We experienced a case of acquired benign bronchoesophageal fistula associated esophageal diverticulum which was treated successfully by division of ~stulous tract and esophageal diverticulectomy.Benign bronchoesophageal fistulas associated with esophageal diverticulum are very rare. This presentation is characterized by paroxysmal cough especially after drinking liquids and is easily diagnosed by esophagogram. We report a case with review of literatures.

Marfan syndrome which is complicated with spontaneous pneumothorax is a rare chance we can contact usually. There are many aspects of the clinical features in the Marfan syndrome such as ectopia lentis, cardiovascular anomalies, and skeletal anomalies. With the use of this paper, we report a rare case, Marfan syndrome complicated with spontaneous pneumothorax.

Primary intrathoracic liposarcomas are extremely rare tumors. 50 cases of mediastinal liposarcoma till 1977 have been recorded in the world literature, and 2 cases of pleural origin were reported in 1967. We report two cases, one is mediastinal origin and the other is pleural origin.

Thymic cyst is a relatively uncommon,usually asymptomatic benign lesion situated in the anterior mediastinum or in the neck,and sometimes in both regions. This is a report of two cases of congenital thymlc cyst in a 18 year old girl and a 43 tear old man. Those were treated with extirpation of the cystic lesion by thoracotomy successfully and had good postoperative results.

In pulmonary arteriovenous fistula, there are abnormal communications between the pulmonary arteries and the pulmonary veins; the capillary networks that normally separate arteries from veins is absent. The only available treatment of this uncommon variety is an excision. We report a case of pulmonary arteriovenous fistula cured by segmentectomy with a review of literatures.

The Ewing`s sarcoma is the primary malignant bone tumor but the tumor also occurs as a primary soft tissue neoplasm without involvement of bone. Here is presented a case of extraskeletal Ewing`s sarcoma in the posterior and superior mediastinum with review of literature. To our knowledge, this is the first case report of extraskeletal Ewing`s sarcoma in Korea.

Round atelectasis is an uncommon benign pulmonary condition not relevant to neoplastic or inflammatory lung disease, usually presenting as a peripheral parenchymal round mass density on a chest roentgenogram. Recently, authors experienced one patient with this disease entity associated with spontaneous pneumothorax who was treated surgically with a successful outcome. The case is thought to be the first documented report of round atelectasis in Korea.

We experienced a case of esophago-pericardial fistula with cardiac tamponade which was treated successfully by pericardial drainage, closure of the fistula and adequate antibiotic therapy. Esophago-pericardial fistula is rare, often fatal and a demanding surgical emergency. We report a case with review of literatures.

The purpose of the present study was to explore the features of Emotional Intelligence(EI) in psychiatric patients in terms of the ability model. EI scores of patients, measured by performance-based test and self-report inventory, was compared. The scores of performance-based test(Emotional Literacy Test) and self-report inventory(Trait Meta-Mmood Scale) of patients(30 with psychotic symptoms, 32 without psychotic symptoms) who had a appropriate literacy were analyzed by means of independent t-test. There was a no significant difference of IQ between two groups. Our results indicated that psychotic group had significantly lower EI in performance-based test than non-psychotic group. In contrast, non-psychotic group showed lower EI in self-report inventory than psychotic group. This inconsistent results might be attributable to the differences in method of measurement. Thus, these results suggested that it may be important to adopt a convergent using of both performance-based test and self-report inventory while assessing EI of patients with psychopathology.

As construction projects are getting more complex and larger in size, the amount of information is increased exponentially, which requires information management systems to accumulate as-built information throughout the project life-cycle. Particularly, a daily report system is very important, since it helps them keep track of various as-built information at the most detailed level. However, there have been many problems with daily reporting since its process is time-consuming and contains a lot of redundancies and ambiguities. Therefore, the objective of this research is to improve a process of collecting as-built information and managing daily report. To do so, this research developed a to-be process model and a daily report system. The daily report system developed in this research consists of interactive task generator and daily report management modules. The system has been successfully implemented in a real world construction project. The system development processes including process analysis, information models and system features are described along with discussions on the results and improvements.
