series. However, the yields of aromatic series vary with substituents and ring itself.

Objectives: This study investigated the effect of SM-2015 on blood alcohol clearance and hangover. We undertook this study to test whether SM-2015 is effective in decreasing blood alcohol concentration and preventing the symptoms of alcohol-induced hangover. Methods: Twenty healthy volunteers participated in this randomized crossover study. All participants were classified between an SM-2015 intake group (test group) and a non-intake group (control group). The primary outcome measure was the difference in blood alcohol concentration and hangover severity scores between the test and control groups. The secondary outcome measure was the difference in a liver function test (LFT) between the test and control groups. Results: After alcohol exposure, the sensitivity scores of blood alcohol concentration and hangover symptoms (sleepiness, dizziness, nausea, weakness, stomach pain, diarrhea, and concentration disorder) were significantly decreased in the SM-2015 intake group compared with the non-intake group. There were no differences in the LFT results between the SM-2015 intake group and the non-intake group. Conclusions: SM-2015 is effective in decreasing blood alcohol concentration and preventing the symptoms of alcohol-induced hangover. Larger studies are required to confirm these findings.

Investigating the past and present literatures of west and east about pediatric constitutions and Dong-Eu-Su Se-Bo-Won $\ll$東醫壽世保元$\gg$, we obtained such conclusions : 1. In ancient literatures about pediatric constitution, physiologic and histologic characteristics are considered as pediatirc constitution. 'Pure Yang(純陽)' 'Yang is overabundant, Yin is insufficient(陽有餘陰不足)' are used for definitions of pediatric characteristics. 2. In recent literatures about pediatric constitution, adding to definitions of ancient constitution, more scientific, objective and rational criterion are intrduced. 3. In Sa-Sang(四象), limits of pediatrics is defined to children below sixteen years. 'Yu(幼)' in Dong-Eu-Su-Se-Bo-Won $\ll$東醫壽世保元$\gg$. 4. In Dong-Eu-Su-Se-Bo-Won $\ll$東醫壽世保元$\gg$, the writings about 'So-Yang-In(少陽人)' is most, those about 'So-Eum-In(少陰人)', 'Tae-Eum-In(太陰人)' and 'Tae-Yang-In(太陽人)' are in sequence. 5. In conclusion, Je-Ma Yi(李濟馬), inventor of Sa-Sang(四象), consider that pediatric constitutions are not different from those of adult.

The ITA meta-model descriptions being promoted by Korean government was developed to build information technology architecture for applications in public institutions. However, the application of this ITA meta-model is not easy because of the complexity and overlapping between classes and attributes which reside in the ITA meta-models. Additionally, the National Defense Architecture is planned for development using the MND-AF. Since the National Defense Architecture must align with the Government ITA for interoperability and consistency, it is crucial the differences in the meta-models between MND-AF and Government ITA must be resolved. This study presents the trade-off results between the meta-models of MND-AF and Government ITA. It also proposes a set of tailored meta-models for use with the National Defense architecture development. The tailored meta-models use an ERA (Element, Relationship, Attribute) data structure that decreases complexity and eliminates the overlapping between classes and attributes.
