Fundamental Properties of Pavement Concrete Containing Mineral Admixtures (광물질 혼화재를 혼입한 포장콘크리트의 기초물성)

  • This study deal with the effects of ground granulated blast furnace slag (SG) and silica fume (SF) on the mechanical characteristics of pavement concrete made with ordinary portland cement and regulated set cement. Compressive and flexural strengths as well as unit weight of concretes were monitored. From a result of the study, it was found that the SG was effective for development of flexural strength of concretes, but not for development of compressive strength. However, it must be noted that the present study is limited only to the data by the age of 28 days. More data at long-term age should be accumulated for reliability.

  • This paper describes a new S-PVA cell structure which achieves enhanced contrast ratio by adopting a step-like patterned common electrode between the high sub-pixel and low sub-pixel electrodes without loss of transmittance. A 24-inch panel was developed for monitor applications and measured contrast ratio and white luminance were over 2500:1 and 400cd/m2, respectively.

  • This paper studies the operating characteristics of the high voltage flyback converter including the resonant elements. The detailed mode analysis and the design procedure are presented in designing a high voltage flyback converter. To verify and to confirm the validities of the presented analysis and design procedure, the computer simulation and the experiments have been performed.

  • 반도체와 네트워크 기술의 발전은 산업분야에서의 각종 컴퓨팅 환경을 독립형 시스템에서 네트워크 시스템으로 변화시키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템 기반 산업용 계측 및 진단 시스템을 네트워크 환경하에서 보다 능동적으로 상호 작용하기 위한 미들웨어 수준의 임베디드 시스템 실행환경을 구성하고, 시스템 플랫폼으로는 자바를 사용한다. 자바 임베디드 기반 계측 및 진단 네트워크 미들웨어 시스템은 각 대상기기들의 고유작업들을 처리할 뿐만 아니라 이들 대상기기간의 계측 및 진단 정보를 서로 공유함으로써 보다 다양한 상황에 유연하게 대처하고, 효율적인 시스템 관리를 위한 능동 계측 진단 미들웨어 시스템 실행환경을 구성하고자 한다.

  • One dimensional (1D) nanostructures, including nanowires, nanorods, nanobelts, and nanotubes, have been the focus of current research on nanotechnology because of their fundamental significance in chemistry, physics, materials science and engineering, and potential applications in nanoelectronics. We have synthesized Te-rich $Sb_xTe_{1-x}$ nanowires and nanotubes via thermal evaporation method under vapor-solid mechanism. The physical morphology and chemical composition of the fabricated nanowires and nanotubes were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX).

  • In a general way, Current scaling DACs are used in wireless communication systems. But there are degradations of important factors because of mismatch of current source corresponding to high resolution. To solve the problem, Calibration methods are researched lately. Mismatch of current source is corrected by Calibration method and then corrected current values are delivered to Core DAC. As a results, Degradations of important factors that produced by increment of non-linearity are suppressed by calibration method.

  • We propose a new motion vector skip coding method for better motion compensation-based coding of inter-slices in H.264/AVC. It is to best utilize the spatial correlation between motion vectors of adjacent 4x4 blocks by effective motion vector coding. For this purpose, we introduce a new macroblock type of Predictive (P) slice into those of the H.264/AVC, so that it can lead to reduction in the coding bits required for encoding motion information. Experimental results with several well-known test video sequences verify that better performance of the proposed method is obtained.

  • In this paper we propose an input/output model based fault diagnosis method to detect and isolate single faults in the robot arm control system. The proposed algorithm is functionally composed of three main parts-parameter estimation, fault detection, and isolation, When a change in the system occurs, the errors between the system output and the estimated output cross a predetermined threshold, and once a fault in the system is detected, and in this zone the estimated parameters are transferred to the fault classifier by ART2(adaptive resonance theory 2) neural network for fault isolation. Since ART2 neural network is an unsupervised neural network fault classifier does not require the knowledge of all possible faults to isolate the faults occurred in the system.
