KC-100 소형항공기 추진계통 비행시험 사례연구 (Study on The Propulsion System Flight Test of KC-100 Small Airplane)

  • The conformity of propulsion system need to be evaluated thorough the flight test because it is an important part of the airplane to ensure the flight safety. In the small airplane development, the flight test according to KAS(Korean Airworthiness Standards) Part 23 is one of the ways to verify compliance in terms of satisfactory aircraft/engine/propeller integration. This thesis introduces means of verifying the compliance and test requirement of KAS Part 23 for the conformity of the propulsion system in small airplane. It also describes procedures and methods of propulsion system flight test through KC-100 airplane project.

항공기 인증비행시험요원의 비행시험 자격 유지 방안 연구 (Study on How to Maintain the Flight Test Currency of Certification Flight Test Crew)

  • This is a research report about the method of how to maintain qualification of certification flight test crews. KCA(Korea Certification Agency) have completed the KC-100 airplane certification flight tests which is the first time experienced flight tests operation. After the certification flight test, it has been found that annual flying time requirement of 100 hours to the certification flight test pilot is too strict, and other several requirements to maintain the qualification of the certification test crew such as aircraft certification introduction training, initial flight test pilot and flight test engineer certification training, crew resource management training, aviation physiology training, and survival training was difficult to implement in Korean civil aviation environments. In this study, it was suggested that 30 hours of flying time for maintaining certification flight test pilot qualification could be applied to contribute for safe operation of certification flight test and the other training requirements of the certification flight test crew could be fulfilled using self made training courses, existing FAA training courses and Korean Air Force training resources. Therefore, it is recommended that the regulation of maintaining the certification flight test crew qualification should be refined to implement the requirement practically.

  • This study analyzed that the infant carrier standard affects the satisfaction of certification. Baby Carrier Safety requirements in the Republic of Korea is enforceable by court duty certification. Therefore, a test was conducted to compare with the safety requirements of the United States and Europe and the survey was conducted to know how much manufacturers and importers are satisfied with the certification. According to the test result, there is a difference between domestic and foreign safety requirements about flame retardancy. As a result of the survey, The satisfaction of the certification is proportionate to the one of product standard.

  • KC-100(KAI Civil Aircraft, Small Series) aircraft is 4 seats general aviation aircraft with single piston engine which is developing under FAA part 23 category by Korea Aerospace Industries(KAI) and will be a shadow program for civil aircraft safety infrastructure improvement. This aircraft will be the first civil aircraft developed in Korea meeting the Korean regulatory KAS Part 23 requirements. Type certification for KC-100 aircraft was applied at the second half of this year. The type certificate is expected to be issued after 3 years of design, prototype manufacturing, ground and flight tests. In this paper the system engineering process for civil aircraft was first reviewed. Next, the differences and similarities in the system development between military and civil aircraft were systematically examined using experiences for KAI military aircraft development program.

  • This study analyzed that the standard of school supplies affects the satisfaction of certification. Safety requirements of school supplies in the Republic of Korea is enforced by court duty certification. Therefore, a test was conducted to compare the safety requirements of the United States and Europe and the survey was conducted to know how much manufacturers and importers are satisfied with the certification. To prepare management measures for harmful substances contained in children's product, XRF(X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry) is utilized to analyze lead(Pb) and cadmium(Cd) in PA(paint), SP(sheet) and PVC(Poly Vinyl Chloride). The results of comparative analysis of ICP(inductively coupled plasma) is analyzed statistically with measured values.

  • The engine is the most significant and essential part of the aircraft. As a result, systematical handling in the aircraft development stage is required from engine design to implementation to the full-scale airframe. This survey demonstrates the procedures demanded by the KAS 23 Civil Aircraft to acquire the engine Type Certification and the flight test procedures for ensuring the operational stability. Surveys were conducted on domestic and international aircraft engine certifications, technical regulations and documentations related to the Means of Compliance for flight test development stage. In addition, organized reference items that should be considered for the certification of engine flight test procedures were reviewed based on the KC-100.

  • 본 논문은 무인교통 단속장비 시스템을 개선하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위하여 기존 무인교통 단속장비에 대하여 개선이 필요한 부분을 정리하고 최신 기술을 적용하여 개선할 수 있는 사항들을 도출하였다. 또한 도출된 개선 사항을 반영하여 새로운 무인교통 단속장비의 설계 및 구현방안을 제시하고자 한다. 주요 개선사항으로서 무인교통 단속장비의 하우징 소재 변경, 장비구성의 간소화, 무게의 경량화와 소프트웨어로 단속용도 변경이 가능하도록 설계 하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 개선된 무인교통 단속장비의 객관적 성능을 평가하기 위하여 공인인증기관에 의뢰하여 KC 인증 및 내구성 시험을 통한 장비의 신뢰도를 확보하였다. 기존 무인교통 단속장비와 공사기간 및 설치비용 등을 비교 평가하여 앞으로 무인교통 단속장비 시장성 확보의 당위성을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The air data measured from the static pressure, the dynamic pressure and etc. of an airplane is used for calculation of many flight parameters(altitude and airspeed and so on) and these values applied to flight safety and navigation flight. The pitot-static system of the development airplane is calibrated by finding of pitot-static system's error using tower fly-by, trailing cone method and etc. This paper is describing for the introduction of the trailing cone method and major items for test planning, preparation, operation and results for air data calibration flight test performed, considering efficiency and safety during KC-100 development project.

  • The Test and Evaluation (T&E) process is an integral part of the Systems Engineering Process. The purpose of Test and Evaluation (T&E) in a system development is to identify the areas of risk to be reduced or eliminated. In this study, when develop aircraft of Civil Aviation with development experience of Military Aircraft, it is that establish Test and Evaluation process. Test and Evaluation for KC-100 small aircraft development can divide to certification test and development test. Certification test is proved compliance about Korea Airworthiness standard (KAS Part 23), through Development Test verify required performance of aircraft. These Test and Evaluation Process is more efficient and optimized.

전자코를 사용하여 할랄식품 적용을 위한 고추장 중 에탄올 분석 (Electronic Nose Analysis of Ethanol in Gochujang for Halal Food Certification)

  • 본 연구에서는 할랄 인증을 위한 고추장 중 에탄올 분석 시 1차 스크리닝 절차로서 전자코가 적용 가능한지를 알아보고자 하였다. 먼저 공인된 알코올 분석법인 GC-FID를 사용하여 25개의 재래식 고추장을 분석한 결과 모든 고추장에서 에탄올이 검출되었으며 그 함량은 0.14-2.7%이었다. 이 중 8개 고추장을 선별하여 전자코 분석한 결과, 에탄올 함량이 비슷한 고추장끼리 유사한 패턴을 나타내는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 시판 고추장 2개를 대상으로 전자코 분석을 통해 할랄 인증기관이 요구하는 에탄올 기준을 준수하는지를 1차적으로 신속하게 스크리닝이 가능함을 확인하였다.
