COMPARISON OF THE ACCURACY OF STONE CASTS MADE FROM ALGINATE IMPRESSION MATERIAL BY MIXING METHODS AND APPLICATION OF TRAY ADHESIVE (알지네이트 인상재의 혼합방법과 트레이 어드헤시브 도포에 따른 모형의 정확도 비교)

  • The use of alginate impression materials today is prevalent because of its efficiency and simplicity in clinical settings. Unfortunately, the simplicity of the procedure tends to lull the dentist into a sense of well-being, and lead him into using careless or sloppy technique. Alginate impression materials are used to fabricate diagnostic and preliminary casts, and the final cast. Incorrect use of this material is known to affect the accuracy of the final prosthesis. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of different mixing methods of alginate impression material and tray adhesive on the accuracy of the stone cast produced by each method. A total of 30 stone casts were produced by using 3 different types of mixing methods (10 stone cast for each mixing method, respectively). The first method utilized an automatic-mixing machine to mix alginate while the second method was carried out manually, strictly following manufacturer's instructions. The third method also involved manual mixing, but did not follow the manufacturer's instructions and was done in a random fashion. Also, 20 additional stone casts were produced by using alginate with or without tray adhesives were included in the study to evaluate effects of tray adhesives on the accuracy of alginate impression. 10 stone casts were produced by adding tray adhesives to the interior surface of the impression tray prior to taking the impression. The other 10 excluded this step. A total of 50 stone casts were analyzed by the three-dimensional measuring machine to measure and compare the dimensional changes of the impression material of each group. The results are as follows. 1. No significant difference was found between the automatic mixing group and the manually-mixing group(p>0.05). 2. For the group that followed manufacturer's instructions, less dimensional changes were record ed than the group that didn't in measuring distanced 4(p<0.05). 3. The group that used tray adhesives showed less dimensional changes(p<0.05). The findings revealed that mechanical methods of mixing alginate impression materials had little influence on dimensional changes. However, it is proven that following manufacturers instructions in alginate impression taking is an important step in acquiring accurate impressions and tray adhesives may play an important role in enhancing the results.

The Ethical Clothing Consumption Behavior of Female Adolescents in Jeollanamdo Area by their Shopping Orientation (전남지역 청소년기 여학생의 쇼핑유형과 의류제품의 윤리적 소비행동 연구)

  • This study intended to analyze the ethical clothing consumption behavior of female adolescents and use it as a basic data for education. Specifically, the female adolescents were classified according to their shopping orientation and then the differences among these groups were examined in terms of their ethical consumption behavior of clothing products, i.e., buying, using and disposing. As a result, three groups were identified: pleasure-seeking, intermediate, independence pursuing according to the shopping orientation sub-factors (loyal, enjoyment, impulsive, imitative and independent). The pleasure-seeking group were more likely to conduct ethical use behavior of clothing products, while the independence-pursuing group conducted more ethical buying and ethical disposing behavior. The lower their desire to enjoy shopping itself, the more cautious they are about their own decisions, and the more confident they about buying from the brand and store they liked, the more likely they were to conduct ethical buying behavior of clothing products. On the other hand, when the emotional and desire-seeking tendencies are combined with independent shopping tendencies, the more likely they conduct ethical use behaviors. In addition, the more they make independent purchasing decisions, the more likely they are to conduct ethical disposal behaivors. The results of this study suggest that providing detailed consumer education that considers individual differences in shopping orientation is needed.

A Study on the Influence of Digital Experience and Purchase in the 4th Industrial Revolution : Focusing on Differences between Satisfied, Neutral, and Dissatisfied Groups

  • One of the most considerate phenomena of the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is the use of digital devices. Digitalization is rapidly advancing through all areas of industry and life. Customer journey with digitalization is looking totally different from previous customer journey. The research targets were users of fashion, automobiles, cosmetics and online shopping malls. We analyzed 300 people for each valid questionnaire. The results of the study are as follows. First, it has been proven that digital experience affects positive (+) impact on purchasing intention and positive (+) impact on recommending intention and negative impact (-) on switching intent and subsequently affects positive impact (+) to purchase and incase of switching intent, negative impact (-) to purchase. Unlike traditional methods such as SPC(Service Profit Chain), the Digital experience to Purchase process Chain (DPC) has been identified to be suitable in the digital age. Second, the digital satisfied group (5 score-very satisfaction) has shown same result as above. However the digital neutral group (even though 4 score- satisfaction in five-point scale), specially in a highly competitive industry, has different from the satisfied group and 3 score-normal is same as dissatisfied group. It means that this group is that If there is a high level of attractiveness of substitute goods, there is a high possibility of switching them. It has supported Jones and Sasser [1995] that there have been two types of loyalty of true long-term loyalty and what we call false loyalty in the highly competitive industry zone which is commoditization or low differentiation, many substitutes, low cost of switching. Identifying true loyalty and false loyalty is crucial to establishing a customer experience strategy. it is necessary to actively utilize long-term digital experiences strategy to increase the total satisfaction of digital experience through all of customer purchasing journey in order to enhance the digital customer experience. It is difficult to see the effect as a one-time event. It should be scaled over the entire customer purchase process over a long period of time, which can positively affect purchase intention, recommendation intention, and conversion intention. This is also why it is difficult for second-runners to overtake first-runners in a short period.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop designs and patterns of a functional brassiere. For this purpose, women who have protruding and drooping breasts with 75B for their brassiere size were sampled. The fitting test for the fitness and function of test brassiere and control brassiere were carried out twice and compared the results from the both in terms of front, rear and side looks. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. The results from measuring the level of sag and spread, and volume and protrusion of breasts shows that there are some distinctive differences in the measurements before and after wearing the test brassiere and the test brassiere is proved to be very effective in correcting breasts' shapes. 2. Front look: Since the two front cutting lines of the test brassiere served to have the curved main part pressing against the breasts, it could support breasts to more than satisfactory level. In addition, upperline panel and side panels of the test brassiere were found to have the upperline of the upper cup pressed against the breasts and at the same time it pressed and gathered the flab around upper part of the breasts and armpits that helped to rearrange the shape of the breasts. It is also proved that the two-pieced test brassier was found to be more functional in supporting the lower cup of the breasts. 3. Rear look: The test brassier was made up of two wide U-shaped wings with 2.5cm tape on its lower sides. Each wing has 4 lines and 3 hems (5.5cm). For this reason, the test brassiere was tighter and better fitted on its back. 4. Side look and entire look: The wings of the test brassiere might look wider than that of the control brassier which has conventional straight-shaped wings, but it was analyzed that the test brassiere held the upper and lower sides of the wings more effectively to be more pressed against the breast. Therefore, the test brassiere scored higher in terms of adjusting to body movements, while the control brassiere looked better in overall terms. 5. The functional brassier fur protruding and drooping breasts developed from the experiments of this study is a full side stretch brassiere which covers the entire breasts satisfactorily. User Experience Analysis of Smart bands (스마트 밴드에 대한 사용자경험 분석)

  • With the advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the wearable-device industry is growing at a rapid pace in line with the hyper-connected society of people-to-things and things-to-things network connections. International Data Corporation (IDC), a market research institute, estimates that the wearable-device industry will grow rapidly by 2020, despite not yet attracting a popular response. This study investigates the trend of the wearable-device industry and draws implications for product and service development through user experience analysis. The subject of analysis was smart bands and the data generated from product review were collected and analyzed. As a result, user experience could extract utility, usability, aesthetics, value, and reliability, and polarity was analysed and visualized in the extracted data. The study results reveal that current wearable-devices are expensive, that users cannot receive useful information from the long-term viewpoint since the analysis of accumulated data remains focused on functional development, and that they are recognized as a fashion item or an accessory. These factors hinder the continuous usage, motivation and market spread of the product. In a future follow-up study, we will conduct a comparative study on bands and watches by analyzing the second smart watch.

  • The English Landscape garden and picturesque aesthetics, which was in fashion during the 18th to early 19th century in England, has been accused of making people see the actual garden in terms of a static landscape painting without a synesthetic engagement in nature. As new optic devices such as diorama, panorama, photography, and cinematography were invented, ways of seeing nature transitioned from a perspective vision to a panoramic, that is, modern one. This study intends to uncover signs of this kind of modern vision in the picturesque aesthetics and visual representation of landscape gardener Humphry Repton. German garden theorist Christian Cay Lorenz Hirschfeld contended that the English landscape garden was a new style of designing landscape that followed the principle of the serpentine line, which produced movement in sightlines; thus, he considered garden art as a superior art form among all other genres. The signs of visual motion appear in Repton's sketches of "Red Books". Firstly, he designed systemic routes in his clients' properties by considering different types of movements between walks and drives. Secondly, he often used the visual effects of panoramic views for his sketches in order to allow his clients to experience the human visual field. Lastly, he constructed sequences of sketches in order to provide his clients with an illusion of movement; in other words, Repton's sketches functioned as potential visual media to produce the duration of time in a visual experience. Thus, the garden aesthetics of the time reflected the contemporary visual culture, that is to say, a panoramic vision pertaining to visual motion.

Deep Learning Model Validation Method Based on Image Data Feature Coverage (영상 데이터 특징 커버리지 기반 딥러닝 모델 검증 기법)

  • Deep learning techniques have been proven to have high performance in image processing and are applied in various fields. The most widely used methods for validating a deep learning model include a holdout verification method, a k-fold cross verification method, and a bootstrap method. These legacy methods consider the balance of the ratio between classes in the process of dividing the data set, but do not consider the ratio of various features that exist within the same class. If these features are not considered, verification results may be biased toward some features. Therefore, we propose a deep learning model validation method based on data feature coverage for image classification by improving the legacy methods. The proposed technique proposes a data feature coverage that can be measured numerically how much the training data set for training and validation of the deep learning model and the evaluation data set reflects the features of the entire data set. In this method, the data set can be divided by ensuring coverage to include all features of the entire data set, and the evaluation result of the model can be analyzed in units of feature clusters. As a result, by providing feature cluster information for the evaluation result of the trained model, feature information of data that affects the trained model can be provided.

Structural elucidation of immuno-stimulating polysaccharide, galactomannan isolated from Colocasia esculenta (토란으로부터 분리한 면역활성 다당 galactomannan의 구조적 특성 규명)

  • To elucidate the structure-function relationship of polysaccharides obtained from Colocasia esculenta, the immuno-stimulating polysaccharide, CE-4a was purified to homogeneity from the crude polysaccharide (CE) extracted from the corms of C. esculenta by two subsequent column chromatographies using DEAE-Sepharose FF and Sephadex G-100, and analysis of their immuno-stimulatory activities and structure were conducted. CE-4a showed an increase in anti-complementary activity in a dose-dependent fashion. The molecular mass was estimated to be 182.4 kDa, which mainly consisted of galactose (43.5%) and mannose (18.2%). Methylation analysis indicated that CE-4a comprised at least 10 different glycosyl linkages, such as terminal Galp, 3-linked Galp, and 4-linked Manp, as well as a characteristic linkage, 2,4,6-branched Manp residue. To analyze the fine structure of CE-4a, it was sequentially digested using endo-α-(1→4)-polygalacturonase, exo-α-galactosidase and endo-β-1,4-D-mannanase. These analyses suggested that CE-4a is to be a highly branched galactomannan with a (1→4)-mannan backbone and galactopyranosyl oligosaccharide side chains.

Textile material classification in clothing images using deep learning (딥러닝을 이용한 의류 이미지의 텍스타일 소재 분류)

  • As online transactions increase, the image of clothing has a great influence on consumer purchasing decisions. The importance of image information for clothing materials has been emphasized, and it is important for the fashion industry to analyze clothing images and grasp the materials used. Textile materials used for clothing are difficult to identify with the naked eye, and much time and cost are consumed in sorting. This study aims to classify the materials of textiles from clothing images based on deep learning algorithms. Classifying materials can help reduce clothing production costs, increase the efficiency of the manufacturing process, and contribute to the service of recommending products of specific materials to consumers. We used machine vision-based deep learning algorithms ResNet and Vision Transformer to classify clothing images. A total of 760,949 images were collected and preprocessed to detect abnormal images. Finally, a total of 167,299 clothing images, 19 textile labels and 20 fabric labels were used. We used ResNet and Vision Transformer to classify clothing materials and compared the performance of the algorithms with the Top-k Accuracy Score metric. As a result of comparing the performance, the Vision Transformer algorithm outperforms ResNet.

Effect of $K^+-channel$ Blockers on the $A_1-adenosine$ Receptor-Coupled Regulation of Electrically-Evoked Norepinephrine Release in the Rat Hippocampus (흰쥐 해마에서 Norepinephrine 유리를 조절하는 $A_1-adenosine$ 수용체의 역할에 미치는 $K^+$ 통로 차단제의 영향)

  • Since it has been reported that the depolarization-induced NE release is inhibited by activation of presynaptic $A_1-adenosine$ heteroreceptor in hippocampus, a large body of experimental data on the post-receptor mechanism of this process has been accumulated. But, the post-receptor mechanism of presynaptic $A_1-adenosine$ receptor on the NE release has not been clearly elucidated yet. Therefore, it was attempted to clarify the participation of $K^+-channel$ in the post-receptor mechanisms of the $A_1-adenosine$ receptor-mediated control of NE release in this study. Slices from rat hippocampus were equilibrated with $^3H-norepinephrine$ and the release of the labelled products was evoked by electrical stimulation (3 Hz, 5 $VCm^{-1}$, 2 ms, rectangular pulses), and the influence of various agents on the evoked tritium-outflow was investigated. Adenosine, in concentrations ranging from $1{\sim}30\;{\mu}M$, decreased the NE release in a dose-dependent manner, without affecting the basal rate of release. 4AP $(1{\sim}30{\mu}M)$, a specific A-type $K^+-channel$ blocker, increased the evoked NE release in a dose-related fashion, and the basal rate of release is increased by 10 and $30{\mu}M$. TEA $(1{\sim}10{\mu}\;M)$, a nonspecific $K^+-channel$ blocker, increased the evoked NE release in a dose-dependent manner without affecting basal release. The adenosine effects were significantly inhibites by 3 ${\mu}M$ 4AP and 10 mM TEA treatment. 4AP $(30{\mu}M)-$ and TEA (10 mM)-induced increments of evoked NE release were completely abolished in $Ca^{++} free, but these were recoverd in low $Ca^{++} medium. And the effects of $K^+-channel$ blockers in low $Ca^{++} medium were inhibites and abolishes by $Mg^{++} (4 mM) adding and TTX $(0.3{\mu}M)$ adding medium, respectively. These results suggest that the decrement of the evoked NE-release by $A_1-adenosine$ receptor is mediated by 4AP and TEA sensitive $K^+-channel$.
