While knowledge management (KM) needs to be introduced in order to enhance the competitiveness of Korean firms, most of the current literature focuses on defining the concept of KM and developing its framework. This research attempts to develop an introduction methodology of KM, based on four dimensions such as organization, information technology, process, and culture. The methodology was applied to firm L, which recently adopted KM. A result from the analysis of this case study shows that firm L performed well in the dimensions of organization, information technology, and culture.

Knowledge management (KM) continues to receive mounting interest within the construction industry due to its potential to offer solutions for organisations seeking competitive advantage. This paper presents a KM input-process-output conceptual model comprising unique and well-defined theoretical constructs representing KM practices and their internal and external determinants in the context of construction. The paper also presents the underlying principles used in operationally defining each construct using extant KM literature, and offers a number of testable hypotheses that capture the inter-relationships between the identified constructs.

전 세계적으로 지식경영의 중요성이 확산되는 가운데, 지식관리는 단순히 저장 및 취합하는 방식에서 벗어나 업무프로세스관리(BPM: Business Process Management)와 지식관리(KM: Knowledge Management)를 상호 연계한 지식기반 업무처리(PKMS: Process based KMS) 연구로 확대되고 있다. 특히, 업무 수행 시 다양한 지식을 사용하는 공공기관은 업무에 효과적인 지식관리 필요성이 커지고 있다. 본 논문은 공공기관 업무에 효과적인 지식관리체계를 수립하여 업무프로세스관리시스템(BPMS)와 지식관리시스템(KMS)을 통합한 지식기반 업무처리(PKMS) 시스템을 설계하였다. 이러한 설계를 위하여, 본 연구는 공공업무와 다양한 지식 유형간 상관관계를 조사하고 지식유형을 세 가지 지식그룹으로 분류하여 업무프로세스를 기반으로 한 지식그룹 간 우선순위를 고려한 지식관리체계를 시스템화하였다. 이와 같은 지식관리체계를 기반한 PKMS시스템은 BPM 생명주기와 KM 생명주기의 통합을 통하여 두 가지 패러다임의 장점을 승계하였다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 PKMS 개념을 고용보험 업무에 적용한 사례를 소개한다. 고용보험 PKMS시스템은 단위업무별로 찾아가는 지식관리 환경을 제공함으로써 업무생산성을 극대화한다. 현재 많은 공공기관에서 지식관리시스템을 도입하거나 업무시스템과 연계하는 현 시점에서, 본 연구사례는 BPMS와 KMS의 통합에 관심 있는 기관에게 사례를 바탕으로 한 시사점을 제공하였다.

Objectives: The objectives of this study are to determine both what information Korean Medicine(KM) doctors want from medical classics and how classic KM knowledge should be structured. Methods: KM doctor survey was conducted in October 2012 via E-mail to determine what information Korean Medicine doctors want to collect from a larger volume of existing classics. Specialist survey was made in October 2012 through questionnaire and 8 workshops were held between April 2012 ~ February 2013 to discuss how to reorganize classic KM knowledge. Results: With two surveys and 8 workshops, we built a conceptualization of the classic KM knowledge system for KM practice. KM doctors wanted to engage with the design of KM knowledge system informed by authentic medical classics, and hoped that more information on common disorders would be added to the table of contents of classic KM books than now. A comprehensive knowledge system was also required to maximize information sharing. Conclusions: Future KM knowledge systems need to be more comprehensive and include more information about disorders with which patients commonly consult KM doctors.

Knowledge Management (KM) has become a fundamental process for all types of institutions in society. Academic libraries are also an integral part of the knowledge system, these institutions being one of the forms that contribute to knowledge development. This study aims to find out the challenges and opportunities associated with KM practices in Dhaka University Library (DUL). The specific objectives were to ascertain the understanding of KM concepts among library professionals of DUL, to explore an overview of KM and its role, and to identify the rationale behind not practicing KM properly at DUL. Appropriate methods were employed. The findings indicate that limited expertise and lack of clear guidelines are the major challenges for the implementation of KM in DUL.

Knowledge Management (KM) is the systematic, explicit, and deliberate building, renewal, and application of knowledge to maximize an enterprise's knowledge-related effectiveness and performance from its knowledge assets. KM applies systematic approaches to find, understand, and use knowledge to create new capabilities, solve problems, enable superior performance, and encourage innovation. The purpose of this research is to identify the relationship of KM capabilities (KM infrastructures and KM processes) and organizational effectiveness and performance. An empirical research of the relationship of knowledge management capabilities and organizational effectiveness and performance is conducted from the information systems and knowledge management literature in order to access the following questions: (1) Does the knowledge management infrastructure contribute to the organizational effectiveness and peformance? (2) Does the knowledge management process contribute to the organizational effectiveness and peformance? The research design employs a mail survey questionnaire for gathering data from 500 firms in a number of industries. From a mail survey of 61 top managers of knowledge management, the results of empirical analyses provide the following major findings: (1) While the external effectiveness of organization is influenced by the cultural infrastructure of knowledge management, the overall performance of organization is influenced by the structural infrastructure of knowledge management. (2) While the external effectiveness of organization is influenced by the application and protection processes of knowledge management, the overall performance of organization is influenced by the knowledge acquisition process of knowledge management.

KSLV-I은 100 kg급의 인공위성체를 지구 저궤도에 진입시키는 국내 최초의 우주발사체이다. 이 우주발사체는 2단으로 구성되어 있으며, 고체 추진기관인 2단은 순수 국내 기술로 설계, 제작 및 인증시험을 통하여 임무를 수행하게 된다. KM의 연소관은 중량의 감소와 성능의 증대를 위하여 체결을 위한 구조체를 제외하고 복합재료를 사용하여 제작하였다. 연소관의 제작 공정인 내열재, 필라멘트 와인딩, 각종 인터페이스 체결을 위한 구조물의 조립 공정 등에 대하여 논하고자 한다.

Purpose This study exploratory investigated the effects of the fit between forms of knowledge management(KM) strategy and types of information technology(IT) capability on the kinds of innovations such as product and process innovations. In this study, the openness of innovations that affects the innovations of a firm is considered. Design/methodology/approach For this empirical study, 104 manufacturing firms' data were finally collected through field survey. For the analysis of the data, cluster analysis and multiple regression analysis were employed. Findings This study demonstrated that when a system-oriented KM strategy is adopted, IT flexibility, which supports the implementation of a system-oriented strategy, is highly employed and utilized. It was also found that under a dynamic KM strategy, both IT integration and IT flexibility are highly employed. For the innovation of a firm, it was found that when a system-oriented strategy is employed and the flexibility of IT is highly adopted, the levels of product innovation are enhanced. Under a dynamic strategy, when the degrees of IT integration and IT flexibility are high, high levels of product and process innovations were empirically found. The impact of innovation openness on the innovations of a firm were partially demonstrated. Finally, the positive impact of the innovations on the improvement of performance in manufacturing firms were demonstrated.

색분산 보상법으로 스펙트럼 반전법을 사용하여 10Gb/s 광신호의 200km 비분산천이 광섬유 전송실험을 수행하였다. 스펙트럼 반전 신호광은 분산천이 광섬유에서의 4광파 혼합 현상에 의해 발생되었다. 스펙트럼 반전 신호광의 반전효율과 신호대 잡음비는 각각 -26.7dB와 23.0dB였다. 수신감도 측정 결과 광섬유를 사용하지 않은 경우 BER $10^{-9}$에서 -28.0dBm이었고, 200km의 비분산천이 광섬유를 사용한 경우에 대해서는 -27.0dBm이었다.

The characteristics of dynamic vibration are generally analyzed by an acceleration of a car body of high speed train and the acceleration can be applied to evaluation of running safety. The test of process and the analysis method about it are well explained on UIC Code 518 OR which is the spacial international standard about running safety and dynamic behavior on the line test for railway vehicle. Korean High Speed Train designed to operate at speed 350km/h has been tested on high speed line since it was developed in 2002 and it recorded the highest speed 352.4km/h at the 16th Dec. 2004 in Korea. This paper includes the analysis of running behavior of this train at speed 350km/h and also the analysis of dynamic safety is presented in it, extending to the range of high speed while the UIC 518 limit the speed below 200km/h.
