  • The properties of the residuals are investigated when K-consecutive observations are interpolated. The central limit theorem is also proved for the LSE for autoregressive parameters when $\kappa4--consecutive observations are contaminated. The performance of the interpolated LSE in small samples is investigated by simulation. And the interpolated with the Yule-Walker type estimator.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and the reliability of the WISCI II to ascertain its value in the walking function evaluation of spinal cord injury patient. The WISCI II consists of 20 variables with a total valus ranging from 6 to 20 score. A group of 23 spinal cord injury patient were included in this study. To determine the validity, kappa statistics between the WISCI II and SCIM II were measured. The result of this study are as follows: 1) In the validity study, the kappa statistics between the WISCI II and SCIM II were 0.79 and 0.84 for an initial total score and a discharge total score respectively, indicating a reasonable agreement between the two test. 2) In the reliability study, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.83 and 0.95 for total score indicating a good internal consistency. The finding suggest that the WISCI II demonstrated an acceptable validity and reliabilit for the evaluation of walking function capacity of spinal cord injury patient in clinical practice.

  • Objective: The aim was to assess the intraobserver and interobserver reliabilities of temporomandibular joint linear measurements and condylar shape classifications performed with cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Methods: CBCT images of 30 patients were measured at two different time points by two orthodontists using the Dolphin 3D program (n = 60). Anterior, posterior, and superior joint space measurements and sagittal joint morphology classification in the sagittal view and medial and lateral joint space and mediolateral width measurements and coronal joint morphology classification in the coronal view were recorded. Intraclass-interclass correlation coefficients (ICC) and kappa statistics were used to assess intraobserver and interobserver reliability for the measurements and morphology classifications, respectively. Results: The ICC values were good for measurements of the posterior joint space by observer I and for measurements of the posterior, medial, and lateral joint spaces by observer II, while the other intraobserver measurements were excellent. Only the mediolateral width measurements showed excellent interobserver ICC values, while the other measurements showed good interobserver ICC values. Intraobserver agreement for the sagittal morphology classifications was moderate (${\kappa}=0.479$) and almost perfect (${\kappa}=0.858$) for observers I and II, respectively, while the corresponding agreement for the coronal morphology classifications was substantial for both observers. The interobserver agreement values for sagittal and coronal morphology classifications were slight (${\kappa}=0.181$) and fair (${\kappa}=0.265$), respectively. Conclusions: Linear temporomandibular joint measurements were reproducible and reliable in both intraobserver and interobserver evaluations. However, interobserver agreement for assessments of condylar shape was low.

  • Many statistics, such as Cohen's (1960) ${\kappa}$, Scott's (1955) ${\pi}$, and Park and Park's (2007) H have been proposed as measures of agreement to represent inter-rater reliability. This study compared bias, SE, MSE, and CV of the measures of agreement with nominal and ordinal categories in the balanced marginal distributions, and those with nominal categories in the two paradoxical situations. As a result, in all cases, AC1and Hhad smaller SE and CV.

  • On the analogy of total countable compactness, we study interesting subfamilies in the class of pseudocompact spaces. We show relationships between totally pseudocompact spaces, sequentially pseudocompact spaces, and DFCC spaces. We also prove relationships among densely ${\xi}$-pseudocompact, ${\xi}$-pseudocompact, and countably pracompact spaces. As a productive result on countably pracompact spaces, we will prove that if X is a countably pracompact space and Y is a countably pracompact ${\kappa}$-space, then $X{\times}Y$ is count ably pracompact.

  • The rate of convergence for an almost surely convergent series $S_n={\Sigma^n}_{i-1}X_i$ of independent random variables is studied in this paper. More specifically, when S$_{n}$ converges almost surely to a random variable S, the tail series $T_n{\equiv}$ S - S_{n-1} = {\Sigma^\infty}_{i-n} X_i$ is a well-defined sequence of random variables with T$_{n}$ $\rightarrow$ 0 almost surely. Conditions are provided so that for a given positive sequence {$b_n, n {\geq$ 1}, the limit law sup$_{\kappa}\geqn | T_{\kappa}|/b_n \rightarrow$ 0 holds. This result generalizes a result of Nam and Rosalsky [4].

  • Motivated mainly by certain interesting recent extensions of the generalized hypergeometric function [Integral Transforms Spec. Funct. 23 (2012), 659-683] by means of the incomplete Pochhammer symbols $({\lambda};{\kappa})_{\nu}$ and $[{\lambda};{\kappa}]_{\nu}$, we first introduce incomplete Fox-Wright function. We then define the families of incomplete extended Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta function. We then systematically investigate several interesting properties of these incomplete extended Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta function which include various integral representations, summation formula, fractional derivative formula. We also consider an application to probability distributions and some special cases of our main results.

  • The problem of estimating the parameters of k-population Weibull distributions is discussed under the prior of ordered scale parameters. Parameters are estimated by the Gibbs sampling method. Since the conditional posterior distribution of the shape parameter in the Gibbs sampler is not log-concave, the shape parameter is generated by the adaptive rejection sampling. Finally, we applied this estimation methodology to the data discussed in Nelson (1970).

  • Objectives: Carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) and the presence of carotid artery plaque are widely used as preclinical markers of atherosclerosis. Due to operator dependency in measuring CIMT, it is important to evaluate the reliability of measuring CIMT and plaque between centers in a multicenter study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the inter-rater reliability of CIMT and plaque presence among three clinical centers of the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease Etiology Research Center (CMERC). Methods: Twenty people without known cardiovascular disease (age 37-64) were enrolled during 2014-2015, and their left and right carotid arteries were examined repeatedly with ultrasonography for CIMT measurements at three clinical centers according to a predetermined protocol. Maximum and mean values of CIMT at distal common carotid artery were recorded. Plaque presence at a carotid artery was checked by an operator. The reliability of CIMT and carotid plaque presence was assessed using an intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and kappa statistics, respectively. Results: Calculated ICC was 0.647 (95% CI: 0.487-0.779) for maximum CIMT, and 0.758 (95% CI: 0.632- 0.854) for mean CIMT. In Bland Altman plot, most observed values were distributed within mean difference ${\pm}1.96$ SD ranges. Kappa statistics of plaque presence between two centers were 0.304 (center 1 and 2), 0.507 (center 1 and 3), and 0.606 (center 2 and 3), respectively, while Fleiss kappa for overall agreement was 0.445. Conclusions: The inter-rater reliability of CIMT measurements among three clinical centers turned out to be high, and the agreement of measuring carotid plaque presence was fair.

  • Objectives we intended to know how much did it relate with the results between the instruments of diagnosis by using methods of three factors - QSCCII, PSSC(Phonetic System for Sasang Constitution)-2004, and body measurement which are usually used in diagnosing the Sasang Constitution in clinics Methods We diagnosed Sasang constitution through QSCCII, PSSC(Phonetic System for Sasang Constitution)-2004, Body measurement as a dignosis factors and we used Kappa coefficient to estimate simularity between diagnosis factors, and SPSS 12.0K to analyze data Results and conchusions 1. The orders of agreement statistics are different in the currency of Sasang Constitution diagnosis, Soeum-in was highest and Taeum-in lowest in the the fricency of Sasang Conctitution Diagnosis in the QSCCII, Soeum-in was highest Soyang-in lowest in the PSSC and Taeum-in highest, Soyang-in lowest in the body measurement so, we analogized incorrection in Sasang Constitution Diagnosis 2. Among 443 subjects, 156 (35.3%) had same dignosis in three Sasang Constitution factors. It means agreement statistics among factors of diagnosis are very low, so it is absolutely nessessary to research connection among those, especially Soyang-in part 3. Totally, it is not robust to apply these factors on Sasang Constitution diagnosis, especially agreement statistics between two kinds of Sasang Constitution diagnosis as $0.358{\sim}0.380$. However, we can have a possibility the more we use Sasang Constitution dignosis factors, the higher the agreement statistics is, through the ascending of agreement statistics as $0.526{\sim}0.592$, among three kinds of Sasang Constitution diagnosis To evaluate accuracy of Sasang Constitution diagnosis, it is nessessary to collect data from the subjects who are dignosed through the evidences such as herb medicine, disease and normal symption observation, etc. Using these data, we have to evaluate correction of seperated Sasang Constitution diagnosis methods and to connect those.
