The Effects of Cultural Marketing on Customer Satisfaction of Coffee Shops: Focused on Jeju Island Cafe (커피전문점의 문화 마케팅이 고객만족에 미치는 영향 : 제주도 카페를 중심으로)

  • Purpose - Since the number of cafés operated by using cultural marketing in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province is increasing, this study emphasizes the necessity of cultural marketing, which is a different strategy of specialty coffee shops, focusing on Jeju Island. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of positive effects of service quality and brand image on customer satisfaction through cultural marketing. Research design, data, and methodology - It emphasizes the necessity of cultural marketing of specialty coffee shops, and how the positive effects of service quality and brand image brought through cultural promotion, culture support, cultural support, cultural enterprise influence customer satisfaction. The results of this study are as follows. In order to verify the research hypothesis of this study, Jeju residents who have experience using cultural marketing conducted in coffee shops in Jeju Island are targeted. The cafe in Jeju area, which runs from April 4 to April 14, 2018. A total of 110 copies of the questionnaire were distributed, and the final 100 copies were used as final empirical analysis data. Result - The results of the study are as follows. First, promotion and culture business activities have positive influence on brand image. Second, production and cultural business activities had positive effects. Third, brand image has a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Fourth, service quality has a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Conclusions - The implications of this study are following as: First, if you want to grow into a cultural enterprise in the province by enhancing your brand image, you need to prioritize cultural direction and business direction for cultural companies among sub-factors of cultural marketing. Second, it is necessary to improve the customer satisfaction through the improvement of the brand image considering the composition of the stores in the city, the facilities and the atmosphere, and the consumer tendency such as product and customer age.

  • This study verified the effectiveness of machine learning education programs focused on data labeling as an educational method for improving computational thinking of elementary school students. The education program was designed and developed based on the results of a preliminary demand analysis conducted on 100 elementary school teachers. In order to verify the effectiveness of the developed education program, 17 sixth-grade students attending K Elementary School were given 2 classes per day for a total of 6 weeks. In order to measure the effect of the training on improving computational thinking, the educational effects were analyzed by conducting pre-post-inspection using the "Beaver Challenge". According to the analysis, machine learning education focused on data labeling contributed to improving computational thinking of elementary school students.

  • Despite the increasing rate of use of data science in various fields of society, research on data science education programs is relatively inadequate. In this study, a data science education program for elementary school students was developed and its effectiveness was verified. We created a program that collects data using microbit, one of the physical computing tools, and developed an education program that performs the data science stage of analyzing the collected data to derive results. A study was conducted on 10 students enrolled in the Information Gifted Program at 00 University, and pre- and post-tests of computing thinking skills were conducted to verify the effectiveness. As a result, it was found that the data science education program developed through this study has a significant effect on improving the computational thinking of elementary school students.

  • This study developed and applied an artificial intelligence education program as an educational method for increasing computational thinking of elementary school students and verified its effectiveness. The educational program was designed based on the results of a demand analysis conducted using Google survey of 100 elementary school teachers in advance according to the ADDIE(Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation) model. Among Machine Learning for Kids, we use scratch for block-based programming and develop and apply textbooks to improve computational thinking in the programming process of learning the principles of artificial intelligence and solving problems directly by utilizing numerical data. The degree of change in computational thinking was analyzed through pre- and post-test results using beaver challenge, and the analysis showed that this study had a positive impact on improving computational thinking of elementary school students.

  • Last year, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games have finished successfully. Over the last century the Olympic Games have received much attention from the world widely in the various point of views. In opposition to the Olympic Games, Delphic Games have attracted little attention. Moreover, There are no comprehensive monograph and research about Delphic Games in ancient and modern era. On that account, this paper will focused on the historical context of Delphic Games, review contents of it, and discuss visions to introducing and announcing the Delphic Games to the academic world.

  • The spread of COVID-19 has been changed the tourism industry. Travelers changed their traveling style and started to consider congestion of the spot for their health and safety. In Jeju, a famous tourist destination in South Korea, managing the congestion of tourists has become an important issue. This example introduces the Jeju Tourism Organization's development of a system as a smart tourism information service that manages congestion in real-time big data. Combining with congestion theory and behavior immune system, we would like to assure the necessity of the system. Also, by analyzing the system, we understand how deducing congestion information from big data and the new paradigm of the tourism industry combined with congestion theory. Data was collected by Korea's telecommunication company SKT to develop the system. The paper explains the reason for choosing the company and the pros of data quality. We expect this system to be a solution for any other city in the world under a similar situation. Finally, several suggestions for the system are included to promote and better future usage.

  • This paper presents a new one-time password approach generated based on $4{\times}4$ pattern schedule. It demonstrates generation of passkey from initial seed of random codes and mapping out in table pattern schedule which will produce a new form of OTP scheme in protecting information or data. The OTP-2FA has been recognized by many organizations as a landmark to authentication techniques. OTP is the solution to the shortcomings of the traditional user name/password authentication. With the application of OTP, some have benefited already while others have had second thoughts because of some considerations like cryptographic issue. This paper presents a new method of algorithmic approach based on table schedule (grid authentication). The generation of OTP will be based on the random parameters that will be mapped out in rows and columns allowing the user to form the XY values to get the appropriate values. The algorithm will capture the values and extract the predefined characters that produce the OTP codes. This scheme can work in any information verification system to enhance the security, trust and confidence of the user.

A study on Kudoa septempunctata infection from sashimi and sushi of olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus in Busan, South Korea

  • Kudoa septempunctata has been reported as a new parasite in aquacultured olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus, and also as a causative agent of food poisoning in humans. This paper investigated the infection of K. septempunctata in 216 sashimi and 20 sushi made of olive flounders in Busan, Korea. Among 236 samples, K. septempunctata was detected in eleven sashimi with 6-7 polar capsules by the microscopy. Among eleven sashimi, five sashimi were positive in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) assay with the targets of 18S rDNA and 28S rDNA. The genotype of all the five PCR results is identified as the genotype ST3 which is common in Korea. K. septempunctata was found in olive flounders sashimi from Samcheonpo and Wando outside of Jeju Island. These findings would contribute to establish the standard of K. septempunctata for preventing food-borne outbreaks in advance and providing further preventive management for the seafood safety.

Microbiological Pollution Investigation of Lowland Spring Water at the Jeju City Waterfront, Jeju Island (제주도 내 제주시 해안가 저지대용천수의 미생물학적 오염도 조사)

  • Bacteriological examination of spring water in Jeju City was conducted. A total of 21 spring water samples were collected from January to April, 2010. During the study period, the range of temperature was 0.6 to $15.4^{\circ}C$, and the results of the analyses showed that hydrogen ion concentrations (pH) for spring water were 0.43 to 7.9. Salinity levels for the samples averaged from 3.0 to 1.64%, and levels of water-dissolved oxygen were 1.85 to 6.06 mg/l. The range of total coliforms in spring water samples at 21 stations located in the designated spring water were <1.8->1,600 MPN/100 ml. Furthermore, the range of geometric means of total coliforms was 9.9-151.6 MPN/100 ml, while the range of fecal coliforms in spring water samples at 21 stations located in the designated spring water area was <1.8->1,600 MPN/100 ml. Finally, the range of geometric mean of fecal coliforms was 3.1-151.6 MPN/100 ml. The level of microbial contamination was examined in 21 samples for indications of bacterial contamination such as heterotrophic bacteria, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella spp., Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Staphylococcus aureus, and Shigella spp. were frequently detected in the spring water. Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Vibrio parahaemolyticus, and S. aureus were detected in the range of $0-0.5{\times}10^1$, $0-0.1{\times}10^1$, $0-0.1{\times}10^1$, and $0-0.3{\times}10^1$ CFU/ml, respectively, while E. coli O157:H7 was not detected in the examined spring water samples.
