110kW급 고출력 밀도형 PMSM의 손실 저감을 통한 고효율 설계에 대한 연구 (Study on the High Efficiency Design through the Loss Reduction of the 110kW Class High-output Density PMSM)

  • In this paper, 110kW high output density, high efficiency Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor which can be applied on tram’s traction system is introduced, along with its output and loss characteristics. The motor model is 2pole 18slot model and its size has been reduced through the high speed for high output density. Especially, structure and retainer sleeve structure is applied to its structure, which is also appropriate for high speed rotation. This kind of structure has eddy current loss problem on the surface of rotor, which must be reduced for high output density design. This study has designed the most optimized additional design parameter in order to improve the output characteristics and efficiency of previous produced 2pole 18 slot 110kW motor model and how the width of airgap affects from the loss perspective is mainly analyzed. Finally, the analysis on the extent of the efficiency improvement effect compared to the previous model has performed through electromagnetic FEM analysis. The influence of airgap flux density distribution has also been thoroughly examined.

Ion Induced Secondary Electron Emission of MgO with Patterned Gold Line Charge Neutralization

  • Ion induced secondary electron emission coefficients γ of protecting layers of an AC plasma display panel(AC-PDP) have been measured. In order to solve the surface charging effect during the measurement at insulating samples like MgO, a new method with the patterned gold line charge neutralization has been introduced. The measurement was performed at the samples, MgO and MgO+MgF$_2$, which showed a great difference in the firing voltage between the two protecting layers. The γ value has been compared with the firing voltage Vf of the AC-PDP with the same protecting layer. Correct relationship between γ and Vf has been observed. Thus, the patterned gold line method has been proven to be successful for the measurement of the secondary electron emission yield at insulator sample surfaces.

  • This paper presents a power supply system with pre-regulator using zero voltage switching (ZVS) interleaving two-transistor forward converter for high input voltage and high power application. A SMPS has a advantage that a good efficiency, small size and light weight but has a noise problem. A linear power supply system has a advantage that a good stability, low ripple and noise but has a disadvantage that a big size, low efficiency and heat problem. To alleviate these problems, we propose an power supply system using dual ZVS interleaving two-transistor forward pre-regulator. The proposed converter is verified on a 1kW, 50kHz experimental prototype.

  • A new current controlled PWM technique for a 3-level inverter has been proposed and described in the paper. The proposed current control has the simple structure without needing to calculate the switching angles of the voltage vectors. The output in the proposed inverter contains less harmonic content than that of a conventional current controlled PWM controller, since the current control can be applied to the 3-level inverter. In addition, the proposed current controlled PWM technique has lower switching frequency than that of a conventional current controlled PWM technique at the same current limit. The control method and the performance for a proposed 3-level inverter has been discussed and investigated by the computer simulation.

디젤엔진 피스톤용 SCM440의 레이저 표면경화부의 잔류응력 (Residual Stress Distribution of Laser Hardened SCM440 for Diesel Engine Piston)

  • SCM440, which is widely used as the diesel engine piston of vessel, has been hardened by a $CO_2$ laser with the wavelength of $10.6{\mu}m$. Laser hardening experiment has been carried out for the condition of a laser power 1kW, the travel speed between 0.4 and 1.5m/min, and a rectangular-Gaussian beam. Residual stress has been measured by using middle point technique of half value width of X-ray diffraction method. It was found that the compressive residual stress with the range between 400 and 600MHz has distributed in the laser hardening zones and the tensile residual stress between 100 and 200MHz has distributed in the boundary of hardening zones.

  • In this paper, we have studied for analysis of the partial discharge(PD) signal in underground transmission line. The PD signal has estimated as detected signal accumulation of a PRPDA method by using Labview, and analyzed with fuzzy algorithm. In our algorithm, we developed system configuration that detected accumulating PD signal using by Labview and programmed fuzzy algorithm can be analyzed the PD signal using with Matlab. With practical PD logic implementation of theoretical detected system and hardware implementation, the device for Hipotronics Company's 50kV setup has generated and then has applied with $15k{\sim}17kV$ with 1:1 time probe. It's also used the LDPE 0.27mmt (scratch error 0.05mmt) to sample for making PD. In conclusion, Our new class of PD detected algorithm has also compared with previous PRPDA or Fuzzy algorithm. which has diagnose more conveniently by adding numerical values.

A Novel Polymer Membrane for Extraction Applications

  • In this study, a new type of Aliquat 336/PVC membrane has been made for extraction experiments. This new membrane is capable of holding more Aliquat 336 than previously developed extraction membranes, hence overcoming a major problem that has confronted many researchers for a long time. The new membrane has been used try investigate the rate of extraction fur the Cd(II) ion in 2.0 M HCI solution and the effect of membrane thickness on the rate of extraction. The experimental results have shown this new membrane has a promising future in relevant industrial applications. A new method is also used in this study to qualitatively identify the oily substance on the surface of membrane after the extraction experiment was completed. This oily substance has been found to be Aliquat 336.

Novel Zero-Voltage-Switching Bridgeless PFC Converter

  • In this paper, a new zero-voltage-switching, high power-factor, bridgeless rectifier is introduced. In this topology, an auxiliary circuit provides soft switching for all of the power semiconductor devices. Thus the switching losses are reduced and the highest efficiency can be achieved. The proposed converter has been analyzed and a design procedure has been introduced. The control circuit for the converter has also been developed. Based on the given approach, a 250 W, 400 Vdc prototype converters has been designed at 100 kHz for universal input voltage (90-264 Vrms) applications. A maximum efficiency of 94.6% and a power factor correction over 0.99 has been achieved. The simulation and experimental results confirm the design procedure and highlight the advantages of the proposed topology.

Our new class of PD detected algorithm has also compared with previous PRPDA or Fuzzy algorithm, which has diagnose more conveniently by adding numerical values.

LC-MS/MS를 이용한 담배 연기 중 Heterocyclic Amines의 분석 (Analysis of Heterocyclic Amines in Mainstream Cigarette Smoke using by LC-MS/MS)

  • This study was carried out to determine the analytical methods for heterocyclic amines(HAs) of the tobacco smoke by LC/MS/MS. HAs have been found in pyrolysate of protein and cooked food including protein, were known the Sugimura compound. HAs content of the smoke were known to exist very low ppb level. Especially, some of HAs are mutagenic and carcinogenic compounds. In according to IARC, the toxicity of N-heterocyclic amines classified IARC class 2A or 2B group. Precursors of these compounds are glutamic acid, protein and free amino acids including tryptophan, therefore, the precursors have been proved in cooked food continuously. This study was investigate multiple analysis methods for HAs and HAs contents of some commercial products. In this study, we used the linear type smoking machine for HAs analysis. At the ISO conditions, mainstream smoke was collected on cambridge filter pad, and then cambridge filter pad was extracted by 0.1% acetic acid. The extracted solution were passed cation exchange SPE cartridge to remove matrix, samples were analyzed using LC/MS/MS on MRM mode. From the result that optimized this methods, the correlation coefficient(R) of the individual compounds were good linearity over 0.999, recovery rate over 96% and the limit of detection were good values between 0.06 to 0.37 ng/mL, In addition, HAs content of some commercial products were in range of 0.02 to 43.8 ng/cig.
