  • Value Engineering(VE) Workshop executes many tasks with VE team members from various experts of construction field on the basis of VE Job Plan for a short period of time. However, the VE team members are not useful with using VE information until now because it is not systematic in the accumulation and application of VE information. Especially, these problems constitute the obstacles to communication, reliability and quickness of VE information. It also causes an increase of time and cost at VE Workshop. Therefore, the results of this study suggests the conceptual model of Web-Based Information System for VE(WISE) in order to improve the effectiveness of VE Workshop and solve the problem as is stated above.

Effect of Career Counseling and Career Experience on Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy for High School Students (고등학생의 진로상담 교육과 진로체험 교육이 진로결정 자기효능감에 미친 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the satisfaction of school career education activities (Career counseling, Career and career experience, Career camp, Entrepreneurship and entreperneurship experience, Field trips, University or major experience, and Creative experience activities) in Jeonju high school and Gunsan high school students (568 students), and then to analyze career decision-making self-efficacy of its goal selection, job information, problem solving, and future plan by high (a), middle (b), and low (c) groups according to satisfaction level. Methods: After the career counseling training, questionnaires were surveyed. Results: Career decision - making self - efficacy was significantly higher in the a group than in the b & c groups by order of a>b>c group in the goal selection, job information, problem-solving and future plan by the educational satisfaction on career counseling, career and career experience, college or major experience, creative experiential activity classes (p<.001). The average satisfaction level of career camp, and entrepreneurship and creative experience class was a> c> b group order. There was not a statistically significant difference between the a, b, and c groups. Average satisfaction of field trip class showed a>c>b group order, and a group was significantly higher than b & c group. Conclusion: The higher satisfaction of career education shows higher self-determination efficacy of goal selection, job information, problem solving and future plan.

Effect of Career Management Activity in Hospital Organization on the Job Instability for Hospital Administrative Staff's (병원조직의 경력관리활동이 행정직종사자들의 고용불안 심리에 미치는 영향)

  • This study has performed to propose the plan of effective career management systematically for the enhancement of mutual communication with internal and external customers based on the effect of career management activity in hospital organization on the job instability for administrative staff's. Data was collected from 192 hospital administrative staff's located in Busan area where 7 general hospitals and 7 hospitals were involved, and examined the factor analysis, the reliability, the regression analysis and the correlation analysis using SPSS statistical program. The organizational career management activities were classified into direct and indirect activities through the verification of validity and internal consistency, and the job instability was influenced by the direct career management activities. "Consider of countermeasure of necessary training required for the career of staff's" has the strongest relationship with the job instability among the organizational direct career management activities, and "Provide sufficient information service for new job opportunity" and "Develope career management plan participate with the staff's" were also relatively shown the higher relationship. Thus, it was indicated that the organizational effective career management activities for the enhancement of mutual communication with customers were necessary for the strategy establishment of career management activities.

Influence of Shared Leadership Perceived by Cooks on Self-efficacy, Collective Efficacy, and Job Performance: Focusing on Hotel Culinary Department (공유 리더십에 대한 조리사 인식이 자기효능감, 집단효능감과 직무성과에 미치는 영향 : 호텔조리부서 대상)

  • This study assumed that chef's shared leadership perceived by chefs in hotel culinary department affects self-efficacy, group efficacy, and job performance. Based on this, the causal relationship between each variable was analyzed through leadership sharing. And based on the results, we tried to suggest a manpower management plan suitable for the hotel culinary department and provide basic data. The subjects of this study were chefs working in 8 luxury hotels in Seoul and Busan. A total of 302 questionnaires were analyzed. For analysis, SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical packages were used. As a result of empirical analysis, it was found that it had a positive effect on self-efficacy and job performance improvement of hotel cooks. On the other hand, it was found that the chef's shared leadership did not affect job performance through collective efficacy and collective efficacy. In conclusion, it was suggested that a differentiated and efficient manpower management plan is needed to enhance job performance by enhancing shared leadership and self-efficacy for cooks, where collaboration and division of labor are important, and individual ability is important due to the nature of their work.

Effects of Female Managers' Marriages and Childbirth on Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, Plans to Leave, and Life Satisfaction (여성 관리자의 결혼 및 출산이 직무만족, 조직몰입, 이직계획, 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper used data which consisted of 109 female managers who married and 109 female managers who gave birth over a 2-year period (2008-2010) by 'KWMP: Korean Women Manager Panel' from Korean Women's Development Institute (KWDI). The results of this empirical study exhibit that 1) female managers' marriages and childbirth did not have significant effects on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and plans to leave. 2) Female managers' marriages also did not have significant effects on life satisfaction, however, their childbirth did (t=2.49, df=108, p<.014). We used to believe that female managers' marriages and childbirth could disturb their work. However, this study disproved the previous stereotype that female managers' marriages and childbirth would have negative effects on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and plans to leave. The results of this study will provide useful information to human resource departments or female rights and interests organizations.

A Study on the Development of Criteria and Subjects for The School Safety Manager Qualifications (학교안전관리사 자격의 검정기준 및 검정과목 개발 연구)

  • This study is aimed to design for qualification structure and develop the subjects for examination of the school safety manager qualifications. For the study purpose, job analysis and meetings with experts were performed for extract contents such as task range, criteria of examination, subjects of examination and examination methods, etc. The first step, duties and tasks of the school safety manager were figured out through revised job analysis data of the school safety manager developed before. On the second step, job model was established and developed job specification including importance, difficulty and frequency of each task. On the third step, task specification was developed, and Knowledge-Skill Matrix was the most important thing on examination were completed. The fourth step was the selection of examination subject using task-subject matrix and 6 subjects such as The Principles of Safety, Understanding of the School Safety Manual, Law Related on the School Safety, Introduction to Education, Understanding and Dealing with Type of the School Safety, Establishment of the School Safety Plan were derived from previous procedure. The fifth step was development of guidelines for design examination of each subject. The last step was development for skills education program.

Perceived Relationship among Professional Self-Concept, Head Nurse's Leadership, and Nursing Clinical Competency by Clinical Nurses (간호사가 지각하는 전문직 자아개념, 수간호사의 리더십과 간호사 업무수행 능력간의 관계)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to investigate the perceived relationship among professional self-concept, head nurse's leadership, and nursing clinical competency by clinical nurses. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional survey. Participants were 601 nurses working at the five general hospitals in four provincial cities, Gyeungbuk, Korea. Data were collected from July 14, 2010 to August 31 and analyzed by SPSS/PC ver 18.0 programs. Results: Professional self-concept and head nurse's leadership were slightly above the middle average, but nursing clinical competency was good. According to participants' age, marital status, job satisfaction, and length of service, there were perceptional differences in professional self-concept, head nurse's leadership, and nursing clinical competency. Nursing clinical competency could be explained by head nurse's leadership, professional self-concept, job satisfaction and length of service. Head nurse's leadership was independent variable affecting nursing clinical competency, professional self-concept was partial mediating variable, and job satisfaction and length of service were extraneous variables. Conclusion: It is concluded that head nurse's leadership is more important than professional self-concept to improve nursing clinical competency. Nursing managers should plan various strategies to improve head nurse's leadership and professional self-concept, to increase clinical nurses' job satisfaction and length of service.

Effects of Nursing Work Environment, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment on Retention Intention of Clinical Nurses (임상간호사가 인지하는 간호업무환경, 직무만족도 및 조직몰입이 재직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to verify the relationships among nursing work environment, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and retention intention, as well as to clarify the factors that affect nurses' retention intention. Methods: The study included 163 nurses working in three general hospitals located in B city. Data were collected by a survey using self-administrated questionnaire and analyzed using the SPSS software. Results: The participants expressed a moderate level of retention intention. There were significant differences in retention intention by income (t=-2.13, p=.034) and intention to work (F=9.86, p=.001). The factors influencing retention intention were organizational commitment (${\beta}=.28$, p=.001), job satisfaction (${\beta}=.25$, p=.001), nursing work environment (${\beta}=.23$, p=.004), plan to work period (${\beta}=.13$, p=.027). These factors explained 55.3% of retention intention (F=41.079, p<.001). Conclusions: The findings showed that nursing administrators should develope programs that promote internal satisfaction for new nurses and strive to improve the human and physical aspects of the nursing work environment for career nurses.

  • This study investigated the local humanities ecosystem and the application of local humanities. A plan(measures) was suggested to vitalize the humanities ecosystem for local residents through this stduy. First, We looked at the support measures for local humanities. Second, we tried to find a measure to utilize research manpower for the development of local humanities. Third, We study ways to train researchers for the development of the local humanities ecosystem. Fourth, In this study, we analyzed the contents of the job creation plan for the development of local humanities.This analysis aims to establish a support plan for vitalizing research on the regional humanities ecosystem that reflects the local culture and regional specificity.
