  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of rope-jumping to music with weight loading on middle school girls' blood lipid and growth hormone. Toward this end, the study targeted 24 middle school girls at Y Girls' Middle School in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, who have no health problems or exercise experience, after sufficiently explaining to them the study's purpose. The selected students were categorized into a music rope-jumping group (8), a music rope-jumping group with weight loading (8), and a control group (8). In a comparison of blood lipid within the exercise groups showed that the music rope-jumping groups' measures changed significantly by demonstrating increases or decreases in RBC, T-C, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C (p<0.05). The music rope-jumping group with weight loading showed significant differences in WBC, RBC, glucose, T-C, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C by demonstrating increases of decreases (p<0.05). A comparison between the exercise groups revealed that the music rope-jumping group showed significant increases in growth hormone (p<0.05). The music rope-jumping group with weight loading also showed significant increases in growth hormone (p<0.05). The study's results identified music jump-roping with weight loading to effect students' blood lipids and growth hormone.

  • The aim of the study was to select traits that may constitute a prospective criterion for breeding value prediction of young horses. The results of 1,232 starts of 894 four-, five-, six-, and seven-year-old horses, obtained during jumping championships for young horses which had not been evaluated in, alternative to championships, training centres were analyed. Nine traits were chosen of those recorded: ranking in the championship, elimination (y/n), conformation, rating of style on day one, two, and three, and penalty points on day one, two, and three of a championship. (Co)variance components were estimated via the Gibbs sampling procedure and adequate (co)variance component ratios were calculated. Statistical classifications were trait dependent but all fitted random additive genetic and permanent environment effects. It was found that such characteristics as penalty points and jumping style are potential indicators of jumping ability, and the genetic variability of the traits was within the range of 14% to 27%. Given the low genetic correlations between the conformation and other results achieved on the parkour, the relevance of assessment of conformation in four-years-old horses has been questioned.

  • We investigate a relation between multiplicity of solutions and source terms of jumping problem in wave equation when the nonlinearity crosses an eigenvalue and the source term is generated by finite eigenfunctions. We also show that the jumping problem has infinitely many solutions when the source term is positive multiple of the positve eigenfunction.

  • We investigate the multiple solutions for a parabolic boundary value problem with jumping nonlinearity crossing no eigenvalues. We show the existence of the unique solution of the parabolic problem with Dirichlet boundary condition and periodic condition when jumping nonlinearity does not cross eigenvalues of the Laplace operator $-{\Delta}$. We prove this result by investigating the Lipschitz constant of the inverse compact operator of $D_t-{\Delta}$ and applying the contraction mapping principle.

  • We found that a droplet placed on a superhydrophobic surface jumps upward when we controlled the electrical wetting tension appropriately by applying AC voltage. We investigated how the surface deformation and jumping phenomenon of a droplet are affected by applied frequency under constant voltage. We found that a droplet jumps up continuously at a resonance frequency.

  • Impact sounds, such as those created by footsteps, the dropping of an object or the moving of furniture, can be a source of great annoyance In residential buildings. Running and jumping impact sound by child are one of the most irritating noises in an apartment buildings. It's necessary to know that the impact power characteristics of real impact source in an apartment buildings. This study aims to Investigate the impact power characteristics and impact power time of running and jumping by child. This study carried out investigation through the 159 children in school. The results of this study is that jumping impact power is greater than running impact power.

  • This paper presents deterministic, worst-case analysis of a queueing system whose multiple homogeneous input streams are regulated by the associated leaky buckets and the queueing system that has a single stream regulated by the jumping-window. Queueing delay averaged over all items is used for performance measure, and the worst-case input traffic and the worst-case performance are identified for both queueing systems. For the former queueing system, the analysis explores different phase relations among leaky-bucket token generations. This paper observes how the phase differences among the leaky buckets affect the worst-case queueing performance. Then, this paper relates the worst-case performance of the former queueing system with that of the latter (the single stream case, as in the aggregate streams from many users, whose item arrivals are regulated by one jumping-window). It is shown that the worst-case performance of the latter is identical to that of the former in which all leaky buckets have the same phase and have particular leaky bucket parameters.

  • We get one theorem which shows existence of solutions for one-dimensional jumping problem involving p-Laplacian and Dirichlet boundary condition. This theorem is that there exists at least one solution when nonlinearities crossing finite number of eigenvalues, exactly one solutions and no solution depending on the source term. We obtain these results by the eigenvalues and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions of the p-Laplacian eigenvalue problem when 1 < p < ${\infty}$, variational reduction method and Leray-Schauder degree theory when $2{\leq}$ p < ${\infty}$.
