  • An FM radio based PCL system is a passive radar technique for detecting the multiple moving targets from FM radio signals and tracking the trajectories of the targets by calculating the cross-correlation function of direct-path signal and target echo signals. However, the interference signals are received from a surveillance channel, which is designed to receive the target echo signals. Because of this problem, the target echo signals are masked by the strong interference signals and this makes it difficult to detect the true targets from the cross-correlation function. Adaptive filters are known as effective methods for suppressing the interference signals but there is a problem to present their accurate performances in the PCL system because many literatures used the cross-correlation function and the ratio of input and output power as a measure of the performance analysis. In this paper, a performance analysis method is proposed to evaluate the performance of interference cancellation algorithms. By using the property that each component of the filter weight vector is adjusted to suppress the specific interference signal, a performance measure of the interference signal suppression is defined by a function of adaptive filter weights. Based on the proposed method, we compare the performance of the adaptive filters used in the PCL system. Simulation results show that the proposed method can be very effective for evaluating the performance of interference cancellation algorithms.

  • This paper describes a Dual Buck Converter with mode control using variable Frequency to Voltage for portable devices requiring wide load current. The inherent problems of PLL compensation and efficiency degradation in light load current that the conventional hysteretic buck converter has faced have been resolved by using the proposed Dual buck converter which include improved PFM Mode not to require compensation. The proposed mode controller can also improve the difficulty of detecting the load change of the mode controller, which is the main circuit of the conventional dual mode buck converter, and the slow mode switching speed. the proposed mode controller has mode switching time of at least 1.5us. The proposed DC-DC buck converter was implemented by using $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process and die size was $1.38mm{\times}1.37mm$. The post simulation results with inductor and capacitor including parasitic elements showed that the proposed circuit received the input of 2.7~3.3V and generated output of 1.2V with the output ripple voltage had the PFM mode of 65mV and 16mV at the fixed switching frequency of 2MHz in hysteretic mode under load currents of 1~500mA. The maximum efficiency of the proposed dual-mode buck converter is 95% at 80mA and is more than 85% efficient under load currents of 1~500mA.

  • The development of various electronic media such as the Internet and smart phones, each kinds of media informations has been accompanied by the fact that various types of media information are provided from one media, and on the other hand, various dysfunctions including smart phone addiction are also caused by a very large social problem. Especially, one of the biggest dysfunctions is the social crime problem such as sex crime caused by increased sexual desire according to watch the phonography, and even if it is not a social crime, watching the phonography has influenced bad mental and physical on human body. In this paper, we try to analyze what kind of change occurs in the voice in order to investigate what kind of bad influence it has on the human body after watching the phonography. In other words, the voice in the human body is the place where the human body signal is most expressed with the face. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effects on the organs of the human body by comparing the change of voice before and after watching phonography. Experimental results showed that the stress hormone was increased by the inability to resolve sexual desire after watching the phonography, which resulted in an increase in the bandwidth of the 3rd formant frequency.

  • In this paper, a fully printed NFC tag operating at 13.56 MHz was designed and fabricated using silver nano-paste and carbon ink. The proposed NFC tag has a printed coil with an inductance of $2.74{\mu}H$ on a PI film for application to an NFC tag IC with an internal capacitance of 50 pF. Screen printing technology used in this paper has advantages such as large area printing for mass production, low cost and eco-friendly process compared to conventional PCB manufacturing process. The proposed structure consists of a circular coil implemented as a single layer using silver nano-paste and carbon ink, a jumper pattern for chip mounting between the outer edge and the center of the coil, and an insulation pattern between the coil and the jumper pattern. In order to verify the performance of the proposed NFC tag, we performed the measurements of the printing line width, thickness, line resistance, adhesion and environmental reliability, and confirmed the suitability of the NFC tag based on the full-printed manufacturing method.

  • As the interest of things to the Internet increases, the market of IoT grows larger and devices and protocols related with IoT are evolving. As these IoT devices and protocols evolve, There was a problem with interoperability. As a result, market and standard of IoT are confused, and communication between objects and objects is being hindered by different platforms. Currently, various IoT platforms are being developed and interoperability with heterogeneous platforms is under study, but the protocols used on each platform are limited and designed to have no generalized structure. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze services of HTTP, CoAP, and MQTT protocols, which are typical in the Internet market, and design services that enable selective protocol communication. We also design resources that apply the RESTful API to generalize platform usage. and We implemented the platform through database modeling for quick processing and safety of the collected data. Through this process, devices communicating with different protocols can be interworked on one platform and We propose a "generalized selective protocol based Internet object data collecting platform" that can be applied to various protocols.

  • Recently, the great number of mobile devices causes excessive data/control traffic problems in the centralized LTE/EPC network and such dramatically increased traffic is emerging as a critical issue. In the Centralized Mobility Management (CMM) based LTE/EPC network, the Packet Data Network Gateway (P-GW) plays the centralized mobility anchor role and it accommodates most of data traffic. To solve this problem, the IETF has proposed the Distributed Mobility Management (DMM) scheme, but it has only focused on the data traffic load balancing and could not solve the control traffic overload problem. In this paper, therefore, we propose a new SDN based hybrid CMM/DMM Mobility Management (C-DMM) architecture based on Packet Network Edge Gateway (P-EGW), and introduce a selection scheme between CMM and DMM according to a device's mobility and the number of PDN connections. In order to prove the efficiency of the proposed architecture and scheme, we compare the data traffic processing load and the control traffic processing load over each scheme by emulating them in the ONOS controller and the Mininet environment.

  • It is easy to reverse engineer an Android app package file(APK) and get its decompiled source code. Therefore, attackers obtains economic benefits by illegally using the decompiled source code, or modifies an app by inserting malware. To address these problems in Android, we propose an APK overwrite scheme that protects apps against illegal modification of themselves by using a new anti-reverse engineering technique. In this paper, the targets are the apps which have been written by any programmer. For a target app (original app), server system (1) makes a copy of a target app, (2) encrypts the target app, (3) creates a stub app by replacing the DEX (Dalvik Executable) of the copied version with our stub DEX, and then (4) distributes the stub app as well as the encrypted target app to users of smartphones. The users downloads both the encrypted target app and the corresponding stub app. Whenever the stub app is executed on smartphones, the stub app and our launcher app decrypt the encrypted target app, overwrite the stub app with the decrypted target one, and executes the decrypted one. Every time the target app ends its execution, the decrypted app is deleted. To verify the feasibility of the proposed scheme, experimentation with several popular apps are carried out. The results of the experiment demonstrate that our scheme is effective for preventing reverse engineering and tampering of Android apps.

  • The real-time data dissemination schemes exploit the spatiotemporal commuication approach which forwards data at the delivery speed calculated with the desired time deadline and the end-to-end distance in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In practical environments, however, the performance of the real-time data dissemination might be degraded by additional and inevitable delay due to some holes. Namely, the holes lengthen the data delivery path and the spatiotemporal approach could not estimate a distance of the data delivery path. To deal with this, we propose A Hole Self-Organization Real-time Routing Protocol for Irregular Wireless Sensor Networks. In proposed protocol, nodes around holes could detect them at deploying phase. A hole is represented as a circle with center point and radius. This hole information is processed and provided as a form of location service. When a source queries a destination location, location provider replies certain points for avoiding holes as well as destination location. Thus, the source could set desired speed toward the destination via the points. Performance evaluation shows that provides better real-time service in practical environments.

  • In wireless sensor networks, there have been two methods for sensing continuously moving object tracking: user-query based method and periodic report based method. Although the former method requires overhead for user query rather than the latter method, the former one is known as an energy-efficient method without transferring unnecessary information. In the former method, a virtual tree, consisting of sensor nodes, is exploited for the user querying and sensor reporting. The tree stores the information about mobile objects; the stored information is triggered to report by the user query. However, in case of fast moving object, the tracking accuracy reduces due to the time delay of end-to-end repeated query. To solve the problem, we propose a query relaying method reducing the time delay for mobile object tracking. In the proposed method, the nodes in the tree relay the query to the adjacent node according to the movement of mobile object tracking. Relaying the query message reduces the end-to-end querying time delay. Simulation results show that our method is superior to the existing ones in terms of tracking accuracy.
