  • Due to the wide spread of the perception of cloud computing, the usage of cloud computing is increasing globally. Cloud computing is able to converge the various industrial domains based on ICT and it is more and more popular because it has a lot of benefits such as cost savings etc. in global economic recession. However, if cloud computing service is to achieve its potential, it is necessary to clearly understand the critical issues such as service security, performance and availability and so on from the perspectives of the providers and the consumers of the cloud service. In addition, customers focus on how to get and use the safe and reliable cloud service. In order to meet these problems, Korea cloud service certification system and Japanese ASP-SaaS-Cloud certification system were performed in each country. This paper aims at comparing and analyzing between them and describing the difference. Eventually, we propose the improvement strategy of Korea cloud service certification system based on the comparison results between them.

  • This study provides basic research for developing dress forms of women's wear making. This study compared the average body size of Korean women by investigating the shape, composition and size of 417 dress forms for pattern making, sold at Korean and international online malls. The results showed that Korean brands produced torso-type and torso-crotch-type (94.13%), torso-type was the most dominant type made by Japanese Ki and French St (${\geq}80%$), and all US Al products were whole-body-type. The most common used internal filler of the dress forms was urethane for South Korean companies and paper for Japanese Ki and French St. In most cases, cotton was used for outer materials. Alternatively, linen and rayon were used as outer materials. Al did not indicate the materials used for filler and outer layers. Additionally, the sizing system of dress forms was commonly presented as a Numeric type. In addition to Numeric type, Ki presented body type + usage and Al used character type. When the dress form size for the average bust size of each age group was evaluated, waist measurements were smaller than the corresponding bust measurements. Dress form was presented in the KS interval and was compared with the $mean{\pm}1{\sigma}$ interval of each age group. The majority of the dress forms produced in South Korea were for body shapes in their 20s.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to compare the food involvement scale (FIS) of American and Japanese consumers. In addition, the effects of familiarity, likability, and expectations on willingness to use intentions for block type sauce by nationality were evaluated. Methods: A total of 149 and 112 American and Japanese consumers, respectively, completed the survey. Consumers were asked about familiarity, likability, expectation, willing to use intention, and usage frequency of block type sauce, food involvement scale (FIS), and demographic information. Results: There were differences in the using frequency of block type sauce according to nationality, with consumers in Japan showing significantly higher frequency of using block type sauce than those in the United States (US) (p < 0.001). According to the FIS, US consumers were more focused on how to provide food than food, such as cooking process, table setting, and food shopping, compared to Japanese consumers. In addition, 'expectation' and 'likability' among US consumers and 'expectation' and 'familiarity' among Japanese consumers were positive attributes for willing to use intention (p < 0.01). Conclusion: In the case of the US consumers, 'familiarity' was not significant because the using frequency of the block type sauce was lower than that of Japanese consumers. In the case of the Japanese consumers, 'likability' was not significant because they enjoy cooking itself according to the FIS. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize positive attributes as a key factor for block type sauce, as well as to search for ways to apply marketing strategies based on attributes by nationality.

  • The use of standardized stitches in globalized apparel markets is becoming increasingly important. However, many apparel vendors still use disunified stitches, such as Japanese and English. This study analyzes the usage of clothing stitches of cut and sewn knit garment fabrication of small companies. The results of the analysis of 464 worksheets of cut and sewn knit garments are as follows. First, of the 464 worksheets, only 4.31% are labeled as ISO 4915 No. Among the 1,399 stitches, only 3.15% were marked with the ISO 4915 No. Second, among 1,399 stitches, ISO 4915 No. 406 followed by 401 was the most frequently used. Third, in the case of the top, ISO 4915 No. 406 was used the most; in addition, ISO 4915 No. 401, 301 and 304 were also frequently used. Fourth, in the case of the bottoms, the stitch with the highest frequency was ISO 4915 No. 406 followed by ISO 4915 No. 103 and 401, respectively. Fifth, in the case of the top, ISO 4915 No. 406 was most commonly used in hemlines and sleeve edges; in addition, in the case of the bottoms, ISO 4915 No. 406 and 103 were most commonly used as hemlines. In conclusion, it is important to use international standard stitches, especially for the most frequently used stitches. By using the standard stitches, the communication errors between production departments can be reduced and information can be accurately delivered.

  • Fishery sea anchor is widely used for many fishing vessels. However, standardization of the dimension and terminology of the fishery sea anchor has not been achieved, reducing the reliability of the performance and safety of the fishery sea anchor. Therefore, this study researches the reality of usage of fishery sea anchor and then attempts to suggest the development direction of the standard draft as basic data. As a result of the survey on the reality of usage show that various terms were used for each part of the fishery sea anchor (including the incorrect form of non-standard words derived from Japanese) and that the production of this product in the fishery sea anchor market was concentrated on one specific manufacturer. In addition, the main specifications of the fishery sea anchor are set and manufactured based on conventional experience without standards. In the field, there was no standardized drawing for fishery sea anchor and users had low awareness of the main specifications of fishery sea anchor. Therefore, this study suggested the following regarding the fishery sea anchor: standard terms for each part including Korean and English names and standard drawing of sea anchor. It is hoped that this study will contribute to research for the standardization of fishery sea anchor, which will increase in reliability and lead to increased interest in standardization in the fishery field.

  • Illustrations in advertisement uses various social and cultural codes to stimulate the desire to buy in consumers in the first place, since this is an economic phenomenon orchestrated to sell a product. Hence, factors outside the product per se, such as tradition, social issues and class consciousness are introduced. Especially, in modern advertisement a strategy is adopted to differentiate standard products produced by mass production. In order to do so, such factors as mentioned above become as important as physical characteristics of the product per se and its usage value. As a result, phrases or images used for advertisement can have independent influences on the society irrespective of the sales effects on the product. In this respect, it is fair to state that advertisement reflects the phases and consciousness of a given period as a cultural phenomenon. Therefore, based on the premise of characteristics and roles attributed to the advertisement, this thesis proposes to make a comparative study on the images of women in commercial advertisement in Korea during Japanese Imperialism and China during Cultural Colonial period dating from 1900 to 1945. The starting point of this research will cover the period of foreign trade and Japanese Imperialism in Korea and interference of Western Power in China. It will also investigate on the birth of Korean advertisement by Japanese Imperialists and Chinese modern advertisement along with the modernization of Shanghai. Then, I propose to present the illustrations of women in advertisements based on comparative study of their characteristics and expressions as observed in several case studies both in Korea and China. Connotative meanings in such advertisement will be investigated in the context of political, economic and cultural dominance.

  • The present study was performed to investigate the psychological effects of spring flowers blossoms, which is one of the elements influencing to human psychology, in order to provide scientific evidence on the psychological benefits of green plants. A self-reporting survey was conducted by using self reporting questionnaires on the impression (semantic differential method: SD method) and mood states (profile of mood states: POMS) of eighty university students in their twenties. Korean forsythia, Korean rosebay, Japanese apricot, Cherry blossom, and Magnolia were chosen as spring flowers. The results of impression evaluation and mood states changes showed that spring flower blossom had beautiful, soft, warm, moist, familiar and full impressions, and changed our mood positively by reducing depression and anger, or by increasing vigor. In addition, different psychological effects can be differently observed depending on the species; for example, Cherry blossom had a greater effect in changing the impression and feeling than others. The findings would provide support toward the active usage in green space as well as its design maximizing the psychological effects of nature.

  • This study started from my concern over maintenance and renewal of existing buildings and other seriously damaged Modern Architecture under the urban development. Above all, we must face up to reality of an increasing need of renovation of old buildings that are in its physical, social, and economical decrepitude. Currently, 25% of total buildings come under renovation period within 20 years, which means that we do not have enough time to decide the destiny of old buildings. In the city, there has been endless controversy over conversation and development. Recently the Cultural property Registration System made it possible a positive usage of non-designated cultural property with historical value. This very useful system renewed our perception on Modern Architecture as cultural property and also triggered peoples' interest in recreating new value beyond economical one. So we really need a balanced view that can bring into both growth of contemporary city and renewal use of Modern Architecture. Here, in this study I tried to solve that problem with Conversion Design and define what a realistic design way for them is. To get more reasonable result, I chose a factor analysis for 20 conversion projects in Japanese Modern Architecture. Conversion Design is a proper way to restore the identity of old buildings and the most effective way to sustainable use of Modern Architecture.
