REGULARIZED SOLUTION TO THE FREDHOLM INTEGRAL EQUATION OF THE FIRST KIND WITH NOISY DATA

  • In this paper, we use a modified Tikhonov regularization method to solve the Fredholm integral equation of the first kind. Under the assumption that measured data are contaminated with deterministic errors, we give two error estimates. The convergence rates can be obtained under the suitable choices of regularization parameters and the number of measured points. Some numerical experiments show that the proposed method is effective and stable.

  • 최근의 내장형(embedded) 실시간 운영체제들은 응용 분야에 따라 다양하게 개발되고 있다. 이러한 운영체제들의 중요한 차이점은 시간적인 제한 사항을 제어할 수 있는 타스크 스케줄링 기능과 다양한 환경에서 사용할 수 있는 장치들의 개발에 있다. 본 연구에서는 우선순위 기반의 선점(preemption) 메커니즘을 지원하는 $\mu$C/OS-II버전 2.03에서 동일 우선 순위를 가진 다중 태스크들을 관리하기 위한 시분할 방식의 Round/Robin(R/R) 타스크 스케줄링 기능을 추가하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 $\mu$C/OS-II의 커널 구조에서 가장 중요한 이베트 대기 리스트 구조를 제안하고, 제안된 구조에 대해 동일 우선순위를 가지는 다중 타스크의 실행 결과를 제시한다.

  • This paper describes a program which learns good strategies for two-poison, deterministic, zero-sum board games of perfect information. The program learns by simply playing the game against either a human or computer opponent. The results of the program's teaming of a lot of games are reported. The program consists of search kernel and a move generator module. Only the move generator is modified to reflect the rules of the game to be played. The kernel uses a temporal difference procedure combined with a backpropagation neural network to team good evaluation functions for the game being played. Central to the performance of the program is the search procedure. This is a the capture tree search used in most successful janggi playing programs. It is based on the idea of using search to correct errors in evaluations of positions. This procedure is described, analyzed, tested, and implemented in the game-teaming program. Both the test results and the performance of the program confirm the results of the analysis which indicate that search improves game playing performance for sufficiently accurate evaluation functions.

Concrete fragmentation modeling using coupled finite element - meshfree formulations

  • Meshfree methods are known to have the capability to overcome the strict regularization requirements and numerical instabilities that encumber the finite element method (FEM) in large deformation problems. They are also more naturally suited for problems involving material perforation and fragmentation. To take advantage of the high efficiency of FEM and high accuracy of meshfree methods, a coupled finite element (FE) and reproducing kernel (RK, one of the meshfree approximations) formulation is described in this paper. The coupling of FE and RK approximation is implemented in an evolutionary fashion, where the extent and location of the evolution is dependent on a triggering criteria provided by the material constitutive laws. To enhance computational efficiency, Gauss quadrature is applied to integrate both FE and RK domains so that no state variable transfer is required when mesh conversion is performed. To control the hourglassing that might occur with 1-point integrated hexahedral grids, viscous type hourglass control is implemented. Meanwhile, the FEM version of the K&C concrete (KCC) model was modified to make it applicable in both FE and RK formulations. Results using this code and the KCC model are shown for the modeling of concrete responses under quasi-static, blast and impact loadings. These analyses demonstrate that fragmentation phenomena of the sort commonly observed under blast and impact loadings of concrete structures was able to be realistically captured by the coupled formulation.

A Novel Image Segmentation Method Based on Improved Intuitionistic Fuzzy C-Means Clustering Algorithm

  • Segmentation plays an important role in the field of image processing and computer vision. Intuitionistic fuzzy C-means (IFCM) clustering algorithm emerged as an effective technique for image segmentation in recent years. However, standard fuzzy C-means (FCM) and IFCM algorithms are sensitive to noise and initial cluster centers, and they ignore the spatial relationship of pixels. In view of these shortcomings, an improved algorithm based on IFCM is proposed in this paper. Firstly, we propose a modified non-membership function to generate intuitionistic fuzzy set and a method of determining initial clustering centers based on grayscale features, they highlight the effect of uncertainty in intuitionistic fuzzy set and improve the robustness to noise. Secondly, an improved nonlinear kernel function is proposed to map data into kernel space to measure the distance between data and the cluster centers more accurately. Thirdly, the local spatial-gray information measure is introduced, which considers membership degree, gray features and spatial position information at the same time. Finally, we propose a new measure of intuitionistic fuzzy entropy, it takes into account fuzziness and intuition of intuitionistic fuzzy set. The experimental results show that compared with other IFCM based algorithms, the proposed algorithm has better segmentation and clustering performance.

  • 라이브 포렌식은 하드디스크 파일시스템 분석으로 획득할 수 없는 메모리 내의 활성 데이터를 얻을 수 있다는 장점으로 인해 최근의 포렌식 조사 시 활용되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 라이브 포렌식은 활성 시스템에서 시스템 정보를 획득하기 위한 명령어 기반의 도구를 사용함으로써, 악성코드에 의한 변조된 결과 획득 및 재분석이 용이하지 못한 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 시스템 조사 도구를 이용한 라이브 포렌식의 단점을 보완하기 위한 윈도우즈커널 객체 구조 설명 및 분석 방법을 설명한다. 또한, 이를 활용하기 위한 도구를 설계 및 구현하였고, 실험 결과를 통해 그 효과를 입증한다.

uC/OS-II 실시간 커널의 가상화를 위한 하이퍼바이저 구현 (Implementation of Hypervisor for Virtualizing uC/OS-II Real Time Kernel)

  • 본 논문은 uC/OS-II 실시간 커널이 관리하는 주 자원인 마이크로프로세서와 메모리를 가상화하여 하나의 마이크로프로세서 상에서 다수의 uC/OS-II 실시간 커널을 수행시키는 하이퍼바이저를 구현하였다. 마이크로프로세서는 uC/OS-II 실시간 커널이 처리하는 인터럽트들을 제어하는 알고리즘을 적용하여 가상화하고 메모리는 물리적 메모리를 파티션하는 방식을 사용하여 가상화한다. 개발된 하이퍼바이저 프로그램은 타이머 인터럽트와 소프트웨어 인터럽트를 가상화하는 인터럽트 제어 루틴들, 하이퍼바이저와 각 커널을 정상 수행 상태까지 유도하는 코드, 그리고 가상화된 두 커널 사이에 데이터 전달을 제공하는 API로 구성되어 있다. 기존의 uC/OS-II 실시간 커널은 개발한 하이퍼바이저 상에서 수행되기 위하여 소스 코드 레벨에서 수정이 필요하다. 구현된 하이퍼바이저는 Jupiter 32비트 EISC 마이크로프로세서 상에서 실시간 동작 시험 및 독립 수행 환경 시험을 거친 결과 가상화 커널이 정상적으로 수행되는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다수의 내장형 마이크로프로세서가 요구되는 응용 분야에 활용될 경우 하드웨어 가격 절감효과를 얻을 수 있으며 내장형 시스템의 부피, 무게 및 전력 소비량을 줄이는 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

Relationships between dielectric properties and characteristics of impregnated and activated samples of potassium carbonate-and sodium hydroxide-modified palm kernel shell for microwave- assisted activation

  • The aim of this work was to evaluate the dielectric properties of impregnated and activated palm kernel shells (PKSs) samples using two activating agents, potassium carbonate ($K_2CO_3$) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH), at three impregnation ratios. The materials were characterized by moisture content, carbon content, ash content, thermal profile and functional groups. The dielectric properties were examined using an open-ended coaxial probe method at various microwave frequencies (1-6 GHz) and temperatures (25, 35, and $45^{\circ}C$). The results show that the dielectric properties varied with frequency, temperature, moisture content, carbon content and mass ratio of the ionic solids. PKSK1.75 (PKS impregnated with $K_2CO_3$ at a mass ratio of 1.75) and PKSN1.5 (PKS impregnated with NaOH at a mass ratio of 1.5) exhibited a high loss tangent ($tan{\delta}$) indicating the effectiveness of these materials to be heated by microwaves. $K_2CO_3$ and NaOH can act as a microwave absorber to enhance the efficiency of microwave heating for low loss PKSs. Materials with a high moisture content exhibit a high loss tangent but low penetration depth. The interplay of multiple operating frequencies is suggested to promote better microwave heating by considering the changes in the materials characteristics.

상용 디지털 TV를 위한 임베디드 리눅스 시스템 (Embedded Linux for Commercial Digital TV System)

  • 아날로그 TV에 비해 새로운 방식의 디지털 TV는 단순한 영상과 음성의 처리뿐만 아니라, 데이터를 처리 및 저장해야 한다. 그리고 필요에 따라 데이터를 요구하기 위한 리턴 채널을 관리해야 한다. 이처럼 많은 기능을 동시에 충족시켜줘야 하기 때문에 디지털 TV시스템에서는 운영체제가 필요하다. 임베디드 리눅스는 오픈 소스로서 가격 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있으며, 공개된 장치 드라이버와 응용프로그램을 재사용 가능하며, 오픈 소스 공동체를 통해 문제를 쉽게 해결할 수 있고, 쉘, 파일 시스템을 이용하여 편리한 개발 환경을 제공해 주는 이점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 TV 시스템을 위한 임베디드 리눅스를 이식하기 위해 교차 개발 환경과 커널을 빅 엔디언으로 변경하였고, 커널 구동에 필수적인 장치들을 재설계하였으며, 커널을 메모리에 적재할 수 있도록 시스템 메모리 맵을 재설정하였다. 또한 시스템 장치제어를 위한 디바이스 드라이버를 작성하였다.

Reliability of Coronary Artery Calcium Severity Assessment on Non-Electrocardiogram-Gated CT: A Meta-Analysis

  • Objective: The purpose of this meta-analysis was to investigate the pooled agreements of the coronary artery calcium (CAC) severities assessed by electrocardiogram (ECG)-gated and non-ECG-gated CT and evaluate the impact of the scan parameters. Materials and Methods: PubMed, EMBASE, and the Cochrane library were systematically searched. A modified Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies-2 tool was used to evaluate the quality of the studies. Meta-analytic methods were utilized to determine the pooled weighted bias, limits of agreement (LOA), and the correlation coefficient of the CAC scores or the weighted kappa for the categorization of the CAC severities detected by the two modalities. The heterogeneity among the studies was also assessed. Subgroup analyses were performed based on factors that could affect the measurement of the CAC score and severity: slice thickness, reconstruction kernel, and radiation dose for non-ECG-gated CT. Results: A total of 4000 patients from 16 studies were included. The pooled bias was 62.60, 95% LOA were -36.19 to 161.40, and the pooled correlation coefficient was 0.94 (95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.89-0.97) for the CAC score. The pooled weighted kappa of the CAC severity was 0.85 (95% CI = 0.79-0.91). Heterogeneity was observed in the studies (I2 > 50%, p < 0.1). In the subgroup analysis, the agreement between the CAC categorizations was better when the two CT examinations had reconstructions based on the same slice thickness and kernel. Conclusion: The pooled agreement of the CAC severities assessed by the ECG-gated and non-ECG-gated CT was excellent; however, it was significantly affected by scan parameters, such as slice thickness and the reconstruction kernel.
