This paper examines the relationship between IT investment and the improvement of efficiency from the perspective of organizational contingency by the type of organizations and their maturity in IT use in terms of their history of e-commerce use. Organizations are divided into private and public in nature, and into experienced and inexperienced in e-commerce. An analysis was performed on data from 286 organizations in tourism industry. Comparison among the four groups showed differences in competitive and operational efficiency.

In this paper a local remeshing technique assisted by user-interface capabiities is presented for precise forging simulation. The rigid-plastic finite element formulation is introduced and the basic approach to the new local remeshing technique is presented. A piercing process in cold forging is simulated by the presented technique and the results are compared in detail.

Alveolar bone resorption are unpredictable and always occur after tooth extraction. Such bone resorption causes insufficient alveolar ridge which make implant placement difficult. There are many techniques to increase the alveolar ridge. Representative procedures include ridge split, guided bone regeneration, bone graft using autogenous block bone, and alveolar distraction. In each procedure, there are indications and complications. Depending on the shape and the width of bone defects, we can choose procedures for horizontal bone augmentation and vertical bone augmentation.

This paper presents the mechanics of the link of a double-action link-type hydraulic die set for the enclosed die forging. The force exerted on the link is statically investigated and its structural analysis is carried out.
