게임의 영화화 각색방법에 대한 고찰 : 앵그리버드를 중심으로 (The Analysis on Adaption Method from Game to Film : Case on Angry Bird)

  • 2016년 7000만 달러를 투자해 스마트폰 기반 캐주얼 게임을 각색한 3D 애니메이션 영화 <앵그리버드>가 상영된 후 전 세계적으로 누적 흥행 수입 5.14억 달러를 초과하는 등 큰 성공을 이루었다. 게임을 각색한 영화에서 입소문과 흥행 성적이 모두 좋았던 성공 사례는 매우 드물다. 구체적인 이야기 줄거리, 캐릭터 그리고 세계관이 없는 스마트폰 기반 캐쥬얼 게임을 어떻게 대중들의 사랑을 한 몸에 받는 상업 영화로 각색할 수 있었는지가 본 연구 목적이다. 본 연구는 먼저 스마트폰 기반 캐쥬얼 게임 <앵그리 버드>와 대형 온라인 게임 <와우>에 대해 비교를 진행하여 각색함에 있어서 장단점을 비교하고자 한다. 다음 <앵그리 버드>의 게임과 영화를 비교하여 두 매체 속에 존재하는 핵심요인 간 차이를 분석하고 설문조사를 통한 관객 평가 결과를 참조하여 가장 관객들의 인정을 받는 영화의 요소와 이런 종류의 영화에 대한 관객의 태도는 어떠한지를 알아보고자 한다.

SEED암호에서 S-함수에 대한 고찰 (A Study on S-Function in SEED Cryptosystem)

  • 국내 블록암호표준(안)으로는 SEED암호가 있다. 이 암호는 한국정보보호진흥원(KISA)이 1998년 10월에 초안을 설계하고 같은 해 12월에 공개검증과정을 거쳐 안전성과 성능이 개선된 최종 수정안을 발표하였다. DES와는 달리 128비트 블록암호로서 여러 과정을 거쳐 2005년에 국제표준으로 확정되었다. DES와 같은 페이스텔 구조를 가진 블록암호로서 다만 입력비트블록이 DES의 두 배인 128비트로 늘어났다는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 첫째, SEED 암호의 일반적인 알고리즘을 소개하고 F-함수에서 적용되는 열쇠 값의 생성원리를 수학적으로 분석해 보았다. 둘째, S-함수의 8비트 입력 값에 대응되는 원시원소 ${\alpha}$ 의 멱승 값을 계산하는 표를 도출해 보았으며 마지막으로 G-함수 내에 설계되어져 있는 S-함수의 계산 원리를 수학적인 방법으로 새로운 정리와 예제를 통해 분석해 보는 것으로 한정하였다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 현재 알려져 있는 SEED암호의 취약점을 보완할 수 있는 새로운 암호체계를 개발하는데 필요한 아이디어와 이론적인 근거를 제공하는 데 어느 정도 도움이 되고자 한다.

Making Southeast Asia Visible: Restoring the Region to Global History

  • Students of global development are often introduced to Southeast Asia by reading many of the influential authors whose ideas were derived from their experiences in the region. John Furnivall, Clifford Geertz, Benedict Anderson and James Scott have made Southeast Asia relevant to comprehending developments far beyond the region. It might even be added that others come to the region because it has also been the home to many key historical events and seminal social developments. However, when many of the best-known writings (and textbooks) of global history are examined, treatment of Southeast Asia is often scarce and in the worst cases non-existent. It is within this context that this paper will examine Southeast Asia's role in the interpretation of global history. The paper will consider the 'global history' as a historical production in order to depict the ways in which the construction of global narratives can be a reflection of the immediate needs of historians. Furthermore, the discussion will be historiographic, exhibiting the manner in which key global histories portrayed the significance of the region. Particular importance will be placed on the ways in which the region is used to present larger historical trajectories. Additionally, the paper will consider instances when Southeast Asia is either profoundly underrepresented in global narratives or misrepresented by global historians. Last, since the discussion will probe the nature of 'global history', it will also consider what the subject might look like from a Southeast Asian point of view. The paper will end by exploring the ways in which the region's history might be augmented to become visible to those who live outside or have little knowledge about it. Visual augmented reality offers great potential in many areas of education, training and heritage preservation. To draw upon augmented reality as a basic metaphor for enquiry (and methodology) means asking a different kind of question: how can a region be "augmented" to become (at least in this case) more prominent. That is, how can the region's nations, histories and cultures become augmented so that they can become the center of historical global narratives in their own right. Or, to put this in more familiar terms, how can the "autonomous voices" associated with the region make themselves heard?

Taking Expedience Seriously: Reinterpreting Furnivall's Southeast Asia

  • Defining key characteristics of Southeast Asia requires historical interpretation. Southeast Asia is a diverse and complicated region, but some of modern history's "grand narratives" serve to unify its historical experience. At a minimum, the modern history of the region involves decisive encounters with universal religions, the rise of Western colonialism, the experience of world wars, decolonization, and the end of the "cycle of violence". The ability of the region's peoples to adapt to these many challenges and successfully build new nations is a defining feature of Southeast Asia's place in the global stage. This paper will begin with a question: is it possible to develop a hermeneutic of "expedience" as a way to interpret the region's history? That is, rather than regard the region from a purely Western, nationalist, "internalist" point of view, it would be useful to identify a new series of interpretative contexts from which to begin scholarly analysis. In order to contextualize this discussion, the paper will draw upon the writings of figures who explored the region before knowledge about it was shaped by purely colonist or nationalist enterprises. To this end, particular attention will be devoted to exploring some of John Furnivall's ways of conceptualizing Southeast Asia. Investigating Furnivall, a critic of colonialism, will be done in relation to his historical situation. Because Furnivall's ideas have played a pivotal role in the interpretation of Southeast Asia, the paper will highlight the intellectual history of the region in order to ascertain the value of these concepts for subsequent historical interpretation. Ultimately, the task of interpreting the region's history requires a framework which will move beyond the essentializing orientalist categories produced by colonial scholarship and the reactionary nation-building narratives which followed. Instead, by beginning with a mode of historical interpretation that focuses on the many realities of expedience which have been necessary for the region's peoples, it may be possible to write a history which highlights the extraordinarily adaptive quality of Southeast Asia's populations, cultures, and nations. To tell this story, which would at once highlight key characteristics of the region while showing how they developed through historical encounters, would go a long way to capturing Southeast Asia's contribution's to global development.

초등 과학 영재 학생들의 자연선택 개념 이해를 위한 논변 활동에서 나타난 인식적 이해와 논변활동 수준 분석 (Analysis of Epistemic Considerations and Scientific Argumentation Level in Argumentation to Conceptualize the Concept of Natural Selection of Science-Gifted Elementary Students)

  • 이 연구에서는 초등 과학 영재 학생들을 대상으로 자연선택 핵심개념 논변 활동 담화에서 드러난 인식적 이해와 논변활동 수준을 분석하였다. 논변활동에 참여한 학생들은 광역시 소재 영재교육원 6학년 학생 20명이었는데, 그 중 적극적으로 논변활동에 참여한 소집단 중 담화에서 인식적 이해가 드러나며, 개념에 따라 소집단 구성원의 인식적 이해 수준이 서로 달랐던 세 명으로 구성된 소집단을 목적표집하여 그들의 담화를 분석하였다. 담화에서 드러난 인식적 이해의 요소는 본성, 일반성, 정당화, 청중의 범주로 나누어 분석하였으며 논변활동 수준은 논변의 구성과 비평을 중심으로 내재적 인지 부하에 따라 만들어진 논변활동 학습발달과정을 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 학생들의 논변활동에서 드러난 인식적 이해는 자연선택 하위 개념별로 다르게 나타났다. 자연 선택 하위 개념 모두 실천적 인식적 이해의 본성 측면에서는 모두 높게 나타났으나 일반성, 정당화, 청중 범주에서는 높거나 낮았으며, 그 수준이 담화에서 드러나지 않는 경우도 있었다. 지식의 일반성 측면에서 높게 드러난 변이의 유전개념에서 획득형질의 유전에 반대하는 다양한 현상과의 연결은 다양한 아이디어를 생성하여 논변활동 참여를 촉진하는 요소로 활용되어 세 학생 모두 논변활동 수준은 비판 제시 수준으로 나타났다. 하지만, 정당화와 청중 범주에서 실천적 인식적 이해 수준이 낮게 드러난 개념들의 학생의 논변 활동 수준은 그 보다 낮았다. 학생들이 최종 자연선택 핵심 개념인 종분화 개념 논변 시 모두 인식적 이해 수준이 높았던 개념들을 이용하여 종분화 과정을 설명하려 하였으며, 반대로 인식적 이해 수준이 낮았던 개념은 설명 요소로 포함시키지 않았다. 이 연구결과 학생들은 다양한 인식론적 자원을 통해 맥락에 따라 활용되는 인식론적 자원은 다르며 학생들이 왜, 어떻게 인식론적 결정을 하는지에 대한 구체적인 요인들을 분석할 필요성을 제안한다. 인식론적 결정에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인 분석은 논변 활동의 질과 수준을 높일 수 있는 교수자의 중재 요소가 될 수 있다.

A Long-Range Touch Interface for Interaction with Smart TVs

  • A powerful interaction mechanism is one of the key elements for the success of smart TVs, which demand far more complex interactions than traditional TVs. This paper proposes a novel interface based on the famous touch interaction model but utilizes long-range bare hand tracking to emulate touch actions. To satisfy the essential requirements of high accuracy and immediate response, the proposed hand tracking algorithm adopts a fast color-based tracker but with modifications to avoid the problems inherent to those algorithms. By using online modeling and motion information, the sensitivity to the environment can be greatly decreased. Furthermore, several ideas to solve the problems often encountered by users interacting with smart TVs are proposed, resulting in a very robust hand tracking algorithm that works superbly, even for users with sleeveless clothing. In addition, the proposed algorithm runs at a very high speed of 82.73 Hz. The proposed interface is confirmed to comfortably support most touch operations, such as clicks, swipes, and drags, at a distance of three meters, which makes the proposed interface a good candidate for interaction with smart TVs.

제어시뮬레이션을 위한 생산시스템 로그데이터 기반 플랜트 모델 생성 방법 (A Method for Generating a Plant Model Based on Log Data for Control Level Simulation)

  • Presented in the paper is a log data based modeling method for effective construction of a virtual plant model which can be used for the virtual PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) simulation. For the PLC simulation, the corresponding virtual plant, consisting of virtual devices, is required to interact with the input and output symbols of a PLC. In other words, the behavior of a virtual device should be the same as that of the real device. Conventionally, the DEVS (Discrete Event Systems Specifications) formalism has been used to represent the behavior a virtual device. The modeling using DEVS formalism, however, requires in-depth knowledge in the simulation area, as well as the significant amount of time and efforts. One of the key ideas of the proposed method is to generate a plant model based on the log data obtained from the production system. The proposed method is very intuitive, and it can be used to generate the full behavior model of a virtual device. The proposed approach was applied to an AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle).

An Integrated System of Quality, Food Safety, Environment, Health, and Safety for Small Agricultural Companies

  • Objective: The objective of this study is to analyze standards of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, KOSHA 18001, GAP and ISO 22000 to make an integrated system and check whether an integrated system can be used at small size companies. Background: There are many certification criteria for quality, safety and health such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, KOSHA 18001, GAP and ISO 22000. However, these criteria are difficult and complicated to be used at a small size company. Thus. it is not easy for small size companies to obtain certifications using these criteria. But customers and workers of small size companies want the key points of these systems to be implemented. Method: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, KOSHA 18001, GAP and ISO 22000 were analyzed to find the commonality and duplications as well as the importance of the items in these standards. And a survey was conducted to check whether certain aspects of the anticipated integrated system can be implemented at small size companies. Results: Items were classified into categories based upon the importance to food safety, quality, safety, environment, and health. Items which are common among standards were also identified and thus give ideas to make the new standards simpler than the currently available standards. Items which were important but may not be easily implemented at the small size companies were also identified. Conclusion: By considering the fact that the currently used accreditation standards have many similar aspects, these systems can be integrated into one new system which small size companies can use relatively easily.

A User-centered Classification Framework for Digital Service Innovation : Case for Elderly Care Service

  • Digital technology has been changing everyday life of ordinary people let alone the structure of world industry. The elderly care service is also going through changes influenced by the unavoidable impact from torrents of digital technologies. There are numerous reports and news about the digital technologies increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of care service yet lacking systematic understanding of the sources of such improvement. This study aims to present a new classification framework for digital elderly care service innovation to fully utilize the power of digital technologies drawing on insights from innovation studies and service studies. First, 4 features of digital technologies are identified as sources of new value in service innovation. The co-creation of value by users and producers in service and technology development is discussed to illuminate users' contributions to service innovation. Communication of needs and ideas with producers and application of new technologies into everyday practice of life are identified as the source of new value which can be attributed to the elderly. Customization along with efficiency gains is the key to digital elderly care service innovation. The classification framework, thus, incorporates the needs of the elderly as one axis of criteria in the conventional technology-centered framework. The new classification framework would help give due weight to user-driven or demand-driven innovation in the elderly care service R&D activities.

전략적 중요도를 고려한 연관규칙의 발견: WARM (Association Rule Discovery Considering Strategic Importance: WARM)

  • 본 논문은 가중치를 고려한 연관규칙탐사 알고리즘(WARM)을 제시한다. 각 전략적 요소항목에 가중치를 부여하는 것과, 각 전략요소 항목별로 원시 자료값을 정규화하는 것이 이 논문에서 제시하는 알고리즘의 중요한 내용을 구성하고 있다. 본 논문은 TSAA 알고리즘을 확장 발전 시킨 연구로서 전략적 중요도를 반영하는 항목으로는 각 품목의 이익기여도, 마케팅 가치, 고객만족도 등을 사용하였다. 한 대형할인점의 실제 거래자료를 사용하여 알고리즘의 성능을 검사하였으며, Apriori, TSAA 및 WARM의 세 가지 알고리즘을 사용한 탐사결과를 비교 분석하였다. 분석의 결과 세 가지 알고리즘은 연관분석 행태에 있어서 각각 독특한 탐사행태를 보이는 것으로 나타났다.
