The types of service using location Information are being various and extending it's domain as wireless internet technology is developing and it's application part is widespread, so it is prospected that LBS (Location-Based Services) will be killer application in wireless internet services. This location information is basic and high value-added information, and this information services make prior GIS (Geography Information System) to be useful to anybody. The acquisition of this location information from moving object is very important part for these LBS. After this, when LBS is familiar to everybody, we can predict that LBS system load is so heavy for the acquisition of so many subscribers and vehicles. Moving object database (MODB) system manages objects like subscribes and vehicles that are moving and have telecommunication terminal checked one's location. MODB is consists of 4 part, moving object location acquisition part, moving object location storage part, moving object query processing part, and moving object application p art. In this MODB system, acquisition of moving object location part must provide guarantee location information as well as reduce telecommunication overhead. In this paper, we study of problems in acquisition a huge number o f moving objects location and design some acquisition strategies to reduce telecommunication overhead. And after implementation these strategies, we estimate performance of this system and quality of information.

In case of one of the next generation mobile telecommunication; WCDMA service, the relevant market growth is delayed by market uncertainty, lack of effective demands, rapid evolution of technology, non-existence of business strategy, lack of distinction with competitive services and killer applications. In this study we intended to analyze the influence factors of market diffusion and marketing strategy of WCDMA. For doing so, we obtained both promotion and hindrance factors for diffusing the market of WCDMA through expert survey. Also we acquired such categories as factor for adoption, willingness to pay, killer application, preferred terminal and pronising customer, which becomes the reason ifluencing on the decision of WCDMA service marketing strategy. On the basis of such results, this paper suggests the direction of deployment for marketing focusing on the strategies as customer, price, sewice, terminal provision, and positioning of WCDMA.

Natural killer (NK) cells play have a crucial role in the early phase of immune responses against various pathogens. We compared characteristics of canine NK cells against two canine mammary carcinoma cell lines, REM134 and CF41.Mg. REM134 showed higher expression of progesterone receptor, proliferative cell nuclear antigen, Ki67, multiple drug resistance, Bmi-1, c-myc, E-cadherin, and human epidermal growth factor receptor type-2 than that of CF41.Mg. For specific expansion and activation of NK cells, we isolated CD5 negative cells from canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells and co-cultured K562 cells in the presence of interleukin (IL)-2, IL-15, and IL-21 for 21 days. As a result, we found that expression markers of activated NK cells such as NKp30, NKp44, NKp46, NKG2D, CD244, perforin, granzyme B, and tumor necrosis factor alpha were highly upregulated. In addition, we found there was upregulated production of interferon gamma of activated NK cells against target cells such as REM134 and CF41.Mg. Specifically, we observed that cytotoxicity of NK cells against target cells was more sensitively reacted to CF41.Mg than REM134. Based on the results of this study, we recommend the development of an experimental application of CF41Mg, which has not been reported in canine mammary carcinoma research.

The anti-tumor effects of exo- (EX) and endo-biopolymers (EN) produced from submerged mycelial cultures of Ganoderma applanatum (GA), Collybia confluens (CC), and Pleurotus eryngii (PE) were studied using Sarcoma 180 bearing mice. Solid tumor growth was inhibited most effectively when 40 mg/kg body weight (BW) of GA-EX or PE-EN was administered to the intraperitoneal (i.p.) cavity of BALB/c mice. The spleen and liver indexes were increased in mice following i.p. administration of GA-EX and PE-EN fractions. GA-EX and PE-EN reduced the tumor formation by 30.7% and 29.4%, respectively. GA-EX and PE-EN increased the natural killer (NK) cell activity of splenocytes by 41.3% and 28.9%, respectively.

Recently, in according as rapid improvement of telecommunication markets and wireless internet technology, Location- Based Services (LBS) have been discussed as new 'Killer' application. The purpose of LBS is to determine location of user through mobile handset and to offer location information service to end-user. This paper has suggested an efficient transmission scheme of maps data as one of the important content services relating to data transmission of LBS in mobile environment. The basic system consists of three parts : (1) GIS (Geographic Information System) Server for storing, processing and handling map data, (2) Middleware Server for transmitting of map data by request of client, and (3) Client for requesting map data to Server and displaying them on handset. Also, in order to transmit map data, we are to expand WKB (Well Known Binary) in conformance to Simple Feature Specification of OGC (Open GIS Consortium), and increase efficiency of data transmission by developing trans mission data format to be able to transmit lightweight data and considering data compression technology.

Recently, the need for LBS (Location Based Services) is increasing with the rapid growth of the location measurement units, mobile devices, and communication technologies. Especially, wireless carriers are concentrating on LBS since it is regarded as so-called 'killer application' among wireless data services. Although LBS give us convenience and useful information, its use also raises privacy issues. There are quite possibilities that the people's locations are tracked by location measurement units while people do not recognize the existence of the units. To protect a person's location information, lawful and technical aspects should be considered. In this paper, we explain issues, regulations, standards, and platforms related to the protection of the location information. Finally, we suggest the architecture of a platform complying with the regulations and standards. It considers various issues not covered in other studies.

정보통신 환경의 새로운 패러다임 변화에 대응하기 위한 기술개발, 표준화, 시험망 구축 등의 국가적 노력과, 융합 서비스를 통하여 고수익성 시장 창출을 위한 사업자들의 투자가 요구되고 있다. 그러나 새로운 수익모델 창출에 대한 어려움과 신기술 개발에 따른 투자위험, 신규 서비스에 대한 도입 타당성 및 시장성, 망 구축 비용 및 운용비 등 통신사업 전개에 대한 불확실성으로 인해 많은 부담을 안고 있는 것도 사실이다. 무엇보다도 BcN환경에서 뚜렷한 Killer application이 없다는 비관론으로 광대역통합 인프라의 불필요성에 대한 논란은 Bcn환경 구축 전개 시점에 있어 적지 않은 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 고에서는 NGN 구축의 필요성 및 이와 관련된 표준화 단체의 표준현황 및 우리나라의 잠재 성장동력인 BcN망을 통해 CDMA와 같은 새로운 신화창조를 이루려는 정부의 움직임에 발맞추어 NGN 표준화 대상기술 및 표준화 전략에 관한 것에 대해 나름대로 의견을 적어보고자 한다.

최근 이동통신 시장의 급속한 발전은 모바일 단말기를 통한 다양한 부가서비스에 대한 필요성을 증대시켰다. 특히, 친구찾기와 같은 개인의 위치추적을 위한 서비스가 새로운 Killer-application으로 인식되면서 빠른 시장성을 예측하고 있다. 이러한 서비스에 대한 기술은 일반 대중뿐만 아니라 긴급구조시스템, 재난관리시스템 등 공공 및 개인의 안전과 효율적인 자원의 관리를 위한 국가 정보 인프라로서 정보통신 기술 활용 등 사회적인 요구 증가에 부합된다. 본 연구는 무선 이동통신망을 이용하여 긴급한 환경에 처해있는 개인 가입자의 위치를 파악하고 신속히 대처 할 수 있는 무선긴급서비스를 위해 요구되는 기능 및 조건의 기술규격 설계 등에 관한 것이다. 본 논문에서는 국내외 표준을 충분히 수용한 모바일 환경에서 무선긴급서비스의 1)기술규격 범위 및 네트워크 참조 모델을 정의하고 2) 제시된 네트워크 모델의 코어 망과 긴급구조 서비스 망에 대한 기능 정의 및 요구조건에 대해 설계하고자 한다.

Telematics, one of the so-called New Growth Engine of IT839, is a leading IT service where wireless internet service represented by information and mobility is extended to the area of transportations to provide Telematics service. The killer-application of Telematics is navigation system. Recently, due to the mass storage conversion, the performance of the terminal and mobile communications technology development, navigation system is also changed. It more and more develops into 3D in a preexistence 2D map. In the future, it is expected to include the remote sensing map. There is also the characteristic of all the information expressed in frequently a change partially happening. That is, POI(Point Of Interest) which is freshly registered or is deleted is many. In a preexistence, MCP(Map Contents Providers) offer the new version map by off-line monthly or quarterly. And a user wastes time and is inconvenient because of updating the total map by the off-line. Thus, in this paper, in order to resolve this, we describe MCP-MAUS(Maus Air Update Server) interface for updating only the partial map that was changed.
