An Experimental Study on the Supplemental Cooling and Heating Performance Using 1 kW Thermoelectric Module for Vehicle (열전모듈을 이용한 자동차용 1 kW급 보조 냉난방 시스템의 성능에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the performance of supplemental cooling and heating system equipped with the 1 kW thermoelectric module. The system consist of 96 thermoelectric modules, heat sink with louver fin and water cooling jacket which is attached on the hot side of the thermoelectric module. The cooling and heating performance test of the thermoelectric system is conducted with various conditions, such as intake voltage, air inlet temperature, air flow volume, water inlet temperature and water flow rate at calorimeter chamber in consideration of environmental conditions in realistic vehicle drive. The experimental results of a thermoelectric system shows that the cooling capacity and COP is 1.03 kW, and 1.0, and heating capacity and COP is 1.53 kW, and 1.5 respectively.

  • In this paper, a flexible wireless power receiving system is proposed for wearable device applications. The proposed system is designed with printable component configuration to be integrable to textile material. While the defected ground structures(DGSs) are utilized for planar printable filter designs, direct impedance matching technique is considered for flexible circuit performance. The proposed system has been implemented on a flexible substrate with a thickness of 5 mils, and experimented for power conversion efficiencies and converted voltages. In order to evaluate the hardware flexibility, the system performance are measured a bended circuit board at a radius of curvature of 5 cm. The system performance is analyzed for the degradation due to the curvature. The proposed system has shown the excellent capability of far-field wireless power transfer systems in flexible device environments.

Design of 5.5 GHz Band Oscillator for local wireless Communication system (근거리 무선통신용 5.5 GHz 대역 발진기 설계)

  • This paper shows the design, fabrication and performance of oscillator appled to 5.5GHz RF module for local wireless communication system. Super low noise HJ FET of NE3210S01 is used to obtain a good phase noise Performance. The design Parameters for the optimum operating performance are simulated with ADS simulation. The measured out Power is 10 dBm at 5.5GHz, the second harmonic suppression -31 dBc, and the phase noise characteristics -98.83 dBc at 100kHz offset frequency, respectively. This implemented oscillator is available to local wireless Communication system.

Anti-Pinch System for Power Window by Using Hall Sensor (홀센서를 이용한 파워 윈도우용 안티핀치 시스템)

  • Recently the power window system is widely used in automobiles to increase convenience of passengers and drivers. However some accidents or injuries have been caused by malfunction or misusage of the system. Therefore safety regulations of the system to cope up with these accidents have been strengthened gradually in many countries. Especially in America, since 2005, all vehicles which had power window system should be contented with FMVSS 118-S5 regulations. We suggest very low-cost anti-pinch window control system satisfying the regulation in this paper. Hall sensors are used and installed around a motor rotor with ring magnet to detect motor speed for anti-pinch. The optimum number of hall sensor and location angel of them are mainly investigated to get sufficient speed resolution for anti-pinch. Through some experiments, the validity of the suggested system was verified to satisfy the regulation.

Correlations between Gastroscopy Results and Zone-5 Data from the 7-zone-Diagnostic System (7구역진단기의 5구역 정보와 위내시경 소견의 상관성에 관한 연구)

  • Objectives : The 7-zone-diagnostic system is a device for predetermining bodily locations by measuring the energy of the living body. The purpose of this study is to examine correlations between gastroscopy results and zone-5 data from the 7-zone-diagnostic system. Methods : This study was carried out with data from gastroscopy procedures. It involved 115 patients who had been diagnosed with gastritis, esophagitis, or gastric ulcers. These patients were divided into three groups according to the different patterns of zone-5 factors AA, FL2 and FL1. Group A was made up of patients for whom the red bar graph of zone-5 was higher than the normal range for factor AA. Group B was made up of patients for whom the red bar graph of zone-5 was within the normal range for factor AA. Group C was made up of patients for whom the red bar graph of zone-5 was lower than the normal range for factor AA. Group D E and F were made up of same way as group A B and C for factor FL2. Group G H and I were made up of same way as group A B and C for factor FL1. After the collection of gastroscopy results and data on zone-5 from the 7-zone-diagnostic system, the data was analyzed statistically. Results : 1. Group D had a higher ratio of medication than group E, and this result was statistically significant. 2. Group D G had a higher ratio of medication than group E G and group E H, and this result was statistically significant. 3. Group G had a higher ratio of esophagitis than group H, and this result was statistically significant. 4. A Group B H had a higher ratio of esophagitis than group B G, group C G, and group C H, and this result was statistically significant. 5. The medication group had a high score on the function index than the non-medication group, and this result was statistically significant. Conclusions : This study suggests that there is a slight correlation between gastroscopy results and zone-5 data from the 7-zone-diagnostic system. The research resulted in significant data that are helpful for diagnosing digestive system problems through the use of the 7-zone-diagnostic system.

Development of a Digital Down-mixer to Convert 5.1 Channel Audio Signals to Stereo Signals (5.1 채널 오디오 신호를 스테레오 신호로 변환하는 디지털 다운믹서 개발)

  • Use of the 5.1 channel audio signals suitable for the television system is improper for the radio broadcasting system, which uses the stereo audio system. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an audio down-mixer to convert 5.1 multi-channel audio signals to stereo signals for radio broadcasting. In this paper, a development of an audio down-mixer was carried out to convert 5.1 multi-channel audio signals to stereo signals. The down-mixer which was developed can use the audio signals separated from video signals, including sound signals or individual signals provided from 3-channel AES/EBU signals including Left(L), Right(R), Left Surround(Ls), Right Surround(Rs), Center(C) and Low Frequency Effect(Lfe) sounds as mixer inputs.

Multiple Target Tracking using Target Feature Information (표적의 형상정보를 활용한 다중표적 추적 기법)

  • This paper presents a multiple target tracking system using target feature information. In the proposed system, the state of target is defined as its kinematic as well as feature : the kinematic includes a location and a velocity; the feature contains the image correlation between a prior target and a current measurement. The feature information is used for generating the validation matrix and association probability of joint probabilistic data association (JPDA) algorithm. Through the Kalman filter, the target kinematic is updated. Then the tracking information is cycled by the track management algorithm. The system has been evaluated using the images obtained from Electro-Optics/ InfraRed (EO/IR) sensor. It is verified that the proposed system can reduce the complexity burden of JPDA process and can enhance the track maintenance rate.

  • The purpose of this paper is to explain the real characteristics of generation system of large scale power system of high voltage the grid connected PV power system for electricity industry. Main system is made up PCS in the class 150kVA. and we studied commercial operation in Korea-Western Power Company,(Tae-An headquarter) with the capacity of module is 122.5 $kW_p$. On the average, power plant utilities' utilization is 12.71 percent and consumption rate is 6.66 percent. We operated normally since 25th, August 2005 without any other problems.

  • This study proposes a model of 1.5MVA wind power system in Go-chang field demonstration and performs simulation according to variable wind speed. 1.5MVA wind power system was verified by computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software. Terminal voltage, grid voltage and active/reactive power can be observed through the simulation results.

  • 본 논문에서는 FXLMS 알고리즘을 이용하여 3차원 폐공간(반무향실)에서의 순음(125Hz)을 이용하여 부 음원과 에러센서의 위치 변화에 따른 소음저감 정도를 분석하였으며, 이 결과를 바탕으로 능동형 방음벽의 구현의 기초자료로 활용하고자 하였다. 부음원(제어스피커, 이하 부음원)과 에러센서간 거리차는 0.5m, 1.5m, 2.5m를 대상으로 실험을 실시하였으며 그 중 거리차가 1.5m 지점의 경우, 125Hz부근에서는 최대 18.3dB, Overall(80Hz~200Hz)값은 18.2dB(A)의 소음저감 효과가 있는 것으로 나타나, 가장 효과적인 부음원과 에러센서간의 거리차인 것으로 평가되었다.
