This study was conducted to empirically verify the factors that affect work-life balance according to the age of social workers. The subjects of the study were social workers working at social welfare centers, welfare centers for the disabled, and welfare centers for the elderly located in Jeollabuk-do, and 313 copies of 42 facilities that participated in the survey were used for the final analysis. The research method used a multi-level model that calculated individual factors (Level 1) and institutional factors (Level 2). The main research results are as follows. First, 20.2% of the total variance in the work-life balance of social workers was found to be different for each local welfare center. Second, as a result of examining the factors affecting work-life balance of social workers by age, it was found that job demands had a negative effect on work-life balance in all age groups. In particular, in their 30s, family demands and women's work-life balance were more negative than men's, and economic status was found to be an important influencing factor on work-life balance. Based on these results, we discussed ways to improve work-life balance for social workers.

The purpose of this study to examine the status of Korean language education, and to examine the future direction between with korean and China. The Korean language course organized by the European Union Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which selects and conducts consignment companies through annual competition every year since 2002, In order to these goals and needs, it is imperative to develop a curriculum that enhances job skills. As Korean language education, a point that is necessary to clarify terms more clearly, which 'vocational education purpose' is widely used in the term of 'business education'. With all languages education, Korean language education is not meant to teach Korean to foreigners, but it is a process by which learners can apply Korean language learned in classroom to various situations, while outside the classroom through teaching and learning. Otherwise, the curriculum in the four-year college Korean language department in China, which is lacking in acquiring the ability to achieve the Korean language education goals and social needs. Korean language education in China is one of foreign language education and it is different from foreign language education such as English education as Minor Languages education.

In this study aviation authority officials were classified into four cultural groups according to culture theory, and then questioned to determine the effects of cultural bias on their social acceptance of a new air traffic flow management system. Based on previous studies, cultural biases were categorized as egalitarianistic, individualistic, fatalistic, and hierarchical, and social acceptances were considered to be influenced by four variables, that is, perceptions of usefulness, work attitude, intention to use, and behavior (job absorption). Empirical analysis showed that hierarchy had a significant positive effect on social acceptance, and egalitarianism was found to have a significant positive effect on social acceptance with 95% credibility. We propose the organizational culture of Korean government be changed to accept the diverse opinions of government officials during the implementation phase of the new system recommended by ICAO.

Purpose: This study is an overview of the experiences of nurses who have participated in a communication education program which was designed to develop proper change-of-shift dialogues. The goal of this program was to improve the communication competencies of outgoing and incoming nurses during handover and takeover of their shifts. Methods: The materials used in this study to analyze the experiences qualitatively were transcripts from narrative interviews with seven nurse participants. The education program consisted of two rounds of change-of-shift simulations by pairs of nurses, planning of a forthcoming change-of-shift, three lectures on ideal dialogue patterns, and time for video feedback. Afterwards the participants' experiences of the program were evaluated generally, highlighting the positive and the negative aspects, and how this educational experiences might affect their future change-of-shift activities. Results: High practicability, originality, professionalism, and effectiveness were some of the positive assessments made by the nurse participants. In addition, they pointed out that the sample video in which two professors performed an ideal handover and takeover and the paper kardex were both quite unrealistic. The location of the change-of-shift simulation was also unfamiliar so it needed to be supplemented. However, most of the nurses took for granted that such a communication education program is necessary and that it will provide a substantial help in their future job performance. In this regard they recommended the program to all related hospitals and nursing schools. Conclusion: The results of this study could be applied to other forms of communication education programs regardless of the specific area where communication takes place.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine psychosocial factors related to burnout of social welfare officers working in Jeonnam Province. Methods : A total of 395 social welfare officers (male 99, female 296) working in 22 areas of Jeollanam-do province, were subjects of this study. We examined socio-demographic factors, using a self-reporting questionnaire. Subjects were asked to complete the Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS), Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CES-D), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), and the Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (GSS), to assess psychosocial factors affecting to burnout of social welfare officers. Results : Among 395 subjects, 221 (55.9%) reported recent experiences of burnout. There was no significant difference in age between two groups, divided by burnout. Sex (p<0.001), rank (p=0.003), working period (p=0.034), depression (p<0.001) revealed differences between the burnout group and control group. Scores of PSS (p<0.001) were higher, while the scores of GSS (p<0.001) were lower in the burnout group, than control group. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that female (OR 2.840, 95%CI 1.466-5.504, p=0.002), depressive high-risk group (OR 6.824, 95%CI 2.893-16.096, p<0.001) PSS (OR 1.247, 95%CI 1.153-1.349, p<0.001) and GSS (OR 0.950, 95%CI 0.930-0.971, p<0.001), were significantly associated with burnout. Conclusion : We found that some factors, were associated with experienced burnout in social welfare officers. Depressive symptoms were the strongest associative factor, for burnout in public servants in charge of social welfare. Sex, stress and self-efficacy also correlated with burnout, and especially self-efficacy was a protecting factor.
This study was aimed to investigate the influencing level of nursing staff's recognition for the health care accreditation on patient safety managing activities by identifying the relationship between them and other factors affecting on patient safety managing activities. Subjects of this study were 182 nursing staffs working in six geriatric hospitals accredited for health care in Seoul metropolitan area. Data was collected during April, 2016 by structured questionnaires. And SPSS/WIN 15.0 program with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis were employed for analyzing them. 96.2% of the subjects have recognized the accreditation and 31.8% of them have acknowledge it in detail. The average level of recognition for the health care accreditation and patient safety managing activity were 3.60 and 4.39 point (max.5.0) respectively. Correlation between them was positive(r=.339, p<.001). Significant factors influencing patient safety managing activity were internal service quality promotion (t=5.292, p<.001) and academic background (t=2.836, p=.005). Education program or information on health care accreditation system, and action plans for promoting internal service quality for the nursing staffs including job standardization of the jobs are recommended for the better patient safety managing activities.
This study examines based on Cultural-Historical Activity Theory, graduate school student-workers' learning and developmental transfer in school and work. For this purpose, a question is raised. how do components of activities in school and workplace impact on learning and developmental transfer? For this study, based on the results of In-depth interview, questionnaire was designed and quantitative research has been conducted. This study analyzed 288 graduate school student-workers. As a results, First, the components which have an effect on learning were analyzed and the results show that among the components of the school activity system, the competitiveness reinforcement from object, the role of academic major from division of labor, and the interaction with professors from community are significant variables. Second, in case of developmental transfer, the activeness of class participation from tool, the role of academic major from division of labor, and the interaction with professors from community are significant variables of the school activity system and the self realization from object, the role in the workplace from division of labor, the interaction with supervisors from community, and the systemization of work from rule are significant variables of workplace activity system. On the basis of the findings, implications of the study and suggestions for further research are discussed.
The purpose of this study was to identify the meditating effect of self leadership on the relationship between protean career attitude and subjective career success of lifelong learning educators. Based upon the results, several theoretical and practical suggestions were made to enhance self leadership, protean career attitude and subjective career success of lifelong learning educators. A survey questionnaire for this study was composed of four parts, such as the measurement tool of Protean Career Attitude(Briscoe, Hall & Demuth, 2006), Self Leadership Scale(Houghton & Neck, 2002), Subjective Career Success(Career satisfaction Scale: Greenhaus, Parasuraman & Wormley, 1990; Job Satisfaction Scale: Mobley, Jarret, Marsh & Lim, 1994; Employability Inventory: Johnson, 2001) and demographics. The subjects in this study were lifelong learning educators in Incheon. The survey questionnaires from 450 respondents were gathered, and the data from 426 respondents were used for analysis. The results of this study were as follows: First, protean career attitude of the lifelong learning educators had direct effect on subjective career success positively. Second, protean career attitude of the lifelong learning educators had indirect effect on the subjective career success with the partial mediating effect of self-leadership. Finally, based upon the above results, some implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
This study aimed to empirically analyze the factors that influence newlyweds' housing tenure. For this, a questionnaire survey was conducted among newlyweds living nationwide who had been married for 5 years or less and were under the age of 40. The results of the survey were empirically analyzed by applying various variables. With regard to parental financial support among the factors influencing newlyweds' housing tenure, the analysis results showed that the probability of owner occupancy was high among the households with parental financial support than among those with none, and the larger the size of the parental financial support was, the higher the probability that the newlyweds owned the house they were occupying. As for the housing loan variable, it was found that the probability of owner occupancy was high among the newlyweds with a housing loan than among those with none, and the larger the amount of the newlyweds' housing loan was, the higher the probability that they owned the house they were occupying. As opposed to what is generally recognized, however, the survey showed that the higher the ratio of dual earners is, the lower the owner occupancy probability due to the probability of job transition, etc. In addition, it was found that the probability of owner occupancy for the newlyweds living in Seoul was lower than that for the newlyweds living in other regions in South Korea. Accordingly, this study showed that appropriate levels of parental economic indicators should also be reflected in the stable housing support and loan policies for newlyweds in the context that the succession to their parents' fortunes is generalized.
This paper explores the characteristics of innovation activities in high growth firms that contribute to national and regional economic growth and job creation. The analysis is based on the 2016 KIS data to analyze the difference in innovation activities between high growth firms and general firms. The main results are as follows: First, high growth firms have a higher proportion of R&D personnel than general firms. Second, high growth firms are actively introducing product innovation, process innovation, and organizational innovation as compared to general firms. In the innovation activities related to product innovation and process innovation, there is no statistically significant difference between high growth companies and general companies except for external R&D. Third, High growth firms are more likely to cooperate with other technology partners than general firms. But, there is no statistically significant difference between high growth firms and general firms in the external knowledge search and the diversity of cooperating partners. Fourth, in terms of protecting innovation, high growth firms are more likely to use all kinds of innovation protection method, such as 'utilizing intellectual property rights', 'maintaining confidentiality', 'adopting complex design methods', 'market preemption ahead of competitors', and the most important means is the intellectual property rights. Fifth, government innovation policies that high growth firms chose as important are 'innovation subsidies and loans', 'acquirement, utilization and protection of intellectual property rights' and 'human resource support'.
