  • In This study, length variation test, shock test, and noise test were conducted to evaluate the performance of synthetic resin form. In addition, the handling easiness of synthetic resin form was examined through field application. Results of both thermal length variation test and shock test satisfied the KS standards. for noise test, the result of uro-form was 106.7dB(A) in average while that of synthetic resin form was 100.4dB(A) in average. It is considered that the high sound pressure level of euro-form with this noise characteristic may have negative physical and psychological impact on people who are consistently exposed in the residential area. Finally, there was no warping or bulging of the mold during concrete placement in the field application. Also, the concrete surface finish of synthetic resin form was better than that of euro-form.

  • Product regulations specify requirements or constraints for products that manufacturers must comply with across the entire product lifecycle, from design and manufacture, through operation and maintenance, to recycling and disposal. This paper suggests a system framework and its essential components for the verification of a pressure vessel design using the industrial standards of Korea. The authors also present methods to generate design template data from legacy design systems and to construct a regulation knowledge base. The proposed framework is demonstrated through experiments involving pressure vessel design verification using a prototype system.

  • It is very difficult to measure the performance of the machine learning model in the business service stage. Therefore, managing the performance of the model through the operational department is not done effectively. Academically, various studies have been conducted on the concept drift detection method to determine whether the model status is appropriate. The operational department wants to know quantitatively the performance of the operating model, but concept drift can only detect the state of the model in relation to the data, it cannot estimate the quantitative performance of the model. In this study, we propose a performance prediction model (PPM) that quantitatively estimates precision through the statistics of concept drift. The proposed model induces artificial drift in the sampling data extracted from the training data, measures the precision of the sampling data, creates a dataset of drift and precision, and learns it. Then, the difference between the actual precision and the predicted precision is compared through the test data to correct the error of the performance prediction model. The proposed PPM was applied to two models, a loan underwriting model and a credit card fraud detection model that can be used in real business. It was confirmed that the precision was effectively predicted.

  • The government has established a zero-energy roadmap in accordance with its 2050 carbon neutrality strategy, and from 2023 onwards, residential buildings with 30 generations or more must be constructed as zero-energy structures. In response to this, measures for energy conservation through enhanced building tightness are being developed. The LH (Land and Housing Corporation) aims to achieve the first-stage building tightness performance targets by 2022 in preparation for this. Currently, South Korea has the "KS L ISO9972 - Building Tightness - Measuring the airtightness of buildings by the fan pressurization method" as the method for measuring building tightness, which was established in 2006 and revised in 2016. In practice, the airtightness is measured using the Blower Door Test method, and it is expressed as ACH50 (the number of air changes per hour at a pressure difference of 50 Pa between the indoor and outdoor environments). This study aims to measure and analyze the airtightness of Happy Homes constructed from 2020 to 2022, categorized by building type.

  • The monitoring of urban area, target detection and building reconstruction have been actively studied and investigated since high resolution X-band SAR images could be acquired by airborne and/or satellite SAR systems. This paper describes an efficient approach to reconstruct artificial structures (e.g. apartment, building and house) in urban area using high resolution X-band SAR images. Building footprint was first extracted from 1:25,000 digital topographic map and then a corner line of building was detected by an automatic detecting algorithm. With SAR amplitude images, an initial building height was calculated by the length of layover estimated using KS-test (Kolmogorov-Smirnov test) from the corner line. The interferometric SAR phases were simulated depending on SAR geometry and changable building heights ranging from -10 m to +10 m of the initial building height. With an interferogram from real SAR data set, the simulation results were compared using the method of the phase consistency. One of results can be finally defined as the reconstructed building height. The developed algorithm was applied to repeat-pass TerraSAR-X spotlight mode data set over an apartment complex in Daejeon city, Korea. The final building heights were validated against reference heights extracted from LiDAR DSM, with an RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) of about 1~2m.

  • The existing HiPassPlusCard system is composed of the HiPassPlusCard, a Purchase SAM, a Purchase terminal, a settlement system and OBU. However, this system is confronted by the problem with its incompatibility. This problem occurred because the technology companies made cards in their own ways in respect of the parts which were not yet set by KS standard. Thus if existing HiPassPlusCard user wants to use any other public transportations, user would have to buy other cards and have to bring all them. Also if the HiPlusCard wants to extend their business to apply its technology into infrastructure of the other companies, the HiPlusCard has to construct infra independently so that it causes the such problems of duplicated investment. To solve these problems, we have analyzed and upgraded the existing HiPassPlusCard system, and we designed and developed the Nation-wide Interoperable HiPassPlusCard system. Then the conformity test demonstrated that it is efficiency-oriented and technically performs well. Also we, the HiPlusCard, the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings and the KORAIL NETWORKS, run the Test-bed in Gwangju for 6 months. The test-bed indicated that Nation-wide Interoperable HiPassCard system practically works well.

  • Although the existing X-CASH card system observes the KS standard for a transportation card system, there has been an issue for interoperability between X-CASH and other public transportation system due to the partially undefined part in the standard. This issue is followed by the inconvenience of the existing X-CASH users. If the existing X-CASH card user wants to get any other public transportations which are not interoperated with X-CASH, the user would have to buy other cards. Consequently, some users have to bring more than one card with them. In addition, it is almost impossible that the existing X-CASH system operator makes the X-CASH card available for the infrastructure built by other cards operators because their technologies are too much different. The X-CASH operator must construct its own infrastructure on the same route and it would cause an unnecessary loss of expense and labor. To solve these problems, We modified the existing X-CASH system and developed the Nation-wide Interoerable X-CASH system which lets both the existing X-CASH card and Nation-wide Interoperable X-CASH card work. This developed X-CASH system consists of the purchase SAM, the purchase terminal and the settlement. And The conformity test for it was successfully authorized. Also we, KORAIL NETWORKS, have done the test-bed on this Nation-wide interoperable X-CASH system in Gwangju for six months with Telecommunications & Clearings, the HiPlusCard Corporation. This test confirmed that the Nation-wide Interoperable X-CASH system would practically work well.
