Currently, the industry uses MODBUS communication method using RS485 as a communication method used when constructing distributed equipment and networks. However, this method has a rather good transmission and reception distance, but has a disadvantage of being a half-duplex communication method. Therefore, there is a great need for a full-duplex communication method that can simultaneously transmit and receive two-wire communications. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new communication hardware equipment that can implement full-duplex communication method by communication signal level to overcome the disadvantage of communication speed. The proposed communication hardware is a structure that can transmit and receive at the same time on the same communication line in two equipments communicating in a two-wire system. The characteristic of this communication hardware is that the transmitter generates two-level signal for data transmission, but the receiver generates three-level electric signal according to the status of the transmission data generated by the receiver. The data transmission signal information of the receiver is present at the same time. Therefore, the receiving side can analyze the received signal based on the information on the current transmission signal and can analyze the signal only in the two communicating devices, so it can be seen that the communication security is very excellent.

In this paper, we propose schemes of blockchain utilization in tactical communication environment. The military tactical communication environment has similar characteristics with blockchain network such as distributed architecture, decentralization, and the need for data integrity. A communication node constituting a tactical communication network is constituted by a system capable of configuring and connecting a network for each node. When a communication node, having such capabilities, is configured as a node of blockchain network, various functions could be performed. In this paper, we propose utilization schemes of authentication, integrity, record management, and privilege control based blockchain technology. Functions for authentication, integrity verification, and record management need to ensure the stored data and could track history. The requirement of function's characteristics are matched to blockchain which is storing data sequentially and difficult to hack data, so that it could perform functionally and sufficiently well. Functions for authority control should be able to assign different privileges according to the state of the requestor. Smart contract will function when certain conditions are satisfied and it will be able to perform its functions by using it. In this paper, we will look over functions and utilization schemes of blockchain technology which could reliably share and synchronize data in a tactical communication environment composed of distributed network environment.

Frequent occurrences of a fire cause tremendous loss of human lives and their property. Recently, in order to cope with such catastrophic accidents, researches on fire-fighting robots are carried out in developed countries. Under the dangerous situations, it is sometimes impossible for fire-fighting men to access the firing place because of explosive materials, smoke, high temperature and so on. In such an environment, fire-fighting robots can be useful to extinguish the fire. It is usually very dangerous place where fire-fighting robots operate. Hence, these robots should be controlled by remote users who are for away from the firing place exploiting remote communication systems. This paper considers the communication systems between fire-fighting robots and remote users. The communication systems consist of two parts; digital packet communication systems and analog image communication systems. Digital packet communication systems transfer data packets in order to control fire-fighting robots and to check the state of the fire-fighting robots. Remote users watch the video around the fire-fighting robots by exploiting the analog image communication systems. In the future, the more prosperous the commercial communication network systems will be, the more evolved the communication systems for fire-fighting robots are.

Most private and public organizations use, for their works, information systems that change their organizational structures. Nowadays, many organizations have team-based structures where typically a cross functional team is in charge of a business process. The effective communication among the members of a team is an important factor of team performance in that communication facilitates trust building, knowledge exchange, change acceptance, and safety improvement. This paper reviews methods for analyzing communication among team members from three aspects such as the content, the amount, and the structure of communication.

Purpose : This study aimed to investigate the effects of health science majors' communication skills on their adjustment to college life. Methods : The subjects were 336 college students majoring in health science at colleges located in Busan. The survey's questionnaire comprised 38 items, including 15 items for communication skills and 19 items for adjustment to college life. Results : In the gender-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, female students had better communication skills, with overall higher scores than male students for the understanding others and communication. In the age-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, students aged 21 to 22 showed the best communication skills, while students aged 18 to 20 exhibited the least communication skills. In terms of adjustment to college life, those aged 25 or older scored the highest, and those aged 21 to 22 scored the lowest. In the school-year-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, third- and first-year students showed the best and least communication skills, respectively. Overall, third- and fourth-year students were more adjusted at adjusting to college life than first- and second-year students. Third-year students also scored the highest in academic adjustment, whereas second-year students scored the lowest. In terms of relationships between the students' communication skills and their adjustment to college life, communication skills were positively correlated with the following subdomains: understanding of others, self-expression, and communication. Communication skills also showed a positive correlation with adjustment to the college environment, including personal-emotional adjustment. Conclusions : The present study found that communication skills did not significantly affect health science majors' adjustment to college life. However, given that communication skills are an essential factor for effective work performance and greater job satisfaction, it is recommended that colleges provide students with relevant education and experiences to help them enhance communication skills while in school.

Purpose: This research was done in order to provide basic data for future research on communication and development of programs. Research methods and key areas of previous nursing research on communication in Korea were analyzed. Method: Journals with themes or titles 'nurse-patient communication', 'nursing and communication' and 'interaction between nurse-patient' were searched through internet search engines. Results: The most prevalent research design was survey and nurses were the main participants. Questionnaire was the most frequently used method to obtain the necessary data for the research. The most frequent nursing research topic regarding communication in Korea was the form of the communications such as 'types of communication', and 'organizational communication'. Conclusion: For future nursing research regarding communications in Korea, the participants and themes should be broadened. There is also a need to develop objective methods to measure and assess the results of communication so as to enable actual application of the results of the studies.

Due to the difference between the underwater communication environment and the terrestrial communication environment, the radio communication mainly used on the ground cannot be used in underwater. For this reason, in the underwater communication environment, various communication media such as acoustic waves, infrared rays, light and so on has been studied, but there exist several difficulties in operating them individually due to their physical limitations. The concept for overcoming these difficulties is the very underwater multi-media communication, a method to select a communication medium best suitable for the current underwater environment among underwater communication multimedia whenever there occurs underwater communication failure. In this paper, we present an underwater multi-media communication network based on star topology and a fragmentation and reassembly technique to solve the problems caused by the different MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) sizes among different underwater communication media. We also present the estimations and analysis on processing times in each of fragmentation and reassembly and the total data amount for transmitting fragments in our proposed underwater multi-media communication network.

Diversity of available communication media has increased as the use of Internet and mobile technology increased rapidly. The traditional media tend to transform their roles and functionality. This change brings about the expansion of the span of media to be selected by users. In this study, we examined the characteristics of emerging communication media use based on Niche Theory. Online communication media in this study include Internet messenger, mobile phone, and e-mail. We also analyzed the relationship between the nature of task and the selection of communication media, that is, the effects of communication contexts(formal vs. informal, notification vs. request, superior vs. inferior) where by the communication partners are involved. The result of this study, mobile phone had the highest niche competitive superiority in all communication contexts, and internet messenger and e-mail made difference according to communication contexts. Also, we can notify internet messenger and e-mail have a mutual substitutive relationship by analysis of niche overlap.

The purpose of this study was to objectively explore and discuss the effect of trainer's communication style on rehabilitation ability and rehabilitation satisfaction of elite athletes. we observed the relationship between rehabilitation trainers and injured athletes and found that communication between them plays an important role. In this study, we criticized that most of the studies related to rehabilitation were conducted from the point of view of natural science. The results of this study emphasized that rehabilitation-related research should broadly accept social science positions such as business administration. The main research findings are as follows. As a result of analyzing the relationship between trainer's communication style and rehabilitation ability, first, the trainer's cooperative and professional communication style affects emotional factors of injured players. Second, the trainer's cooperative and controlled communication style affects the cognitive factors of injured players. Third, the trainer's cooperative and professional communication style affects the behavioral factors of injured players. Fourth, the trainer's cooperative and professional communication style affects the rehabilitation satisfaction of injured players. Based on these results, this study was conducted to validate the necessity of discussing the trainer's communication style preference according to the individual background such as the injured player's gender, personality, and injury level, and the classification and composition of communication styles that match Korean culture and sentiment. As suggestions for follow-up research, active sharing of problems with adjacent disciplines such as sports sociology, sports education, and sports marketing, and parallel qualitative research centered on individual cases were suggested

This study identifies communication patterns of groups using synchronous text communication medium for their group decision-making, and examines how these patterns are associated with creative solutions to problems. Our research suggests that certain communication behavior of groups, when appropriately organized, can be of help in enhancing creative production of outcomes. A qualitative study was conducted on communication patterns based on an analysis of text-based electronic conversation protocols. Specifically this research tried to overcome existing studies on electronic groups by focusing on interactive process of communication among participants. The major study conclusion; are: (1) The production of creative outcome may depend on the process or sequence of discussion among group members with synchronous text communication medium. That is, proper interactive responses and appropriate control of the discussion process are essential to obtain a high level of performance. (2) It is importantto make discuss rules based on meta-cognitive and interactive protocols in the early stage. Explicit rules relating to internal group processes as well as communication medium use are even more important to groups with electronic communication medium than face-to-face groups.
