감각통합치료의 역사적 고찰 (Historical Review of Sensory Integration in Korea)

  • The significant historical events and developments in the area of approach for sensory integration in Korean Society of Sensory Integration Therapists(KSSIT) are reviewed to stimulate future planning and clinical application in professional and health promotion. The paper reviewed the purposes of establishment, the role of members, progress of regular meetings and education for members and seminars in KSSIT. This review is placed within the context of the progressive period of KSSIT history, 1997-2003. Historical data are used as primary sources as records of events in KSSIT's homepage, official transcripts, professional articles, and secondary sources such as news letters for occupational therapists and oral information from first members. This review examined current actions and thinking, and suggests further actions and thinking for progressive professional education programs, research, clinical applications and public relations in sensory integration approach in KSSIT.

A Study on Introduction of the Budgetary Accounting System for Not-for-profit Organizations related to Maritime and Fisheries Sector in Korea

  • This paper aims to introduce budgetary accounting system for not-for-profit organizations related to maritime and fishery in Korea Especially, these not-for-profit organizations related to maritime and fishery should design and maintain the original accounting systems because they have some objectives and activities of organizations different to for-profit organizations. Currently, while the accounting for not-for-profit units is difficult to understand, this case study of budgetary accounting system for not-for-profit organizations related to maritime and fishery as KSSIT may be great help to them by reflecting all administrative activities of these units and offering objectively and fairly financial position and phase or operating results. This paper concentrate primarily upon this subject about double-entry accounting system to be introduced in order to improve budgetary systems of not-for-profit organizations. These units are governmental organizations as public corporations and bodies corporate and politic. Therefore, not-for-profit organizations related to maritime and fishery should be applied to regulations of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board. GASB has the authority to establish standards of financial reporting for all units of government. With conclusion, this paper reviewed a case of double-entry system for budgetary accounting, and examined a process of financial reporting in not-for-profit organizations. Through this paper, the comprehensive understanding of budgetary accounting system for not-for-profit organizations as KSSIT would be promoted.

대한 감각통합치료학회 주최 제1회 감각통합치료캠프(도전하는 아이들) 보고 (Sensory Integration Therapy Camp(the Challenging Children) Report)

  • To make up extended and intensive sensory integration program, Korean Society of Sensory Integration Therapist(KSSIT) planned and practiced sensory integration camp. Camp were held during 5 days and 7 children with sensory integrative dysfunction were participated in the camp. COPM, Sensory profile, STEP-SI and interview were used for deciding the therapy goals. For preparing the camp, therapists did seminars, discussion and get advices form specialists in US and Japan. Through the camp, as the theme, not only children and parents got the chance of challenging but also therapists challenged by themselves. For this camp KSSIT expected to build up more effective sensory integrative program and research.
