확산과 삼투 개념에 관한 학생들의 이해도 및 오개념의 원인으로서의 교과서 분석 (Survey on Students' Understanding of the Concepts of Diffusion and Osmosis and Analysis of Textbooks as Sources of Misconceptions)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the misconceptions and the understanding of students on diffusion and osmosis, and to examine the shifts in concept development that result from maturation and additional instruction. In addition, the textbooks were assessed for the sources of the misconceptions. The subjects of this study were 195 students in middle school, 191 students in high school and 195 students in university in Seoul. And the multiple-choice test developed by Odom and Barrow(1995) was used. The results were analyzed by two-way ANOVA in the statistical packages SAS. The major findings of this study are as follows. 1. The mean score of the understanding on the concepts of diffusion and osmosis of junior high school students was 31, that of high school students was 51 and that of university students was 67. In this study, the higher grade students got the higher scores, and it showed significant difference(p<0.01). 2. The mean score of girls was higher than that of boys in all grades. And the difference of the score according to gender showed great difference in high school(p<0.01). 3. An analysis of the patterns of misconceptions about diffusion and osmosis indicated that certain misconceptions prevail across grade levels. 4. An analysis of the contents of textbooks indicated that textbooks may be the source of students' misconceptions about diffusion and osmosis.

서울시내 사춘기 여학생의 비만실태와 식이섭취양상 및 일반환경 요인과 비만과의 관계 (Prevalence of Obesity among Adolescent Girls in Seoul and its Relationship to Dietary Intakes and Environmental Factors)

  • The prevalence of obesity and its related factors in adolescent girls in Seoul area were investigated from April, 18 to June, 29 1985 bymeans of anthropometry, dietary intakes and general environmental factors. Nine hundred and sixty junior high school girls were selected and invterviewed for 24-hour food intakes. Weight, height, a 우 skinfold thickness(triceps, abdominal) were measured and information on the general backgroun of the subjects were obtained by questinnaire. Subjects were divided into six groups according to their relative weights. It was observed that majority of the parents were under fifty years old and had high school education . In general, father was older and higher in educational levels than mother. Two thirds of subjects lived in their own houses and had three to four siblings. AVerage weight and height of subjects were 46.0kg and 154.4cm, which were higher than Korean natianl average. Average relative weight was 29.75 and average Kaup index was 1.925. Skinfold thickness was 13.4mm fo rtricepts and 16.4mm for abdominal . Prevalence of obesity was 12.9% and 4.8% by criteria of relative weight and skinfold thickness. Average intakes of most of nutrients except iron were acceptable but about one third of the subjects had less than 2/3 of RDa for calcium, iron, vitamin A, and riboflavin. As a whole, prevalence of obesity in this study was higher than those observed in the past surveys. Relationship of dietary intakes and general environmental factors that seemed to influence the obesity were integrated as such. As parents educational levels were higher, it tended to be higher in living standard and have fewer family members and siblings. These may influence more nutrient intakes so that fatness of the subjects seemed to be greater. In the meantime, parents fatness was closely related to those of children indicating an involvement of genetic factors. And also, food habits of individuals such as frequency of snack and bedtime snack were related to fatness significantly.

농아학원생(聾啞學院生)의 영양상태(營養狀態)와 체위발달도(體位發達度)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (The Study for the Development of Physical Standard and State of Nutrition of a Deaf & Dumb School Boys & Girls)

  • 1. 농아자(聾啞者)들의 영양상태(營養狀態)를 Hb량(量)으로 측정(測定)하여 서로 비교한 결과(結果) 정박아(精薄兒)와 원아(園兒)보다는 Hb량(量)이 많으므로 영양상태(營養狀態)가 양호(良好)하다고 볼 수 있으나 일반가정아(一般家庭兒)(Hb=10.8g/100ml)와 체육중학생(體育中學生)(Hb=12.7)보다는 저조(低調)한 실정(實情)이다. 2. 체위(體位)의 발달도(發達度)는 $6{\sim}11$ 세군(歲群)(국교생층(國校生層))에서 신장(身長)과 흉위(胸圍) 및 체중(體重)이 공(共)히 농아자(聾啞者)와 가정아(家庭兒)의 발육치(發育値)가 거의 비슷하였고 또 우리 나라 표준치(標準値)보다는 약간 우세(優勢)하게 보였다. 그러나 정박아(精薄兒)와 원아(園兒)의 발육치(發育値)는 오히려 전자(前者)와는 반대로 표준치(標準値)에 가까운 수치(數値)로서 열세(劣勢)한 발육도(發育度)인 듯하다. $12{\sim}15$세군(歲群)(중학생(中學生))에서는 원아(園兒)<정박아(精薄兒)<농아자(聾啞者)<표준치(標準値)<가정아(家庭兒)<체육중학생(體育中學生)의 순(順)으로 발달도(發達度)가 보육원(保育園)의 것이 가장 저조하고 체육중학생(體育中學生)의 발달도(發達度)가 가장 높은 것으로 보아서 이들 농아(聾啞)의 과거(過去($6{\;sim}11$세기(歲期))의 영양상태(營養狀態)가 불량(不良)했던 것이 아닌가 생각된다. 3. 혈청(血淸)으로써 판명(判明)된 혈액형(血液型)의 분포율(分布率)은 정박아(精薄兒)(O : 34.2%, A : 27.4%, B : 32.5%, AB : 6%)가 우리 나라 평균분포율(平均分布率)(O : 25%, A : 35%, B : 34%, AB : 6%)과 다른 것처럼 농아자(聾啞者)의 혈액형(血液型)의 분포율(分布率)도 크게 달랐다(O : 15%, A : 30.7%, B : 30.7%, AB : 23.6%). 따라서 농아자(聾啞者)들은 어떤 혈액형(血液型)에 편재(偏在)됨이 없이 어느 혈액형(血液型)에서도 나올 수 있다는 것을 의미한다고 생각할 수 있다. 결론적(結論的)으로 농아자(聾啞者)들은 어느 혈액형(血液型)에서든지 출현도(出現度)가 비슷하게 나타난 것을 볼 수 있고 Hb량(量)이 적은 것으로 고찰(考察)할 때 농아자(聾啞者)는 유전성(遺傳性)이라기 보다는 오히려 후천성(後天性)에서 유래(由來)하는 예(例)가 많은 것이 아닌가 생각된다. 뿐만 아니라 체위(體位)의 발달도(發達度)가 가정아(家庭兒)와 비슷한 것으로 보아서 후천성(後天性)을 뒷받침하는 것으로 추측(推測)되므로, 보다 나은 신체(身體)의 발달(發達)을 도모(圖謀)하고 청력(聽力)을 현상태(現狀態)보다 향상(向上)시키기 위해서라도 농아학교(聾啞學校) 운영자(運營者)는 영양상태(營養管理)에 더 많은 관심(關心)이 있어야 할 것이며 보다 정확(正確)한 판단(判斷)을 하려면 더 많은 sampling이 필요하다고 생각된다.

초·중·고등학생의 인공지능 윤리의식의 성차 분석 (An Analysis of Gender Differences in Primary, Middle and High School Students' Artificial Intelligence Ethics Awareness)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 인공지능 윤리의식에 대한 초등학교, 중학교, 고등학교 학생들의 성차를 분석하는 것이다. 과연 인공지능 윤리의식에 성차가 존재하는지, 존재한다면 언제부터 성차가 발생하는지를 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 본 연구는 I 광역시 초등학생 198명(여학생 98명, 남학생 100명), 중학생 265명(여학생 166명, 남학생 99명), 고등학생 114명(여학생 58명, 남학생 56명)을 대상으로 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전체 남학생과 여학생 사이의 인공지능 윤리의식의 성차가 확인되었다. 둘째, 인공지능 윤리의식의 성차는 초등학교에서 중학교, 고등학교로 학령이 높아질수록 확고해지는 경향이 있었다. 셋째, 초등학생, 중학생, 고등학생 모든 단계에서 여학생은 아직 인공지능에 대한 신뢰성이 그리 높지 않고, 차별 금지에 대한 우려가 남학생에 비해 크며, 예술 등의 분야에서 인공지능의 인간 영역에의 진입 허용에 대해 부정적인 입장을 가지고 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 넷째, 학령과 성별의 상호 작용 효과는 안정성 및 신뢰성, 그리고 허용과 한계 범주에서 확인되었다. 이러한 결과들을 종합해 볼 때, 인공지능 교육 활동시 인공지능 윤리의식에 성차가 생기지 않도록 교육 프로그램을 양성 평등적으로 접근하는 교육적 방안이 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

Sexual Intercourse and Its Correlates Among School-aged Adolescents in Indonesia: Analysis of the 2015 Global School-based Health Survey

  • Objectives: This study aimed to determine the prevalence and correlates of sexual intercourse among junior secondary and high school students in Indonesia from the 2015 Global School-based Health Survey (GSHS). Methods: The survey was conducted among 11 110 students from 75 schools in Indonesia using a self-administered questionnaire. Univariate and multivariate analyses were conducted to explore associations between sexual intercourse and socio-demographic variables, substance use, mental distress, and protective factors. Results: Overall, 5.3% of students reported having ever had sex (6.9% of boys and 3.8% of girls). Of students who engaged in sexual intercourse, 72.7% of boys and 90.3% of girls had an early sexual debut (before reaching the age of 15) and around 60% had multiple sex partners. Sexual intercourse was associated with gender, school grade, smoking, alcohol consumption, drug use, suicidal ideation, truancy, peer support, and parental supervision. Conclusions: These findings indicate a pressing need to develop more comprehensive sexual health education in the national curriculum. An effective strategy should also address other risky behaviours.

서울지역 일부 중학생의 성장발육 및 영양상태 (Nutritional Status of Junior High School Students)

  • In the Health Promotion Law proclaimed on January 1995, nutritional improvement at national level was emphasized and designated as one of the jobs to be carried out by local governmnets. With such a situational necessity, we conducted a dietary survey along with an anthropometric measurement, biochemical assessment and questionnaire analysis on general characteristics of the students from 3 junior higher schools in Seoul area. About 300 students had participated in the study and the data from only 139 students, 28 boys and 111 girls, with complete report of dietary intake were subjected to analysis, comparison and discussion. Fasting blood samples were drawn and analyzed for hemoglobin, hematocrit and total cholesterol. Dietary intake was monitored by 1-day 24hr recall +2-day food record. In general, the average intake of nutrients for most of the subjects were above RDA for korean of that age except for 2 nutrients namely, vitamin A and calcium, of which average intake corresponded to 46-69% of RDA. In addition to this kind of nutritional imbalance, there were several other factors of nutritional problems such as skipping breakfast, overeating at dinner and frequent eating of snacks. As the best countermeasure for these kinds of nutritional problems, more detailed campaign and prractical nutrition education for these adolescents are necessary. Only through proper education and guidance for them, the healthy and intellectual man power could be guaranteed for the forthcoming 21st century.

과학 관련 태도의 성차와 관련된 사회적 요인 분석 (Analysis of Social Factors Affecting Gender Differences in Science-Related Attitudes)

  • 이 연구는 남학생과 여학생의 과학 관련 태도와 그에 영향을 주는 요인을 조사하여 과학 영역의 성차를 조사하였다. 과학 관련 태도 검사지(TOSRA)와 이에 영향을 주는 변인으로 학교, 교사, 친구, 부모 네 가지 요인에 대하여 개발한 검사지를 13개 학교에 투입하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 남학생과 여학생의 과학에 대한 태도의 차이는 없었으나 과학에 대한 태도가 남학생은 부모에게 영향을 많이 받고 여학생은 교사와 친구에게서 영향을 많이 받는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 현재 과학에 대한 태도의 성차를 발생시키는 요인이 남학생과 여학생에서 다르다는 것을 말해 준다. 과학 영역의 전반적인 성차를 줄이기 위해서는 부모와 교사 등 학생들의 과학에 대한 태도에 영향을 주는 요인들을 자극하는 프로그램이 뒷받침 되어야 한다.

  • This study was designed to observe the nutritional knowledge, dietary life, and health condition in the middle school students. The subjects of this study were sampled out from co-ed middle schools in Seoul. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. The subjects take breakfast everyday by 50.4%, and their lunch depends very largely upon a lunch box by 95.2%. They take supper every evening by 79.0%. 2. The nutritional knowledge of subjects exhibits a significant difference by sex and region 3. The physical health condition of students exhibits a significant difference by sex and grade. 4. The mental health condition of students also exhibits a significant difference by sex, grade, and region. The school is required to endeavour for the student to have a correct understanding of nutritional knowledge form good dietary life. The government also should exert incessant efforts for school meal supply for their balanced nutrition.

청소년 남.녀의 체형관련변인의 발육달성율에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Attainment Rate of Growth for Somatotype Related Variables in Boys and Girls)

  • 청소년 남 녀의 채형관련 변인의 연령증가에 따른 발육 달성율의 변화양상을 분석 평가 하였다. 4개부위의 피하지방후 합은 $12{\sim}14$세를 제외한 전연령구간에서 여자가 남자보다 유의하게 높았으며, 13세를 분기점으로 성차가 커지는 경향을 보였다. 골의 상완골폭은 $13{\sim}15$세를 제외한 전연령구간에서 남자가 여자에 비해 높았으며, 15세를 분기점으로 성차가 컸다. 대퇴골폭은 전연령구간에서 남자가 여자보다. 유의하게 높았으며, 연령이 증가할수록 성차가 약간씩 커지는 경향이었다. 근육의 상완이두근최대위는 7세를 제외한 전연령구간에서 남자가 여자보다. 유의하게 높았으며, 15세를 분기점으로 성차가 점차가 커졌으며, 하퇴대위는 남 녀 모두 연령이 증가할수록 높아지는 경향을 나타내고, $10{\sim}15$세에는 여자가 남자보다 높았다가 16세 이후 남자가 높아지는 교차현상을 나타내었다. 체형의 내배엽성요소는 $10{\sim}11$세를 제외한 전연령구간에 서 여자가 남자보다 높은 반면, 중배엽성요소는 15세를 제외한 전연령구간에서 남자가 여자보다 높았고, 외배엽성요소는 $8{\sim}12$세에 여자가 남자보다 높았다가 13세 이후 남자가 높아지는 교차현상을 보였다. 종합적으로 청소년 남 녀의 체형관련 변인에서 지방조직의 발육정도는 여자가 남자를 앞서며, 근과 골의 발육정도는 남자가 여자보다 높았다.

서울지역 고등학생들의 외식서비스 특성에 대한 중요인지도와 수행만족도 비교 (Importance-performance Analysis of High School Students in Seoul towards Restaurant Service Attributes)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare high-school students importance and performance toward restaurant service attributes for the marketing strategy development. Specific objectives were to: a) investigate restaurant patronage characteristics of high school students; b) identify the difference of patronage behavior among three types of restaurants; and c) analyze the importance and performance among three types of restaurants. A questionnaire was developed and hand-delivered to 400 students enrolled 9th grade in 4 different high schools in Seoul. A total of 320 students (80%) was responded to this study. The questionnaire was composed of two parts with 47 restaurant service attribute statements. Results of this study were as follows: 1. A total of 57% was female and 61% of respondents spent less than ₩5,000 per week on eating out. 2. The frequency of visiting the low-priced restaurant was 8.9 times per week. 3. Reasons for being a patronage to low- (${\geq}$₩2,000) and mid-priced ( <₩2,000 and ${\geq}$₩5,000) restaurants were hunger, appointment, and seeking favorites with freinds but the reason for high-priced (<₩5,000) restaurants was celebrating special days with parents. 4. The main source of information for selecting restaurants was family and friends, T.V. advertising, and bulletin board. 5. For the low-priced restaurants, food, hygiene, price, and location were rated as important; location, price, menu, and food were rated as satisfied. 6. For the mid-priced restaurants, hygiene, food, price, and menu were rated as important; food, hygiene, service, and menu were rated as satisfied. 7. For the high-priced restaurants, hygiene, food, and atmosphere were rated as important; food, hygiene, atmosphere, and menu were as satisfied. 8. According to paired t-test, the score gap between importance and performance was the highest in the hygiene attribute; differences were high with the low-priced and low with high-priced restaurants.
