In Korea, fluoride was first introduced into the drinking water of residents of Jinhae, KyungNam in 1981 for the prevention of dental caries. Ever since, growing numbers of communities favor fluoridation. The mechanism of F prevention of tooth decay is well known: fluoride ions substitute for hydroxyl ions in hydroxyapatite of hard tissues, which result in crystal perfection, with consequent reduction in dental caries. Soluble fluorides such as sodium fluoride are almost completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. However, the presence of divalent or trivalent cations such as aluminum, magnesium, and calcium that can complex with F can reduce the degree of absorption. In U.S.A., over 7000 communities are now adding F to their drinking water. However, some portion of population oppose fluoridation, voicing both concern about the safety of fluoridation as well as for personal choice. Thus, This paper reviews the interaction of fluoride and cations as well as fluoride and suggests possible problems associated with fluoridation, a controversial issue.

With the development of IT (Information Technology) technology, embedded system and network technology are combined and used in various environments such as military environment as well as everyday life. In this paper, we propose a new airdropped distributed mobility model (ADMM) modeling the dispersion falling of the direct shot of a cluster bomb, and we compare and analyze some representative MANET routing protocols in ADMM in ns-3 simulator. As a result of the analysis, we show OLSR routing protocol is promising in ADMM environment in the view points of packet delivery ratio (PDR), end to end delay, and jitter. In addition, we propose a new adaptation scheme for OLSR, AND-OLSR (Average Node Distance based adaptive-OLSR) to improve the original OLSR in ADMM environment. The new protocol calculates the average node distance, adapts the period of the control message based on the average node distance increasing rate. Through the simulation study, we show that the proposed AND-OLSR outperforms the original OLSR in PDR and control message overhead.

The military remains have a social and historic value in holding up a true mirror to modern history of war and suffering, and will be used for historic place in Korea. This study is to research these modern military remains as cultural properties in Korea. They are classified with three types, namely military sites, installations of civil structures and buildings. The military remains have the historic sites of the righteous army and Korean war, and most of them are battle fields located in a mountainous area rather than urban area. There are fortresses, bridges and tunnels, and watchtowers of civil structures. The fortresses were constructed with Japanese military installations in the end of the Pacific War, and are most located in Sangmo-ri, Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, Korea. The bridges were to be destroyed and constructed during the war, and the watchtowers as military defence were to be constructed in inland area. There are arsenals, barracks, and headquarters of buildings. The weapon factory of Gigiguk (arsenal bureau) constructed in the late 19th century are present, and also the army training center, barracks, and church, etc are in Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, Korea. There are old headquarters constructed in 1910s at Jinhae Gyeongnam, and buildings to testify about the horrors of the Korean war around Cheorwon, Gangwon.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of interaction based mother-child art therapy on the change of child and mother's interactions in a child who was in trouble due to attachment problems. The subject in this study was a six-year-old child who faced difficulties in peer relationship building and who were maladjusted to kindergarten because of unstable attachment and negative feedback from his parents. Also, he showed serious problem behaviors at home. The ABA design was adopted among single-subject research designs, and the Target child was observed in the sessions in terms of the subfactors of Marschak's Behavioral Rating Scale to gather data related to the changes of child and mother's interactions. As a result of analyzing the collected data, there were positive changes in all the subfactors that were the child's verbal/nonverbal interactions, the mother's verbal/nonverbal interactions and mother-child interactions. Therefore the interaction based mother-child art therapy that was designed to boost child and mother's interactions was effective at furthering the mother-child interactions of the child with attachment problems.

With the globalization of economy, there is keen competition among countries to be a logistics hub and companies are striving to be first in establishing logistics system centering on advantageous sites, especially airport and seaports, to perform supply, production and distribution. Korea competing with Northeast Asia countries is also working out strategies in order to make Korea penninsula a logistics center of Northeast Asia taking advantage of its geographical strength. Gwangyang port has designated as Free Economic Zone together with Pusan and Jinhae, Incheon from October 24th, 2003. However, the introduction of Free Economic Zone in Korea lagged behind other major countries and it has a lot of operational problems. Approximately 600 areas worldwide are designated and operated as a Free Economic Zone and Gwangyang port and its surrounding area has several points to be settled as one of FEZ. First one is its limited functions and related laws on Gwangyang Bay. Next is imperfection on development, investment and management system of the FEZ. Lack of promotion activities could be one of the problems. If we want to activate the FEZ, we must induce investment at Gwangyang Bay. This paper analyzes the above problems and presents various measures to activate Gwangyang Free Economic Zone by inducing investment for innovation cluster as follows Benchmarking to promote Gwangyang Free Economic Zone as follows Benchmarking other countries' system, governmental support, introduction & logistics functions, early development of the hinterland, supply ofeffective one-stop service, investment attraction into the area and diversified promotion & marketing activities.

A 13-year-old girl, who had undergone the total correction of partial atrioventricular septal defect at the age of 4 years, was admitted with severe tricuspid regurgitation in echocardiography. She had received one-and-a-half ventricle repair during follow-up. Her right ventricle showed global akinesia, and the ejection fraction of the left ventricle was 25% with paradoxical interventricular septal motion. We performed right ventricular exclusion adjunct to the Fontan procedure. She is doing well two years after the operation without complications.

하계 한국남해안에서 보름달물해파리(Scyphozoa: Ulmariidae: Aurelia aurita)의 월별 출현 및 크기와 중량간의 상관성을 연구하였다. 또한 Rotifer와 Artemia sp.를 먹이생물로 하여 먹이섭취 습성을 분석하였다. 보름달물해파리는 크기와 중량간에 상관성이 매우 높았으며 (r=0.930, P<0.001), 6월에는 크기가 6∼9 cm, 7월에는 7∼16 cm, 8월에는 16 cm인 개체가 우점하였다. 먹이섭취율은 크기와 먹이농도에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다(ANOVA test: P<0.001).

2009년 10월 15일 경남 진해시 소재 용원 컨트리클럽의 한국잔디에서 외래해충인 잔디왕바구미의 발생 피해가 최초로 확인되었다. 성충은 체장이 6~11 mm로서 검은색 내지 흑갈색이며, 형태적으로는 앞가슴 등판에 점각무늬가 있으며, 중앙에 Y자 모양의 융기선과 그 양측에 괄호 모양의 융기선이 특징이다. 잔디왕바구미는 한국잔디류를 비롯한 난지형잔디에 피해를 준다. 잔디왕바구미는 검역관리 대상해충이므로 국립식물검역원에서 인근 골프장 및 잔디재배지 등을 위주로 추가 발생 및 피해 여부를 조사하였으나 아직 다른 곳에서의 발생은 확인되지 않았다.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to confirm that the cross-country ski sprint course in PyeongChang, where the 2018 Winter Olympics course was to utilize wearable devices equipped with inertial measurement unit (IMU), global positioning system (GPS) and heart rates sensor. Method: For the data collection, two national level cross-country (XC) skiers performed classic technique on the entire sprint course. We analyzed cycle characteristics, range of motion on double poling (DP) technique, average velocity, and displacement of 3 points according to the terrain. Results: The absolute cycle time gradually decreased during starting, middle and finish sections. While the length of the DP increased and the heart rates tended to increase for men skier. In addition, the results indicated that range of motion of knee joint during starting and finish section decreased more than middle section. The errors of latitude and longitude data collected through GPS were within 3 m from 3 points. Conclusion: Through the first case study in Korea, which analyzed the location and condition of XC skiers in the entire sprint course in real time, confirmed that feedback was available in the field using various wearable sensors.

Seongbuk Village and Ungcheon Village are Town Wall Villages that reflect social and historical backgrounds. villagers have formed villages based on community life. The streets and places of the villages are accumulated as images in the memory of the inhabitants. Based on their imagination-concept, 30 sketch maps, reflecting residents' cognitive perception were collected. Analysis of 30 sketch maps shows that other forming of Collective maps. In the past, Villages historical facilities had changed roles, but the relationship between the place and the place has been continuous, and according to the development process of the villages, the relationship between streets and places has been formed. Following this, the analysis methodology of social spaces and sketch will be examined in depth.
