Wireless power transmission (WPT) for wireless charging is currently attracting much attention as a promising approach to miniaturize batteries and increase the maximum total range of an electric vehicle. The main advantage of the laser power beam (LPB) approach is its high power transmission efficiency (PTE) over long distance. In this paper, we present the design of a laser power beam based WPT system, which has a best WPT channel selection technique at the receiver end when multiple power transmitters and single power receiver are operated simultaneously. The transmitters send their transmission channel information via optically modulated laser pulses. The receiver uses the received signal strength indicator and digitized data to choose an optimum power transmission path. We modeled a vertical multi-junction photovoltaic cell array, and conducted an experiment and simulation to test the feasibility of this system. From the experimental result, the standard deviation between the mathematical model and the measured values of normalized energy distribution is 0.0052. The error between the mathematical model and measured values are acceptable, thus the validity of the model is verified.

In case of rectangular latticed pattern which shearing rigidity is very small, it has a concern to drop Buckling-strength considerably by external force. So, by means of system to increase buckling-strength, there is a method of construction that lattice of dome is reinforced by braced member. In a case like this, shearing rigidity of braced member increase buckling-strength of the whole of structure and can be designed economically from the viewpoint of practice. Therefore, this paper is aimed at investigating how much does rigidity of braced member united with latticed member bearing principal stress of dome increase buckling-strength of the whole of structure. the subject of study is rectangular latticed domes that are a set of 2-way lattice dome which grid is simple and number of member gathering at junction is small. Analysis method is based on FEM dealing with the geometrically nonlinear deflection problems.
In general, acid rain is unbuffered solution with low ionic strength and high resistance. Therefore during the pH measurement of acid rain, error can be occurred due to the liquid junction potential difference between the sample and the standard solution. Actually the average conductivity of rain in Taeduk Science Town during 1998 is 12.8 ${\mu}S/cm$, while that of pH standmd solutions is about 5,980 ${\mu}S/cm$. There is a large difference in ionic strength. To compensate the bias due to residual liquid junction potentials, a quality control standard(QCS) of dilute sulfuric acid, which has the conductivity and pH values simikw to rain, was prepared. The pH of QCS solution was determined using the hydrogen electrode system without liquid junction, and compensation has been made for the bias terms by performing the pH measurements with glass electrode. On the basis of this compensation method, the pH vaiues of rain in Taeduk Science Town during 1998 were measured.

The material used in this study is dielectric and ferrite. Because of the unique characteristics of the material, it is easily exposed to external shocks and pressure, which cause damage to the product. However, after being processed under high-temperature environment repeatedly, the mechanical strength of the product is greatly increased due to the change of the electrical properties. In this paper, dielectric and bonded ferrite material was tested for the material properties. The equipment for this experiment was produced and tested to allow Cylindrical and Three-dimensional geometry of the product for the vacuum deposition. For Cylindrical shape of the product, in order to obtain the equivalent film thickness, the device is constructed in a vacuum chamber which gives arbitrary revolving and rotating capability. The electrical performance of the product is obtained through this process as well. However, as mentioned above, with repeating processes under high temperature and exposure to external environment, the product is easy to be broken. This experiment has enabled us to find out a stable condition to apply the communication of the RF high frequency to each of the core elements, such as Ferrite and Dielectric which is then used for the mechanical strength of the Raw material, hetero-junction material, Hetero-junction Ag Coating material and hetero-junction Ag Coating SiO2 Coating material respectively.
As a filler metal for lowering the melting point of Ag, many alloy metal candidates have emerged, such as cadmium, with zinc, manganese, nickel, and titanium as active metals. However, since cadmium is known to be harmful to the human body, Cd-free filler metals are now mainly used. Still, no study has been conducted comparing the characteristics of joints prepared with and without cadmium. In addition, studies have yet to be conducted comparing the typical characteristics of brazing filler metals with special structures, and the joint characteristics of brazing filler metals with available frames. In this study, the characteristics of junctions of silver-based intercalation metals were compared based on the type of filler metal additives, using a special structure, a filler metal sandwich structure, to protect the internal base metal. The general filler metal was compared using the structure, and the thickness of the filler metal according to the thickness was reached. A comparison of the characteristics of the junction was conducted to identify the characteristics of an intersection of silver-based brazing filler metal and the effect on joint strength. Each filler metal's collective tensile strength was measured, and the relationship between joint characteristics and tensile joint strength was explored. The junction was estimated through micro strength measurement, contact angle measurement with the base metal when the filler metal was melted, XRD image observation, composition analysis for each phase through SEM-EDS, and microstructure phase acquisition.

A general stiffener element which includes transverse shear deformation(TSD) is formulated using the p-version of finite element method. Hierarchic C"-shape functions, derived from Integrals of Legendre polynomials, are used to define the assembled stiffness matrix of the stiffener and plate on the basis of 5 D.0.F displacement fields. The stiffness matrix for the stiffener with respect to the local reference frame is transformed to the plate reference system by applying the appropriate transformation matrices in order to insure compatibility of displacements at the junction of the stiffener and plate. The transformation matrices which account for the orientation and the eccentricity effects of the stiffener with respect to the plate reference axes are used to find local behavior at the junction of the stiffener and the relative contributions of the plate and stiffener to the strength of the composite system. The results obtained by the p-version of the finite element method are compared with the results in literatures, especially those by the h-version software, MICROFEAP-II.P-II.

The present study deals with the optimization of the leading edge shape around a wing-body junction to minimize the strength of the horseshoe vortex, which is one of the main factor generating the secondary flow losses. For this purpose, approximate optimization method is used for the optimization. The study is performed by using $FLUENT^{TM}$ and $iSIGHT^{TM}$. The total pressure coefficient for the optimized model was decreased about 9.79% compared with the baseline model.

This paper presents the tensile behavior of a Concrete-Filled Square Steel Tubular (CFT) column to H-beam welded connections. These connections were externally reinforced with T-shaped stiffeners at the junction of CFT column and beam. The tensile loading tests of eighteen tee-joint connections and finite element analysis using ANSYS were carried out. The main parameters of tests are as follows: 1) the thickness of Square Steel Tubular Column : 6 mm, 9 mm, 2) the strength ratios of tensile strength of horizontal stiffeners to tensile strength of beam flange : 70 %, 100 %, 150 %, 3) the strength ratios of shear strength of vertical stiffeners to tensile strength of beam flange : 80 %, 115 %, 160 %. The results of the tests demonstrate that overall behavior and failure modes of all the specimens are governed mainly by the horizontal stiffeners rather than the vertical stiffeners, and the vertical stiffener played only a role in transferring load introduced from beam to column.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate interaction of restorative method according to amount of remaining clinical crown length. For the study, sixty healthy mandibular premolars with no dental caries were chosen. Specimens with clinical crown length of 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm above the cemento-enamel junction(CEJ) were prepared and root canal treatment was conducted using Ni-Ti rotaty files. Thirty specimens were restored with $LuxaCore^{(R)}$ and thirty were restored with casting posts. All specimens were restored with full coverage crowns and the fracture strength was teseted with the MTS universal testing marchine. The fracture pattern was observed by measuring the distance between CEJ and fracture line. From the results above, the fracture strength seems to be influenced more by amount of remaining clinical crown length than restorative method. Good prognosis could be expected, when more than 2mm of clinical crown length is retained. In the future, the further studies on restorative method, to increase fracture strength of teeth will be necessary.
