철도 승강장 소음의 청감실반응평가모형에 대한 적합도 검정 (Classification Accuracy Test of Hearing Laboratory Test Models for Railway Noise at Station Platform)

  • A statistical annoyance model to railway noise at platform was proposed by jury evaluation test performed in hearing laboratory. ITX-Saemaeul and Mugunghwa were chosen as the noise sources of the test, and announcement sound was included to simulate real situation. Logistic regression analysis produced %HALAB curve. Hosmer-Lemeshow test and classification accuracy test were used to verify the model's statistical significance. It was shown that the model which was generated from relatively small number of samples is statistically significant.

정신장애자의 형사책임능력 판단과 정신감정 (The Judgment of Criminal Liability and Psychiatric Evaluation for Mentally Defective Person)

  • 우리나라 형법 제10조 제1항에서는 "심신장애로 인하여 사물을 변별할 능력이 없거나 의사를 결정할 능력이 없는 자의 행위는 벌하지 아니한다"라고 규정하고 있다. 따라서 정신장애자가 행위 시에 책임능력이 결여되었다고 판정되면 형사처벌을 할 수 없다. 정신장애자에 대한 책임능력의 판단 문제는 형법학과 정신의학이 교차하는 영역에 존재한다. 정신장애로 인한 책임능력의 존부에 대해서는 최종적으로 법원이 판단하게 되지만 생물학적 요소인 정신장애에 대한 판단은 정신의학적 지식이 필요하고 이에 의존하는 것이 당연하다. 특히 국민참여재판의 시행으로 정신장애자의 정신감정 절차와 내용에서 변화가 요구된다. 일반시민들로 구성된 배심원이 재판의 심리에 참가하게 되므로 배심원이 정신감정의 결과를 이해하고 판단할 수 있도록 더욱 정확한 정신감정과 결과를 제출하는 절차의 개선이 필요하다. 형사사법절차에서 정확한 정신감정결과를 담보하기 위해서는 형사사법과 사법정신의학에 관한 일정한 교육프로그램을 이수한 정신과 의사 또는 심리학자로 구성되는 인력-풀을 구축하고, 인력-풀에 소속된 감정인을 선정하여 정신감정을 실시하는 것이 바람직하다. 나아가 국민참여재판에서 일반시민으로 구성되는 배심원의 비전문성을 고려해야 하므로 알기 쉬운 정신감정서의 작성과 제출이 요구된다. 정신장애 여부에 관한 배심원의 공정한 평결을 위해서는 정신감정서의 신속한 제출과 중요한 내용을 요약한 정신감성서의 제출, 배심원이 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 정신감정서의 작성이 필요하다.

Clinical Relevance of Mobile Phone Interference with Electroretinography in Healthy Dogs: Experimental Study

  • This study aimed to confirm the effects that the mobile phone has on Electroretinogram (ERG). The ERG responses of three groups of healthy dogs, five in each group, were studied. ERG test was performed consecutively before and after the mobile phone was carried out. For group A, music was played with the sound on; for group B, music was played but the sound off; and for group C, the phone was set on the airplane mode. In the presence of a mobile phone, the amplitudes of a- and b-wave were increased in all groups. The a- and b-wave amplitudes at the flash intensity of 3,000 mcd·s/㎡ were significantly increased in all groups (p < 0.05). Based on the results, it is recommended to conduct ERG test in the absence of a mobile phone for the accurate evaluation of the retinal function.

  • This research presents a laboratory study about difference of subjective response between with and without pictures. A main source is impulsive sound caused by leisure shooting. The sources are sampled from outdoor noise and their levels range from 40 to 75 dB at the interval of 5dB. The noise unit is based on A-weighted sound exposure level (ASEL; $L_{AE}$). To make equal ASEL of outdoor noise, finite impulse response (FIR) filter is applied to the originally sampled source to include the effect of distance attenuation. The evaluation method of the jury test adopted a Semantic Difference(SD) Method. The intersection point which two lines crossed was used as reference point. The intersecting point of mean response rating between with and without pictures was approximately 44ASEL and that of %HA was about 60ASEL. In the result of the test, the negative effect of pictures was given at a lower levels than intersection point while the positive effect was given at a higher levels than that.

승용차의 고급감 음질에 대한 연구 (Research for High Sound Quality for a Passenger Car)

  • Future luxury car must satisfy the improvement of the luxury sound quality on the vehicle interior noise. Previously, we have analyzed vehicle interior noise by dB(A) based analysis. However, dB(A) has very little to do with the psychological satisfaction of the consumers. People want a sound that is characteristic and refined not a sound that is quiet and common. Subjective test were conducted to determine the relationship between subject' s responses and calculated metric values. People choose the most luxury sound among the various vehicle interior noise. And the purpose of this study is that we understand the metrics which constitute the luxury vehicle sound. We have analyzed vehicle interior noise by using the statistical analysis such as multiple regression method and correlation method. And we organized the index of the luxury sound quality.

충격성 소음에 대한 주관적 반응 - 건설공사장 소음을 중심으로 - (The Subjective Response for Impulsive Sound - Focusing on the Construction Noise -)

  • This research presents a laboratory study on subjective response of impulsive sound caused by construction site (breaker and blasting). The sources are sampled from outdoor noise and their levels range from 40 to 75 dBA at the interval of 5 dBA. The noise unit is based on A-weighted sound exposure level(ASEL; $L_{AE}$). To make equal ASEL of listening level, finite impulse response(FIR) filter is applied to the originally sampled source to include the effect of propagation attenuation. Sixty-three subjects, forty-two males and twenty-one female, between 18 and 29 years of age, participated in the experiment. The evaluation method of jury test adopted a semantic difference method(SDM). In the test results for impulsive noise, the subjective response of blasting noise was higher than that of breaker noise. The result of %HA that has been combined responses of the three methods except for pink-noise was executed by regression analysis and was shown as the following equation.: $%HA=746.53/(1+{\exp} (L_{AE}-93.3))+0.34$.

  • There are various sounds in the car as much as cats have many mechanical parts. These sounds make various sound qualities. The international competition in car markets has continuously required the research about the sound quality of a car. The domestic carmakers have also invested a lot of money for the research and development of sound quality. Car axle plays an important role in a vehicle and its NVH development is also important. By this time, NVH development of car axle is mainly based on the reduction of sound pressure level(dBA), which cannot gives, the satisfaction to the customers in view of the sound quality of a vehicle. Therefore, in this project, a sound quality index evaluating the sound quality of axle noise based on human sensibility is developed and applied to the development of the sound quality of axle noise

  • This paper presents the psychoacoustic analyses on the vehicle interior, noise generated when accelerating. Following the objective quantification for vehicle noises of different classes, the subjective decision process by the jury test is adopted to interrelate these results based on two different approaches. In particular, the paired comparison method is employed in assessing the sound quality in terms of the quietness, the powerfulness, and the pleasantness of the human auditory sensation. Special attention is paid to the physical interpretation of psychoacoutic parameters and their interrelation to the subjective assessment scores. In order to ensure the integrity of statistics of the survey, various tests are performed. The results show that the consistency of the "quiet" sensation is far higher than that of the "powerful" and the "pleasant" sensations. Also, it is found that the most significant parameter determining these feelings turns out to be the inherent loudness of the noise instead of the conventional indicators such as the weighted sound pressure level. It may be concluded that the psychoacoustic analysis offers more realistic evaluation for vehicle noise and assists the improvement of NVH more efficiently.ement of NVH more efficiently.

  • In this study, there is an investigation about the sound quality of automotive horn that attached to luxury sedans. In order to define a questionnaire of horn sound quality the factor analysis is conducted. Ten automotive horns are selected for this research and ten passenger cars(nine is luxury sedan and one economy class car). Luxury is used for the questionnaire as an attribute for the sound quality of car horn. The interior noises for ten test cars are recorded and used for the subjective analysis of car horn sound. In the paper, new sound metric for the car horn sound is presented. The new sound metric is used for the objective sound index for the prediction of subjective sound quality of car horn.

  • The purpose of this study is that developing the index which evaluate sound quality of door latch and improving its sound quality through that results. For that, various operating sound of door latch was used for jury test. Loudness and sharpness related metrics are dominant in sound quality index we developed. This research investigate the main transfer path of its operating sound through sound field visualization and get conclusion that could reduce the impact sound of door latch. Therefore, we could verify sound quality improvement of modified product by using sound quality index.
