An Analysis of Co-movement among Foreign Exchange of Korea, China and Japan with the Change on the Financial & Commerce Environment (금융통상환경 변화와 한중일 환율 동조화 분석)

  • This study conducts an analysis to verify an existence of co-movement among the exchange rates of Yuan-Dollar, Yen-Dollar and Won-Dollar by using time series data. An analysis period is divided into two periods. Therefore the first analysis period is from Dec. 17, 1997 to Jul. 21th. 20, 2005 and the second analysis period is from Jul. 25th, 2005 to Nov. 20th. 2009. This paper uses VAR model and daily data of exchange rates during the period. According to the result of an empirical analysis, yuan-dollar exchange rate has affected by th other variables ; yen-dollar exchange rate. It can be proved by result of an impulse response test and variance decomposition test in the second period. Therefore the won-dollar, yen-dollar, and Yen-dollar exchange rate has been influenced each other and the relationship will be maintained.

  • Game program manufacture had been classed by 3D or on-line game etc. simply. But, atomized game programmer's kind now. So, Artificial Intelligence game programmer's role is important. This paper used reinforcement learning algorithm for Jul_Gonu board characters to learn, and so they can move intelligently. To compare a learned character to an random one, a board game was created, and then they fought against each other. As a result, learned character‘s ability was far more improved.

A Case Report of Patient with Alcoholic Derogation Acute Abdominal Pain Using Oriental Medicine Combined with Conventional Treatment (한양방 협진 치료를 통해 호전을 보인 주상(酒傷)으로 인한 급성 복통 환자 1례)

  • Objective : This study was aimed to report a patient accompanied by alcoholic derogation acute abdominal pain treated with oriental medicine combined with conventional treatment. Methods : A 36 year old female patient complained of acute abdominal pain for one year from Apr. 2009. She had treated at local general hospital. But the symptom was not reduced. Instead, it was aggravated on Jul. 2010. The main symptoms were left flank pain, chest discomfort, nausea and anorexia. The patient was treated by oriental medicine (herbal medicine (Chunggan-plus), acupuncture, moxibustion, etc) combined with conventional medicine from Jul. 10th, 2010 to Jul. 17th, 2010. We observed the patient with evaluation of laboratory test and imaging scan. Results : Most of the symptoms of the patient were improved. Especially, the abdominal pain were disappeared from grade 3 to grade 0. No side effects were noted during treatment. Conclusion : This results suggest that the oriental medicine combined with western medicine may effective to treat alcoholic derogation acute abdominal pain.

An improvement of the learning speed through Improved Reinforcement Learning on Jul-Gonu Game (개선된 강화학습을 이용한 줄고누게임의 학습속도개선)

  • It takes quite amount of time to study a board game because there are many game characters and different stages are exist for board games. Also, the opponent is not just a single character that means it is not one on one game, but group vs. group. That is why strategy is needed, and therefore applying optimum learning is a must. This paper used reinforcement learning algorithm for board characters to learn, and so they can move intelligently. If there were equal result that both are considered to be best ones during the course of learning stage, Heuristic which utilizes learning of problem area of Jul-Gonu was used to improve the speed of learning. To compare a normal character to an improved one, a board game was created, and then they fought against each other. As a result, improved character's ability was far more improved on learning speed.

A Study on Typhoon-Disasers in the Korean Peninsula (한반도의 태풍피해에 관한 연구)

  • In order to study the disaster of typhoons which hit the Korean peninsula a period of 22 years from 1959 through 1980 was covered to collect necessary data with respect to attack of typhoons and their damage. Centering around the Korean peninsula, typhoons which attacked between 1959 and 1980 were grouped according to their treking routes and damage for detailed analyses. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The average annual damage of typhoons in the Korean peninsula was found to be 1.27 from June to September. The monthly distributions were found to be 53.6% in August, 28.6% in September and 14.2% in July. 2. About an half (56.4%) of the typhoons which hit the Korean peninsula passed through the western coast and 27.3% through the southern and 14.6% through the eastern. Typhoons of the we8tern coast were divided by their treking routes as 25.5% in CWE type (Jul., Aug., Sep.), 14.6% in WE type (Jul., Aug.), 16.3% in W type (Jul.). 3. The minimum SLP averaged 976.6mb and ordere:l by the treking routes as E$_1$$_1$ and CWE types are higher 20mb than S, E or WE types. 4. The Korean peninsula was damaged by all number of the typhoons in WE or S type, by a third at number of its in E or WE and WI type. 5. The annual probabilities of typhoon-disasters were 0.773 for once or more, 0. 409 for twice or more, and 0.091 for three times or more. Hearvy damage experienced in the Korean peninsula are found to have an annual. 6. Amount of the damage by the treking routes in ordered S>WE>CWE>E>W$_1$, and heavy storms experienced in the Xorean peninsula are found to have accompanied the WE and S types during the months of August and September. 7. The average annual damages were found to be 110 at the death-tall, 45, 000 at the sufferers and 10.5 billion at the property damage. 8. Seventy-sex percent of the all damage in the Korean peninsula distributed on the district from the 36th Parallel south and included Chie Ju island.

The Proximate and Fatty Acid Compositions of the Liver and Gonads of Commercial Common Squid Todarodes pacificus (시판 살오징어(Todarodes pacificus) 간장 및 생식소의 일반성분과 지방산 조성)

  • To evaluate the optimal time for extracting lipids from the viscera of the common squid Todarodes pacificus the proximate and fatty acid compositions of the liver and gonads of commercial squid were analyzed according to sex for 6 months (Jul. to Sept. and Nov. to Jan.). The body and liver weights of the squid were larger in females than in males, and were larger from Nov. to Jan. than from Jul. to Sept. in both sexes. The average lipid contents in the livers of female and male squid were also higher from Nov. to Jan (22.9% and 24.9%, respectively) than from Jul. to Sept. (11.7% and 17.5%, respectively). The average lipid contents of the ovaries and testes were 5.16% and 1.76%, respectively, and changed little over the 6 months. The percentage of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (eicosapentaenoic acid + docosahexaenoic acid) was higher in the gonads (44.8-49.1%) than in the liver (36.3-37.6%). These results suggest that Nov. to Jan. is the best time to extract lipids from the liver, whereas there was no difference in the efficacy of lipid extraction from the gonads between the two seasons.

Changes of Root Yield and Paeoniflorin Content affected by Harvesting Times in Peony(Paeonia lactiflora) (작약(芍藥) 수확시기(收獲時期)에 따른 수량(收量) 및 Paeoniflorin 함량(含量)의 변화(變化))

  • Changes of yield and paeoniflorin content according to chemical control and harvest time were investigated. Peonies were harvested after four years from planting. Disease and pest control method was applied normally in first year. From second year to forth year we set two blocks and controlled them differently. In one, peonies were withered early under non-control condition. In the other which was controlled by spraying chemicals four time a year, top part withering was delayed. Harvest was taken four times top part withering was delayed. Harvest was taken four times: Jul. 25, Aug. 25, Sep. 25, and Oct. 25. In non-chemical, at harvest of Jul. 25, paeoniflorin content was highest and dry root weight was 1,126kg/10a which was little less than 1,177kg/10a of Aug. 25. In chemical control, dry root yield of Oct. 25. showed an increase of 33% over that of Jul. But paeoniflorin content in root at Oct. was lower than at Jul. or Aug. For high qualities and harvest yields of peony root, chemical control is necessary to maintain top part to late in Oct.

  • This study look into the place-name change by social influence around Jin-An region. The place-names were made through joining natural environment with social condition. The place-names were born as a river name firstly, and it was selected as the artificial administration district name in this region(Ju-Chon, Jeong-Chon, An-Chon). Generally the place-name is reflected by a terrain feature of narrow area but this region's place name was made by wide river drainage area as a system. It is different point to others place-name and the social factor played more important role than natural environment in this process. The displacement process of mountain name which is from Ju-Jul to Un-Jang was through social situation change without the natural conditions change. It was used to the Ju-Jul firstly and coexistent the Ju-Jul with Un-Jang and only use the Un-Jang recently. Formal change period was 1910s in the map, Mt. Un-Jang(雲長山) had the advantage at the pronunciation and written than Mt. Ju-Jul. Mt. Gu-Bong(九峰山) was played important role for new mountain name and Song Ik-Pil(宋翼弼) was appeared for rationalization of Mt. Un-Jang.

Water Requirement of Maize According to Growth Stage (노지재배 옥수수의 생육시기별 물 요구량 구명)

  • Water is the most important resource for the maximum water use efficiency and yield of maize. Water has to be applied moderately based on the water requirement of maize. Crop water requirement (WR) is a function of the potential evapo-transpiration (PET) and crop coefficient (Kc). PET can be estimated by the climate data measured at the weather station in the production region. Kc was measured by the NIAST (RDA) through lysimeter experiments. In this study, the growth stage of maize was divided into five ones (G-1: Apr. 25 ~ May 20, G-2: May 21 ~ Jun. 20, G-3: Jun. 21 ~ Jul. 20, G4: Jul. 11 ~ Jul. 25, G5: Jul. 26 ~ Aug. 20). The average PET during maize growing season of the 45 areas was 2.85 mm $day^{-1}$. The highest water requirement was at the G-3 stage among the maize growth stages. The mean water requirement (MWR) according to growth stage was 1.74 ~ 2.42 (average 2.02), 2.99 ~ 4.21 (average 3.41), 3.82 ~ 5.25 (average 4.41), 3.05 ~ 4.31 (average 3.48), and 2.62 ~ 3.49 (average 3.01) mm $day^{-1}$ in the G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4 and G-5 stage, respectively. The total water requirement (TWR) according to growth stage was 45.37 ~ 63.04 (average 52.56), 92.54 ~ 130.59 (average 105.77), 76.46 ~ 105.09 (average 88.14), 45.73 ~ 64.67 (average 52.20), and 68.25 ~ 90.75 (average 78.33) mm in the G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4 and G-5 stage, respectively.
