The results of this study indicated that; 1) The perceived job stress was negatively correlated with social support and was positively correlated with TABP. 2) The score of the perceived job stress was higher in TABP nurses than TBBP. The TABP nurses usually perceived more support from peers than from supervisors These results showed that the staff nurses who supported from supervisor felt less stress, and the score of the perceived job stress was higher in TABP nurses than in TBBP. Methods: Data were acquired via self-reporting questionnaires from 148 nurses in EDs at one general hospital, four university hospitals, and six hospitals with >200 beds. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 program through descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: A statistically significant difference in burnout was observed with respect to the age of the nurses. Burnout was positively correlated with job stress and wishful thinking and detachment, among coping behaviors, and was negatively correlated with hardiness. Job stress and wishful thinking, among coping behaviors, were significant predictors of burnout and were observed in 14.9% of the nurses who experienced burnout. Conclusion: According to our results, job stress was identified as the most significant factor which influenced burnout in ED nurse's. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and implement educational programs for reducing job stress and minimizing the use of wishful thinking as a coping behavior in order to alleviate the burnout in ED nurses.

  • This study tries to testify that how much knowledge sharing behavior affects organizational effectiveness and is affected by the supervisory trust empirically. The results show that the higher the supervisory trust was the higher the level of knowledge sharing behavior and ultimately, organizational effectiveness is improved. Specially, the supervisory trust affects job-related knowledge sharing behavior and knowledge sharing system behavior. The knowledge sharing culture, however, is no relation with the supervisory trust. Job-related knowledge sharing behavior influenced both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. But knowledge sharing system influenced only job satisfaction and knowledge sharing culture influenced only organization at commitment. The implication from this paper is that knowledge sharing improves the organizational effectiveness and the supervisory trust is important for knowledge sharing in R&D organization.

  • The purpose of the present study is to investigate the correlations between food intake behavior and job stress level and neuropeptide hormone concentrations. Job strain and food intake behavior were first identified using a self-reported questionnaire, concentrations of neuropeptide hormones (adiponectin, brain derived neurotrophic factor [BDNF], leptin, and ghrelin) were determined, and the correlations were analyzed. In the results, job strain showed significant correlations with adiponectin (odds ratio [OR], 1.220; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.001~1.498; p < 0.05) and BDNF (OR, 0.793; 95% CI, 0.646~0.974; p < 0.05), and ghrelin exhibited a significant correlation with food intake score (OR, 0.911; 95% CI, 0.842~0.985, p < 0.05). These results suggest that job stress affects food intake regulation by altering the physiological concentrations of neuropeptide hormones as well as emotional status.
