  • Since patent documents contain detailed results of research and development technologies, many studies on various patent analysis methods for effective technology analysis have been conducted. In particular, research on quantitative patent analysis by statistics and machine learning algorithms has been actively conducted recently. The most used patent data in quantitative patent analysis is technology keywords. Most of the existing methods for analyzing the keyword data were models based on the Gaussian probability distribution with random variable on real space from negative infinity to positive infinity. In this paper, we propose a model using gamma probability distribution to analyze the frequency data of patent keywords that can theoretically have values from zero to positive infinity. In addition, in order to determine the regression equation of the gamma-based regression model, two-mode network is constructed to visualize the technological association between keywords. Practical patent data is collected and analyzed for performance evaluation between the proposed method and the existing Gaussian-based analysis models.

  • This study constructs an expert search system which has a mutual cooperation function based on thesis and author profile. The proposed methodology is as follows. First, we propose weighting method which can search a keyword and the most relevant keyword. Second, we propose a method which can search the experts efficiently with this weighting method. On the preferential basis, keywords and author profiles are extracted from the papers, and experts can be searched through this method. This system will be available to many fields of social network. However, this information is distributed to many systems. We propose a method using multi-ontology to integrate distributed data. The multi-ontology is composed of meta ontology, instance ontology, location ontology and association ontology. The association ontology is constructed through analysis of keyword association dynamically. An expert network is constructed using this multi-ontology, and this expert network can search expert through association trace of keyword. The expert network can check the detail area of expertise through the research list which is provided by the system.

  • As the mobile market expands, a variety of platforms are available to provide multimodal media content. Multimodal media content contains heterogeneous data, accordingly, user requires much time and effort to select preferred content. Therefore, in this paper we propose multimodal media content classification using keyword weighting for recommendation. The proposed method extracts keyword that best represent contents through keyword weighting in text data of multimodal media contents. Based on the extracted data, genre class with subclass are generated and classify appropriate multimodal media contents. In addition, the user's preference evaluation is performed for personalized recommendation, and multimodal content is recommended based on the result of the user's content preference analysis. The performance evaluation verifies that it is superiority of recommendation results through the accuracy and satisfaction. The recommendation accuracy is 74.62% and the satisfaction rate is 69.1%, because it is recommended considering the user's favorite the keyword as well as the genre.

  • Social reviews such as SNS feeds and blog articles have been widely used to extract keywords reflecting opinions and complaints from users' perspective, and often include proper nouns or new words reflecting recent trends. In general, these words are not included in a dictionary, so conventional morphological analyzers may not detect and extract those words from the reviews properly. In addition, due to their high processing time, it is inadequate to provide analysis results in a timely manner. This paper presents a method for efficient keyword extraction from social reviews based on the notion of cohesion scoring. Cohesion scores can be calculated based on word frequencies, so keyword extraction can be performed without a dictionary when using it. On the other hand, their accuracy can be degraded when input data with poor spacing is given. Regarding this, an algorithm is presented which improves the existing cohesion scoring mechanism using the structure of a word tree. Our experiment results show that it took only 0.008 seconds to extract keywords from 1,000 reviews in the proposed method while resulting in 15.5% error ratio which is better than the existing morphological analyzers.
