The effect of shopping orientation, fashion involvement and demographic characteristics on the purchasing decision-making of outdoor wear - Focusing on the product selection criteria, store selection criteria - (남성의 쇼핑성향, 패션관여 및 인구통계적 특성이 아웃도어 웨어 구매의사결정에 미치는 영향 - 제품 선택기준, 점포 선택기준을 중심으로 -)

  • This study understood what effect was produced on the purchasing decision making of outdoor wear by a shopping orientation, fashion involvement and demographic characteristics offered practical suggestions as to what effect was produced on the store selection criteria, product selection criteria for purchasing decision making in purchasing outdoor wear. This research was conducted through a questionnaire survey, and 397 males in were collected for analysis. The results were as follows. First, shopping orientation group was classified into hedonic shopping orientation group and utilitarian shopping orientation group. And it was classified into high fashion involvement group and low fashion involvement group according to fashion involvement. Product selection criteria were classified into 2 factors such as intrinsic attributes and extrinsic attributes. And store selection criteria were classified into 4 factors such as store atmosphere, store environment, promotion and salesmen. Second, there was partly significant difference in product selection criteria, and store selection criteria between utilitarian shopping group and hedonic shopping group. Third, there was significant difference in product selection criteria and store selection criteria between high fashion involvement group and low fashion involvement group. Finally, there was significant difference in the and according to age, job, and income among demographic characteristics.

A Study on the Occupation Performance of the Leader of Fitness Club by Emotional Labor (피트니스 클럽 지도자의 감정노동에 의한 직업성과에 관한 연구)

  • This purpose of study was to influence of fitness club leader's emotional labor on job involvement and occupation performance. This study aims at providing fundamental data and information on fitness club leader's emotional labor. The survey was done through 250 copies and excluding 23 copies ran an analysis on the remaining 227(90.8%) copies. After question investigating the data which is collected used IBM SPSS statistics 21 and IBM AMOS 21 program, frequency analysis, Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, convergent validity, discriminant validity, Cronbach's α, correlation analysis, path analysis through Structural Equation Model(SEM). The result of this study were as follows. First, fitness club leader's emotional labor showed (-) effects on job involvement. Second, fitness club leader's emotional labor showed (-) effect on occupation performance. Third, job involvement showed (+) effects on occupation performance. Fitness instructors have severe emotional labor. Therefore fitness instructors manage their emotional labor. This can increase job commitment and job performance. For teeth manager need to increase support options from fitness instructors.

The Moderating Effects of Display Rule Fairness Perception and Problem-Focused Stress Coping on Emotional Labor (감정 노동에서 표현 규칙의 공정성에 대한 지각과 문제 중심 스트레스 대처의 조절효과에 관한 연구)

  • The moderators that relieve negative effects of emotional labor have been studied such as job characteristics and situational variables. But as reviewing these studies, they focused on the degree of emotional on certain condition, there's no distinction between that degree and moderating effects. So we should focus on the moderating variables as a organizational involvement. In this study, I hypnotized the mediating effect of job stress between emotional labor and organizational effectiveness. Then I explored moderating role of 'fairness perception of emotional labor' and 'problem-focused stress coping'. This study tested these relationships using data from 166 employees of domestic security service company. From this data, I found that emotional labor increases job stress and job stress fully mediates the relationship between individual attitude(job satisfaction, turnover intention). And one who perceives display rule fairer, feels less job stress than who is not. Lastly, one who copes more problem-focused when he/she experiences job stress, have less negative effect on turnover intention.

  • Integrating corporate culture in a merger enterprise is considered as one of the most important variables to decide M&A success. This study established a conceptional model according to the preceding study on integrating corporate culture and organizational effectiveness, and formulated a hypothesis on the interrelation between a seven factors of corporate culture proposed by Pascale & Athos and Peters & Waterman and organizational effectiveness. The result of applying multi-regression analysis to test the hypothesis is as follows; firstly, all of a merger enterprise's cultural factors have meaningful influence on job involvement among organizational effectiveness; secondly, all of them have sincere influence on job satisfaction among organizational effectiveness except shared value; and thirdly, all of them except skill have significant influence on organizational harmony among organizational effectiveness. This is a significant empirical and exploratory study to ascertain the variables of corporate culture factors, and to verify their effects on organizational effectiveness.

Effect of Job Demands and Resources by Nurses on Health Problem and Turnover Intention: The Mediating Effects of Work Burnout and Engagement (간호사의 직무요구와 직무자원이 건강문제와 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 직무소진과 직무열의의 매개효과)

  • This study used a job demand-resources model as the basis to examine the effects of job demand and job resources on health problems and turnover intention. A total of 320 nurses who were employed at university hospitals in Seoul participated in the study. The results showed that job demand and job resources had a direct effect on the levels of work burnout and work engagement. Work burnout had a direct effect by increasing the levels of health problems and turnover intentions of nurses; conversely, work engagement had no direct impact on either of the two levels. Job demand and job resources had an indirect effect on increased levels of health problems and turnover intention. The results can be used by hospital administrations to confirm the organizational significance of job resources in increasing job performance and work involvement, as well as to understand the consequences of perceived job demand by nurses.

Study of the Social Wellbeing of Working Mothers of Preschool Children (미취학 자녀를 둔 취업모의 사회적 안녕감에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the social wellbeing of working mothers of preschool children with the aim of identifying relationships between social wellbeing and influencing factors, focusing on the individual, relationship, and work environment of the mothers. Data on 390 working mothers were used for this study. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program and descriptive statistics. Pearson's correlation analyses and hierarchical regression analyses were performed. The results show that social wellbeing has significantly positive correlations with education, monthly household income, number of children, age of the first child(8 and over), social capital for childcare, division of childcare, maternal role values, spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement, and family-supportive work environment, as well as significantly negative correlations with weekly working hours, sociological ambivalence, spouse's beliefs about father's breadwinner role and gender-role values, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers. In addition, hierarchical regression revealed that spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement and a family-supportive work environment were significantly positive predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing, whereas working mothers'sociological ambivalence toward their roles, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers were significantly negative predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing. These results point to ways of changing education and policy to improve the social wellbeing of working mothers.

Job Satisfaction and Engagement of School Food Service Dietitians and Nutrition Teachers in Chungbuk (충북지역 학교급식 영양(교)사의 직무만족 및 몰입도)

  • The purpose of this study was to gather basic data and measure job satisfaction and job engagement of dietitians and nutrition teachers in Chungbuk area. This study was conducted on 20 August, 2010. Out of 336 questionnaires, 266 were completed and made available for the purpose of statistical evaluation. As the main results, job satisfaction was classified into eight categories: task, wage, policies related to tasks, professional growth, promotion, relationships with colleagues, working environment, and supervision. In the case of wage, promotion, and policies related to tasks, the average scores of job satisfaction were around 2 points out of 5. Dietitians' job satisfaction levels according to employment type and school type significantly differed. In terms of job involvement and organizational commitment, average scores were 3.53 points and 3.12 points respectively. The survey showed significantly different results for job involvement and organizational commitment, depending on employment type, school type, and status as chef in charge or trainee. Dietitians working in elementary schools, as chef in charge, or with permanent employment showed higher job involvement and organizational commitment. Furthermore, there was a significantly positive correlation between factors such as task, wage, promotion, relationships with colleagues, supervision, work environment, policies related to tasks, professional growth, and job satisfaction.

  • This study investigates whether the efforts of infusing managerial ideologies or organizational visions affect service quality and organizational effectiveness for emotional workers. Data for the empirical analysis were collected from employees (doctors, nurses, and so on) in 14 hospitals on a national scale. The results indicate that ideological infusion efforts have a significant and positive effect on service quality, job involvement, and organizational attachment. Interestingly, the effect of these efforts is greater than the effects of other employment conditions like wage, employment security, and social support.

Effects of Congruence between Orientations and Reward Systems on the Performance of R&D Professiionals (연구원의 경력지향성과 보상의 적합도가 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study proposed the model of research describing the positive impact of fitness between career orientations and reward systems on the performance of R&D professionals. To prove the propositions of the model, a questionnaire survey was conducted 204 professionals in 19 R&D research institutes related with electronics and communication industries provided answers for the questionnaire. The results of the survey were summarized in the following. 1) Career orientations of R&D professionals can be categorized into three dimensions : managerial, technical/professional, and project orientation. 2) The rewards consist of four dimensions : financial, social status, job content, and professional reward. 3) The age and tenure of R&D professionals has the negative impact on the project orientation. 4) The education level of R&D professionals has the positive impact on the professional orientation. 5) The sex was found as insignificant variable career orientation. 6) The person with strong prefers social status rewards to other rewards, the professional orientation is prefer to professional rewards, and the project orientation is prefer to job content rewards. 7) For the professionals with professional and project orientation, the congruence with each reward delivered positive impact on job satisfaction, job involvement, and organizational commitment. However it created negative impact on turnover intention and job stress.

Marital Satisfaction, Job Satisfaction, and Parenting Participation of Fathers : The Role of Paternal Temperament (아버지의 기질에 따른 결혼만족도, 직업만족도, 양육참여 간 관계의 차이)

  • The present study aimed to identify the variables related to paternal participation in child-rearing. For this purpose, 543 fathers of young children living in the seven biggest cities in Korea were invited to participate in the internet survey and completed questionnaires assessing marital and job satisfaction. Their temperament was measured with the EAS Temperament Survey(Buss & Plomin, 1984). The result of this research showed that both the marital and job satisfaction of the fathers affected their parenting participation. And also, marital satisfaction was more strongly associated with the fathers' parenting participation than job satisfaction. All temperament types of the fathers had moderating effects and there were significant differences according to their temperament. This study provides the key factors which have an influence on paternal involvement in parenting and also suggests that the temperament of the father should be considered for participation in parenting.
