Objective : This study was performed to evaluate the treatment of Acupuncture therapy including Herbal Acupuncture theraphy and Korean Bee Venom Theraphy in Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber Syndrome. Methods : We treated 1 case of Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber Syndrome patient with mainly Korean Bee Venom Theraphy, and herbal Acupuncture, acupuncture theraphy from 27th August, 2001 to February, 2003. Results : After 3 weeks of Korean Bee Venom Theraphy, and herbal Acupuncture, acupuncture theraphy, a remarkable improvement was made for Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber Syndrome. Conclusions : Korean Bee Venom Theraphy and other acupuncture therapies were effective in reducing the symptoms. We think that it need the further study and clinical trial for Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber Syndrome.

The ultrasonographic examination with vaginal probe(5MHz) was undertaken in 101 patients at infertility clinic of Eul-Ji General Hospital. This study was performed to evaluate the number of mature follicles per menstrual cycle, the relationship of both ovaries for consecutive ovulatory cycle and the responsiveness of follicular growth followed by administration of ovulation inductant. The results were as follows; 1. The ovulation induction group with clomiphene citrate showed more follicles than natural menstrual cycle group. 2. Each means of numbers of follicles between ovaries showed no difference between natural and ovulatory induction groups. 3. The rate of follicular growth per one menstrual cycle showed higher in the clomiphene citrate induced cycle group. 4. Clomiphene citrate induced group tends to be easier for multiple follicular growth but had no significant difference in statistics. 5. The ipsilateral Vs. contralateral follicular growth rate for consecutive menstrual cycles in both ovaries showed no significant difference between two groups.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to find out differences of the points locations of Dongshi-Acupuncture described in some related books. Methods : This study was carried out by means of comparing the different locational descriptions on the same acupoint in those books : Dong Shi Ji Xue Zhen Jiu Xue(董氏奇穴鍼灸學), Shi Yong Dong Shi Zhen Jiu Ji Xue Quan Ji(實用董氏鍼灸奇穴全集), Dong Shi Zhen Jiu Ji Xue Jing Yan Lu(董氏鍼灸奇穴經驗錄), Dong Shi Leng Zhen Cheng Xue Xue(동씨능침징혈학), Dong Shi Ji Xue Tu Pu Zhi Liao Xue(董氏奇穴圖譜治療學), Tai Wan Dong Shi Zhen Jiu Jing Xue Xue (台灣董氏鍼灸經穴學). Results : There are disagreement on the number, locations, cuns of acupuncture points among the books: the numbers of 11 kinds of points, locations of 2 points and cun of 15 points. Conclusions : The authors can be grouped by the opinions on the acupuncture points. One group consists of Yang Wei Jie(楊維傑), Lai Jin Xiong(賴金雄) and Hu Bing Quin(胡丙權) and Hu Wen Zhi(胡文智), Liu Jian Zhong(陸建中) and Li Guo Zheng(李國政) form the other.

This study was performed to report the effect of coffee enema among detoxification Therapy on atherosclerosis. Russian patient was treated by coffee enema, acupuncture, herbal medicines, exercise, cupping, korean physical therapy, chuna manipulation treatment and moxibustion. The state of patient was measured by Infrared Thermography, Blood Vessel Stasis Test and Minnesota Nicotine Withdrawal Scale. After treatments, both feet temperature were increased. And index of indicating the occlusion of the lower body was improved. Also, Minnesota Nicotine Withdrawal Scale scores were improved. It means the patient was successful at non-smoking during hospitalization. These results suggests that atherosclerosis was improved. According to above results, coffee enema was effective to improve the atherosclerosis. More studies should be followed.

We have known that $\ll$Zhen Jiu Da Cheng, 鍼灸大成$\gg$ had been written by Yang Ji Zhou(楊繼洲) in Ming(明) dynasty. And it had been the only textbook of acupuncture & moxibustion for over 300years. This book is composed of 10 chapters dealing almost all the medical theories of that times. This book is so enormous that it is hard to understand essential ideas of the author. But, Yang Ji Zhou revealed his ideas and medical theories in some parts of this book. This part is named that composed of 4 small subjects. These are , , and In this study, I analyze the relation of $\ll$Zhen Jiu Da Cheng, 鍼灸大成$\gg$ and $\ll$Wei Sheng Zhen Jiu Xuan Ji Bi Yao, 衛生鍼灸玄機秘要$\gg$ and then I study further by comparing with other parts of $\ll$Zhen Jiu Da Cheng, 鍼灸大成$\gg$ and other important oriental medical textbooks.

Ji Cheng's great work on garden design, the 'Yuanye'(Craft of garden), written in 1631 and originally published in 1634 is the first surviving manual on landscape gardening in the Chinese tradition. This study aims at investigating not only Ji Cheng's life, achievements companionship and design activities, but also the xylographic copies, literary style, and framework of Yuanye in their historical context in order to provide the bases for further study, Ji Cheng was exellent in poetry and painting. And he constructed Dongdiyuan in Changzhou around 1623, Wuyuan in Yiaheng in 1631, and Yingyuan in Yangzhou around 1634 But no poems, paintings, and gardens designed by hi shill exist Therefore his design phi philosophy is able to be interpreted only by his work, Yuanye. After publishing, Yuanye fell into obscurity for several centuries in Chlna. It was redescovered and reprinted for the first time in 1931. Yuanye is composed of prefaces and main text The main text is divided into 'the Theory of Construction' and 'on Gardens', and the latter also into 10 sections. In this text Ji Cheng explains the aesthetic principles underlying garden design and the appropriate emotional response to various efftcts Especially, he emphasizes the importance of basin the garden design on the taxi ting nature and features of landscape and making use of natural scenery. The literary style of the book is highly mannered, and there are so many poetic descriptions and Ji Cheng's native Jiangsu dialects. So the translation of the original text is very difficult After this, the major design concepts of Ji Cheng's landscape gardening theory and whole network of these concepts have to be studied.

Objective: : This clinical study reports on the effect of Sunghyangjungki-san-gami and Banhabaeckchulchunma-tang-gami on hemiplegia, dizziness, and hiccupping caused by pontine infarction.Methods: This study was performed on one patient with hemiplegia, dizziness, and hiccupping caused by pontine infarction. The patient was treated by Sunghyangjungki-san-gami and Banhabaeckchulchunma-tang-gami from 6 January to 2 March 2015. The National Institutes of Health stroke scale (NIHSS), motor grade, and numerical rating scale (NRS) were used to assess the effectiveness of this treatment.Results: After treatment, the patient’s discomfort decreased significantly, and NIHSS, motor grade, and NRS scores were all improved.Conclusion: This clinical study suggests that traditional Korean medicine may be effective in treating hemiplegia, dizziness, and hiccupping caused by pontine infarction.

Objectives : This paper studies the Tangaek-Unhoei(湯液韻彙) index of herbal medicine in the Inje-Ji(仁濟志) of the Imwon-Gyeongje-Ji(林園經濟志), which contains about 4,800 formulas. Created by 19th-century Joseon scholar Seo, Yugu, it not only lists the formulas according to their names, but also provides index by topic, which enabled the collection and effective application of massive medical information. Methods : We quantitatively examined the nearly 4,800 herbal medicines in the Tangaek-Unhoei and their categorization. Any uncommon or particular categorization was examined further by analyzing the original text. Results & Conclusions : The prescriptions contained in the Inje-Ji are categorized under 26 headings. They are listed according to the 106 units of the Chinese character dictionary and organized by double headings. This unique index makes it easy to browse the contents of such a vast book containing massive medicinal knowledge. In addition, the fifty or so remedies called 'Fang(方)' exemplify the author's attitude toward medicinal knowledge, which is both rational and inclusive. This is an attitude that should be recognized beyond tradition.
