The purpose of this study is to investigate consumers' knowledge and preference towards functional cosmetics. Through the beauty advisors' surveys, their own selling styles and consumer behaviors recognized by beauty advisors were analyzed. It was intended to help extend and strengthen the functional cosmetic market which has continued to grow rapidly since the approved goods under cosmetic law in 2001. For this study, the data was collected through questionnaires the professional consumer counselors confirmed from Korean women over the age. of twenty old living in the Seoul and Kyoungki areas. After pre-research was implemented on 45 women, 328 samples were analyzed as final samples. In addition,46 samples, which were collected through the questionnaires from beauty advisors were analyzed. Samples were analyzed by frequency, percentage, T-test, ANOVA using the SPSS program. The results of study were as follows: First consumers recognized whether functional cosmetics or not. According to the beauty advisor's surveys, consumers regard the functional cosmetic boundary as being wider than real functional cosmetic boundary according to cosmetic law. So, there is a gap between consumers' opinions and real law. Second, regarding the purchasing channels, the largest channel is the cosmetic store. As far as consumers are concerned the most important factor when buying cosmetics, is the suitability of their own skin types. The second factor is product quality and the third factor is price. Functional cosmetics non-experienced group are more concerned with price compared to experienced group. Related to purchasing products, functional cosmetics experienced group buy set products compared to non-experienced group buy one product. Third, the ultraviolet filter cosmetics portion is the largest in the functional cosmetics market the second largest portion is bleaching cosmetics and the third largest portion is the anti-senility cosmetics. However, Most preferred by consumers is the anti-senility cosmetics. Moreover, preference for ultraviolet filter cosmetics is the least. Finally, the level of satisfaction for functional cosmetics is high and dissatisfaction is low. Consumers feel that beauty advisors are simply pushing high priced products without recognizing the consumers' real needs. In conclusion, to develop the functional cosmetic market continually in the future, it needs to extend various products and advertise them until consumers are more aware.

Quality is an important keyword representing the corporate competitiveness and image in today' s construction industry. Especially in concrete construction, any problems or defects in fresh concrete can significantly degrade the entire quality and performance of the facility built. Thus, adequate quality inspection and testing must be exercised over the fresh concrete, if concrete with the required strength, durability and appearance is to be obtained. The testing of concrete delivered to the construction job site involves testing of fresh concrete and performing strength tests on hardened concrete. The principal tests conducted on fresh concrete include the slump test and tests for air and salt content. The temperature of fresh concrete should be checked out hot or cold weather concreting. The 7-day and 28-day strength of hardened concrete are also determined by compression tests on usually cylinder samples. However, it is very complex and time-consuming process requiring a lot of efforts to document those on-site concrete testing results and to accumulate their historical data. The primary objective of this study is to suggest a unique PDA and web-based system which enables an on-site quality manager to effectively conduct the concrete inspection and testing, automatically document and accumulate the collected historical data, and promptly obtain the approval from supervisors. Finally, it is anticipated that the effective use of the proposed PDA and web-based system would be able to improve reliability of the concrete quality inspection and testing data as well as significantly reduce the approval process.

Background : EBM (the evidence based medicine) is the direction of the development for oriental medicine. The pulse meter-analyzer is the important part to standardize the pulse diagnosis. When we set up the direction of the study on the pulse meter-analyzer, the awereness about the pulse meter and analyzer of the clinical oriental medical doctors as consumers is very important. Objectives : In order to prepare for the mutual study and the export strategy on the pulse meter-analyzer of Korea and China, the attitude of the study and the grasp of the awereness about the pulse meter-analyzer of the Chinese medical doctors are very important. Methods : We developed the several items as the important factor of the development of the pulse meter and analyzer. They were translated by chinese medical doctor. The investigation for demend was conducted during 3 months in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China. The results of the investigation was done the statistical method of frequency analysis, Chi-squared test, correspondence analysis. Results : The most important differentiation of symptom is the symptom of JANG-BU(臟腑). The method of the utility in the pulse diagnosis is Chon-Gu (寸口) pulse diagnosis and the research on Chon-Kwan-Cheok(寸關尺) is the most important measurement factor. And the typical the old pulse is the little-fine weak pulse. The pulse meter-analyzer is most suitable to the diagnosis of the hypertension and the arteriosclerosis. Conclusion : The development of the pulse analyzer including the requests of Korean and Chinese medical doctors is very important. Specially the researches on the influence factors of the traditional diagnosis and the environment of the measurement are important for developing the pulse analyze.

A 3-D numeric model for the confined transient flow under sea ground have been developed. This is FDM model using Gauss-Seidel SOR (successive over-relaxation). This model shows the similar head distribution pattern to Theis analytic solution and MODFLOW simulation. The input flowrate to the aquifer and discharge of well have been compared. And it have been found that mass balance is influenced by the weight factor ${\alpha}$, i.e. fullyimplicit method (${\alpha}$=1) shows 5% error, but when ${\alpha}$ becomes to 0.5(Crank and Nicolson method) the mass balance becomes worse and the model result diverges. And the convergency of the model is not much different when $\lambda$ (over-relaxation factor)=0.8~1.5, but when $\lambda$>1.5, the model result diverges. The test-run shows that the well discharge becomes smaller when another well is near. This model can cover the isotropy$(Kx{\neq}Ky{\neq}Kz)$ and inhomogeneity, and can be used for the selection of well site, discharge calculation, and head prediction in case of the artificial recharge etc.
SEEMP (Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan) guidelines for a ship's GHG reduction include a machinery modification of hull, an installation of energy efficiency enhanced attachment in hardware methods. It is also possible to bring a ship energy efficiency improvement by fuel-efficient operations or in other software methods. Hardware modification or installation on ship can bring financial burdens to a ship company compared to its improvement expectation. On the other hand, Software based energy-saving technology can be applicable on various ship types, and it is also expected high efficiency of ship energy use compared to hardware based technology in perspective of the investment costs and efficiency. In this paper, it is described that the ship handling simulator based evaluation was carried out using representative ship model of bulk, container and VLCC. Simulation environments were separated into 6 conditions according to the sea-state and weather condition, and the operation results were compared with those before and after energy saving system applied The container ship showed the largest FOC save rate after energy saving system applied although the others also showed energy save rate after using the system.

This research presents the results of an investigation on the characteristic of multi-component blended high fluidity mortars. The binder was blended ordinary Portland cement(OPC), ground granulated blast furnace slag(GGBFS), calcium sulfoaluminate(CSA) and ultra rapid setting cement(URSC). The GGBFS was replaced by OPC from 30%(P7 series), 50%(P5 series) and 70%(P3 series), CSA and URSC was 10% or 20% mass. The superplasticizer of polycarboxylate type were used. A constant water-to-binder ratio(w/b)=0.35 was used for all mixtures. Test were conducted for mini slump, setting time, V-funnel, compressive strength and drying shrinkage. According to the experimental results, the contents of superplasticizer, V-funnel and compressive strength increases with an increase in CSA or URSC contents for all mixtures. Moreover, the setting time and drying shrinkage ratio decrease with and increase in CSA or URSC. CSA decreased dry shrinkage but URSC had less effect. However, the mixed binders of CSA and URSC had a large effect of reducing drying shrinkage by complementary effect. This is effective for improving the initial strength of URSC, and CSA is effective for the expansion and improvement of long-term strength.

Objectives: To determine the combined effect of fatigue cyclic loading and thermocycling (CLTC) on the shear bond strength (SBS) of a resin cement to zirconia surfaces that were previously air-abraded with aluminum oxide ($Al_2O_3$) particles at different pressures. Materials and Methods: Seventy-two cuboid zirconia specimens were prepared and randomly assigned to 3 groups according to the air-abrasion pressures (1, 2, and 2.8 bar), and each group was further divided into 2 groups depending on aging parameters (n = 12). Panavia F 2.0 was placed on pre-conditioned zirconia surfaces, and SBS testing was performed either after 24 hours or 10,000 fatigue cycles (cyclic loading) and 5,000 thermocycles. Non-contact profilometry was used to measure surface roughness. Failure modes were evaluated under optical and scanning electron microscopy. The data were analyzed using 2-way analysis of variance and ${\chi}^2$ tests (${\alpha}=0.05$). Results: The 2.8 bar group showed significantly higher surface roughness compared to the 1 bar group (p < 0.05). The interaction between pressure and time/cycling was not significant on SBS, and pressure did not have a significant effect either. SBS was significantly higher (p = 0.006) for 24 hours storage compared to CLTC. The 2 bar-CLTC group presented significantly higher percentage of pre-test failure during fatigue compared to the other groups. Mixed-failure mode was more frequent than adhesive failure. Conclusions: CLTC significantly decreased the SBS values regardless of the air-abrasion pressure used.
Purpose: There is uncertainty if the vergence facility would provide clinically significant supplementary information to the fusional vergence measurements. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between vergence facility and fusional vergence in a group of symptomatic subjects. Methods: A total of 114 symptomatic subjects aged 9 to 13 years, who passed the vision screening test, participated in this study. Vergence facility was measured with 8$\Delta$ BI/8$\Delta$ BO flipper lenses and a suppression control target, the 20/30 letter line on Vectogram 9 (Bernell, USA). Near fusional vergence was measured with a single 20/30 vertical line target by Von Graefe technique. In order to avoid excessive convergence stimulation, negative fusional vergence (NFV) range (blur, break and recovery) was measured followed by positive fusional vergence (PFV) ranges (blur, break and recovery). Results: Pearson correlations were calculated and showed no correlations between vergence facility and any of fusional vergence measurements (p>0.05). Also, there were no significant differences of vergence facility measurements on the compensating vergence that passed or failed Sheard and Morgan's criterion for comfortable vision (p>0.05). Conclusions: There was no correlation between vergence facility and fusional vergence among symptomatic subjects. Hence, both vergence facility and fusional vergence should be assessed for those with binocular dysfunction in order to make an accurate diagnosis and management plan.
This study analyzes the factors influencing self-esteem of the gifted children. The factors are divided into the environmental ones and innate ones. The purposes of this study is presented as follows. 1) To analyze the environmental factors influencing self-esteem of the gifted children (1) whether the education period affects self-esteem of the gifted children? (2) what influences do the manners of parental child-rearing behavior make? (3) what influences do peer relationships make on self-esteem of the gifted children? 2) To analyze the innate factors influencing self-esteem of the gifted children (1) does the gender make a difference to self-esteem of the gifted children? (2) does the level of intelligence make a difference to self-esteem of the gifted children? (3) what influences does the locus of control make on the self-esteem of the gifted children? To solve these questions 120 gifted children were selected, who were taking a special education program at C Korea Academy of Gifted Education located at Yangjae-dong Seocho-gu. They were 1st to 3rd grades at elementary school. We used Hare Self-Esteem Scale developed by Bruce R. Hare in 1985, the Index of Peer Relations developed by Hudson in 1986, and Nowicki & Strickland Locus of Control Scale developed by Nowicki and Strickland in 1973. At the other hand the nursing behaviors of 120 mothers of the gifted, were also investigated, based on the Korean Maternal Behavior Inventory, developed by Sungyeon Park in 1989 with some modifications. For statistical analysis we adopted SPSS, a computer software, and calaulated the coefficient of internal appropriateness and the frequencies and percentages of general aspects of the cases. We analysed the factors influencing the self-esteem of the gifted children by way of Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis and Duncan for ex-post-facto approval. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1) Influences of the environmental factors on the self-esteem of the gifted children: (1) The duration of education period had a significant effect on the self-esteem; the longer the duration were, the higher self-esteem they possessed. (2) Of parental child-rearing behaviors, active involvement had positive influence on the self-esteem; on the contrary, authoritarian control and overprotection had negative influences on the self-esteem. (3) An acceptable peer relationship had a positive influence on the self-esteem of the gifted children. 2) Influences of individual innate characteristics on the self-esteem of the gifted children: (1) The gender made no difference on the self-esteem of the gifted. (2) The intelligence did not have a statistically significant effect on the self-esteem of the gifted. (3) When the locus of control was external, the self-esteem of the gifted tended to be low.

This study was conducted to identify sensory processing factors that affect motor and process skills of children with cerebral palsy. A total of 36 children with cerebral palsy who attended at the J pediatric development center and the N rehabilitation hospital in Seoul participated. Pearson's correlation coefficients were used to test the relationship between motor skills, process skills and sensory processing abilities of children. Moreover, hierarchical multiple regression was used to identify the sensory processing factors influencing motor and process skills. Motor skills of children with cerebral palsy were correlated with auditory filtering, low energy/weakness, and visual/auditory sensitivity of sensory processing items, whereas process skills were correlated with tactile sensitivity and taste/smell sensitivity. The hierarchical regression model for motor skills revealed movement sensitivity, auditory filtering, and low energy/weakness as significant factors influencing sensory processing items. However, no factors were shown to influence process skills. The results of this study will be useful as a basic resource for rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy. However, further studies evaluating a larger population should be conducted to verify the results presented herein.
