한국형 e-Navigation 대용량 데이터 처리 플랫폼의 운용성 증대를 위한 서비스 응답 큐의 우선순위 재구성 기법 (A Method on Reconfiguring job priority in Service Queue for Enhancing Operability of e-Navigation Data Service Platform)

  • 본 기법은 한화시스템에서 2016년부터 착수한 한국형 e-Navigation 사업 중 대용량 데이터 처리 플랫폼(Data Service Platform, 이하 DSP)의 현장 운용성을 증대시키기 위해 DSP의 서비스 큐로 유입되는 다양한 외부 요청을 최적으로 재구성하여 끊김없는(Seamless) 서비스를 제공하는 방법이다. 항해 중인 선박이 DSP에 요청하는 다양한 서비스에 즉시 응답하기 위해서는 DSP가 응답데이터를 구성하는데 소요되는 시간과 선박이 요구하는 서비스를 사전에 예측하는 행위가 필요하다. 따라서 단기간에 DSP로 유입되는 다수의 요청들을 병렬로 예측분석하고 응답 큐를 재구성하여 응답 시간을 단축하는 기법을 구현함으로써 데이터의 크기나 서비스 동시 요청 수에 관계없이 DSP가 끊김 없는 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 하였다.

  • Today, In the Service Industry are more getting a lot of convergence of IT utilization. And global IT companies are strengthening that platform based Services Ecosystems. These business in the field, Ecosystem Competitive strategy is difficult to imitate. And this strategy is generated organic Business Model that a by Competitive-Predominance to brings. In addition, the added value of the Service Industry is taken, a new type of job creation by the ripple-effect is huge. However, existing the Ecosystem Theory of Business is a lack of research on the use. Thus, Ecosystem Construction conditions is very difficult. This study is try to successful Platform Case's Analysis such as Apple, Google, Amazon, eBay's. These Ecosystems is that want to know the Major attributes. At first, would be analyzing to previous research, the Service and Knowledge Services' major attributes and Ecosystem studies' major attributes to grasp. Then, from a Group of Experts is to assess the importance. Finally, according to each Platform, examined the Correlation of Major Attributes.

Implementation of a Gesture Recognition Signage Platform for Factory Work Environments

  • This paper presents an implementation of a gesture recognition platform that can be used in a factory workplaces. The platform consists of signages that display worker's job orders and a control center that is used to manage work orders for factory workers. Each worker does not need to bring work order documents and can browse the assigned work orders on the signage at his/her workplace. The contents of signage can be controlled by worker's hand and arm gestures. Gestures are extracted from body movement tracked by 3D depth camera and converted to the commandsthat control displayed content of the signage. Using the control center, the factory manager can assign tasks to each worker, upload work order documents to the system, and see each worker's progress. The implementation has been applied experimentally to a machining factory workplace. This flatform provides convenience for factory workers when they are working at workplaces, improves security of techincal documents, but can also be used to build smart factories.

로봇을 위한 운영체제 수준의 동적 전력 관리 (Operating System level Dynamic Power Management for Robot)

  • 본 논문에서는 가정용 로봇에 적용 할 수 있는 운영체제 수준의 동적 전력 관리 기법인 EAJS(Energy-Aware Job Scheduler)를 제안한다. EAJS는 workload가 일정하지 않은 IO 장치를 사용하는 job들을 스케줄하여 장치의 idle주기를 가능하면 연속적이게 만든 후, 장치를 shutdown 시켜서 에너지 소모를 줄이는 능동적인 저전력 스케줄러이다. EAJS는 기존의 저전력 스케줄러와 달리, IO 장치를 사용하는 job의 workload, job의 buffering에 사용 가능한 메모리의 크기, buffering으로 인해 발생하는 시간 지연 등을 동시에 고려하여 job을 스케줄 하기 때문에, 에너지를 절약하면서도 시스템의 성능 저하를 최소화 할 수 있다. EAJS의 prototype을 본 연구에서 개발한 가정용 로봇인 AFM(Autonomous Family Machine)에 구현하였으며, H.263 인코더를 수행시키는 실험을 통해 무선랜과 DSP의 에너지 소모가 최대 $44\%$ 가량 줄어듬을 확인 하였다.

청년구직자의 중소기업 고용주 브랜드 인식이 취업의향에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of the Influence of Young Job Seekers' SME Employer Brand Awareness on Their Intention to Work)

  • 본 연구는 정확한 중소기업 일자리 정보를 알지 못하는 상황, 선호 기준에 맞는 일자리 파악이 어려운 현실을 브랜드 범주화 이론을 반영한 '고용주 브랜드(Employer Brand)' 관점에서 개선하고자 하였다 이를 위해 청년구직자 700명을 대상으로 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 5가지 가치 요인(Interest Value, Social Value, Economic Value, Development Value and Application Value) 중심의 취업의향 영향요인을 파악하였다. 분석결과 청년구직자는 인재육성이나 제품, 서비스, 경영진 등 기업 측면의 특성보다 구직자 개인에게 직접적 영향을 미치는 업무문화와 환경, 자신의 전공 활용 등에 보다 관심을 가지고 취업의향에 영향을 받는다는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 중소기업 일자리 정책이 기존 양적 지원 중심에서 플랫폼 중심의 일자리 정보 활용을 강화하는 질적 체질 개선으로 변화될 필요가 있음을 시사하고 있다.

긱 경제 자원 공급자의 경험과 미래 일자리 인식에 대한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on the Experience and Future Job Recognition of Resource Provider in the Gig Economy)

  • 공유경제가 활성화됨에 따라 공유의 대상은 유형자원을 넘어 시간, 경험, 전문지식과 같은 무형자원으로 확대되고 있다. 개인이 자신의 무형자원을 활용하여 일시적으로 플랫폼에 참여하는 현상은 '긱 경제'라 칭해진다. 긱 경제는 향후 새로운 일자리가 될 것이라는 긍정적인 전망이 존재하나, 이는 저임금 기반의 임시직이기에 진정한 일자리가 아니라는 부정적인 인식 또한 존재한다. 한국에서도 긱 경제 기반의 다양한 플랫폼이 등장하며 관련 시장이 급속하게 성장하고 있으나, 이와 관련된 학술적 논의는 매우 미미한 실정으로, 대부분 현상학적 논의에 그쳐있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국의 긱 경제 플랫폼에 참여하고 있는 자원 공급자를 대상으로 그들의 경험을 살펴보고, 이에 근거하여 미래 일자리 변화에 대한 인식과 시장의 바람직한 성장방안을 탐색하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 연구의 대상을 재능공유 플랫폼으로 선정하고, 재능공유 플랫폼에 참여하고 있는 2명의 자원 공급자를 대상으로 예비조사를 실시한 후, 16명의 자원 공급자를 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 수행하였다. 연구결과는 내용분석을 통하여 제시하였으며, 그들의 경험과 인식을 총 6개의 주제로 분류하여 제시하였다. 본 연구는 긱 경제에 대한 관심이 증가하나 해당 시장에 대한 체계적인 이해가 부족한 현 시점에서 자원 공급자들의 총체적인 경험을 심층적으로 탐색하고, 관련 시장 성장을 위한 제언을 수행하였다는 데에 의의가 있다.

What Influences YouTube Viewers' Job Engagement? The Role of Vlog Content Characteristics, Vlogger Characteristics, and Educational Value

  • YouTube has become a popular platform for vlogs. Among various forms of vlogs, office worker vlogs, in which a person engaged in a specific job shows his/her work environment and daily routine, are gaining popularity. Thus, focusing on office worker vlogs, the present research investigates the effects of office worker vlogs' characteristics (i.e., vlog content characteristics, vlogger characteristics) on the YouTube viewers' educational value of the vlog and their job engagement. Specifically, this research examines whether(1) vlog content characteristics (i.e., usefulness, accessibility, and vividness) and (2) vlogger characteristics (i.e., job similarity, credibility, and expertise) influence the YouTube viewers' educational value of the vlog. Moreover, this research examines how the YouTube viewers' educational value of the vlog affects their job engagement. With a sample of YouTube viewers of office worker vlogs (N = 215), structural equation modelling was implemented to investigate the relationships in the proposed model. The results indicate that (1) perceived usefulness of the office worker vlog is positively associated with the educational value of the vlog; (2) perceived accessibility of the office worker vlog is positively associated with the educational value of the vlog, albeit marginally significant; (3) perceived vividness of the office worker vlog is positively associated with the educational value of the vlog; (4) perceived job similarity to the office worker vlogger is positively associated with the educational value of the vlog; (5) perceived credibility of the office worker vlogger is positively associated with the educational value of the vlog; (6) perceived expertise of the office worker vlogger is positively associated with the educational value of the vlog; and (7) the educational value of the office worker vlog is positively associated with the YouTube viewers' job engagement. The findings provide important implications for the production and use of office worker vlog contents.

임베디드 시스템의 가상 ARM 머신의 개발 (Virtual ARM Machine for Embedded System Development)

  • To reduce time-to-market, more and more embedded system developers and system-on-chip designers rely on microprocessor-based design methodology. ARM processor has been a major player in this industry over the last 10 years. However, there are many restrictions on developing embedded software using ARM processor in the early design stage. For those who are not familiar with embedded software development environment or who cannot afford to have an expensive embedded hardware equipment, testing their software on a real ARM hardware platform is a challenging job. To overcome such a problem, we have designed VMA (Virtual ARM Machine), which offers easier testing and debugging environment to ARM based embedded system developers. Major benefits that can be achieved by utilizing a virtual ARM platform are (1) reducing development cost, (2) lowering the entrance barrier for embedded system novices, and (3) making it easier to test and debug embedded software designs. Unlike many other purely software-oriented ARM simulators which are independent of real hardware platforms, VMA is specifically targeted on SYS-Lab 5000 ARM hardware platform, (designed by Libertron, Inc.), which means that VMA imitates behaviors of embedded software as if the software is running on the target embedded hardware as closely as possible. This paper will describe how VMA is designed and how VMA can be used to reduce design time and cost.

R&D Transitions in Response to Digital Transformation in Korea

  • With the rapid development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital transformation, scientific and technological innovation measures are being devised to overcome Korea's low-growth, high-cost structure. Accordingly, by examining the R&D investment evaluation system of R&D PIE (R&D Platform for Investment and Evaluation), which has been promoted by the Korean government in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, from the perspective of R&D transformation, this study aims to explore a new path for a sustainable national science and technology innovation system following digital transformation. In particular, from the perspective of R&D PIE, a MLP (Multi-level Perspective), which had been conducted as an abstract theoretical study, was attempted with specific cases and analysis for each of the three layers: niche, landscape, and regime. In conclusion, R&D PIE was intended to elevate the abstract R&D investment evaluation system to a platform that leads innovation in the digital space of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In addition, it was confirmed that the R&D PIE could be replaced or enhanced as a platform for innovation in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, thereby providing an alternative to job creation and an escape from economic crisis.

An Adaptively Speculative Execution Strategy Based on Real-Time Resource Awareness in a Multi-Job Heterogeneous Environment

  • MapReduce (MRV1), a popular programming model, proposed by Google, has been well used to process large datasets in Hadoop, an open source cloud platform. Its new version MapReduce 2.0 (MRV2) developed along with the emerging of Yarn has achieved obvious improvement over MRV1. However, MRV2 suffers from long finishing time on certain types of jobs. Speculative Execution (SE) has been presented as an approach to the problem above by backing up those delayed jobs from low-performance machines to higher ones. In this paper, an adaptive SE strategy (ASE) is presented in Hadoop-2.6.0. Experiment results have depicted that the ASE duplicates tasks according to real-time resources usage among work nodes in a cloud. In addition, the performance of MRV2 is largely improved using the ASE strategy on job execution time and resource consumption, whether in a multi-job environment.
