Electrical Characteristics of CdS/CdTe Heterojunction Solar Cells (CdS/CdTe 이종접합 태양전지의 전기적특성)

  • In this paper, electrical properties CdS/CdTe heterojunction solar cell prepared by electron beam evaporation method were investigated. Crystal structure of CdS films deposited at substrate temperature of $50{\sim}250^{\circ}C$ was hexagonal type with preferential orientation of the (002)plane parallel to the substrate. Optical transmittance of the CdS film is increasing and resistivity is decreasing with increasing subsrate temperature. CdS/CdTe Solar cell characteristics were improved by increasing of substrate and annealing temperature. However, low efficiency due to small Jsc, Voc below 0.3 $mA/cm^2$ and 430 mV are observed. Low efficiency is contributed to be high resistance of CdTe films and contact.

  • Development of low cost hybrid functional nano-structured materials has great interest to enhance sensitivity of dye-sensitized solar cells and reduction of the production cost. In this talk we will discuss about using different processes to modify functional characteristics of photoelectrode and investigate effects of chemical modification without significant structural variation on to enhance performance of DSSCs. Efficient electron transportation between dye molecules and photoelectrode has been obtained by appropriate chemical modification and efficiency of DSSC has been significantly improved. A comparative analysis on effects of surface functional and electron states of photoelectrode on VOC and JSC has been also carried out to discuss effects of composite materials on physical structure and electronic properties to correlate enhanced performance of these devices.

  • 이종접합태양전지는 단결정 실리콘 기판 표면에 고품질 비정질 실리콘층을 적층함으로써 전기의 근원인 전하의 재결합 손실을 줄여 높은 개방전압을 얻을 수 있다는 특징이 있다. 초박형 태양전지는 기존 태양전지보다 뛰어난 광전변환 특성(Photovoltaic characteristic)을 가지고 두께가 얇아 제품 형상 시 자유도가 높아진다. 본 논문에서는 n-type Bare wafer($160{\sim}180{\mu}m$)를 이용하여 $50{\mu}m$의 웨이퍼를 제작하였다. a-Si:H(p)_a-Si:H(i)_c-Si(n)의 광흡수층 구조를 성막하여 cell을 제작하였다. 그 결과 Voc(Open Circuit Voltage)가 0.666, Jsc(Short-Circuit Current)가 34.77, FF(Fill Factor) 69.413, Efficency 16.07%를 달성했다.

  • The parameters and operating characteristics of the switched reluctance motor (SRM) for the electric drive of the overland belt conveyor CLM-4500 have been presented. The motor power capacity has been equal to 1250 kW, the motor speed - 1000 min-1. SRM power supply has been provided by a three-phase voltage inverter and a 12-pulse rectifier circuit. The group electric drive has been installed on sections number 2 and 3, 3770 m and 3375 m length, respectively, on the areas of "Berezovsky Strip" JSC, a member of the Siberian Coal Energy Company.

  • 박막형 태양전지의 효율 향상을 위하여 광확산 패턴이 형성된 기판을 제작하고 이를 이용하여 비정질 실리콘 박막 태양전지를 제작하였다. 나노 임프린트 방법을 사용하여 제작된 광확산 패턴은 불규칙한 마이크로-나노 크기의 미세구조를 가지고 있어 빛의 확산투과 비율을 향상시켜주는 역할을 하였다. 제작된 광확산 기판위에 TCO물질을 증착하고, PECVD법을 사용하여 비정질 실리콘 p-i-n 접합 구조를 형성하였다. 제작된 태양전지 소자를 1.5 AM의 조건에서 I-V 특성을 분석하였으며, 비교군으로 사용된 일본 Asahi 사의 U-type glass에 비해 높은 Jsc 값을 나타내었다. 또한 외부양자효율을 측정함으로써 광확산 패턴에 의한 양자효율 변화를 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • With the growing need of more effective energy harvesting, solar energy has been sought as one of the prominent candidates among the eco-friendly methods. Although many types of solar cells have been developed, the electronic conversion efficiency is limited by the material's physical properties: solar cells can only harvest solar energy from limited range in solar energy spectrum. To overcome this physical limit, we approached by using the down conversion effect, transforming the high energy photons to low energy photons, to the range the designated solar cell can convert to electronic energy. In our study, we have fabricated GaAs single junction solar cells and applied CdSe quantum dots for down-conversion. We examine the effects of such application on the solar cell efficiancy, fill-factor, JSC, VOC, etc.

  • 염료감응 태양전지를 구성하는 중요한 요소 중 하나인 나노입자 산화물 $TiO_2$는 태양전지 내부의 전자이동과 밀접한 관련이 있어 Cell의 개방전압(Voc) 및 단락전류밀도(Jsc) 특성을 결정짓는 주요 요소이다. 때문에 염료감응 태양전지의 문제점인 효율 증대를 위해서는 $TiO_2$의 각종 특성을 연구할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 $TiO_2$의 두께 및 소성온도를 변화시킴에 따라 제반 되는 각종 전기적 특성들을 조사해 보았고 그 원인들을 고찰해 보았다.

  • The cell parameters of the sintered CdS/CdTe solar cells in which te CuCl$_2$was added in the carbon paste after the sintering of the CdS/CdTe composites an were annealed at 35$0^{\circ}C$ for 10 min in nitrogen are investigated. Voc and FF do not change significantly as the CuCl$_2$increasing up to 500 ppm, Jsc increases with futher increase in copper. The hole concentration, determined by C-V measurement, increases to $1.5\times$10$^{16}$ ㎤ as the copper increased to 25 ppm and then stays at about the same value with further increase in copper.

  • Simulation Program (AFORS-HET 2.4.1) was used, include the basic structure of crystalline silicon thin film as above, under the intrinsic a-Si:H films bonded symmetrical structure (Symmetrical structure) were used. The structure of ITO, a-Si p-type, intrinsic a-Si, c-Si, intrinsic a-Si, a-Si n-type, metal (Al) layer has one of the seven. When thickness for each layer was given the change, the changes of a-Si p-type layer and the intrinsic a-Si layer on top had an impact on efficiency. Efficiency ratio of p-type a-Si:H layer thickness was sensitive to, especially a-Si: H layer thickness is increased in a rapid decrease in Jsc and FF, and efficiency was also decreased.

  • Most publications confirm that an ecological interface is a very efficient tool to supporting operators in recognition of complex and unusual situations and in decision-making. The present article describes the experience of implementation of an ecological interface concept for visualization of material balance in a drum separator of RBMK-type NPPs. Functional analysis of the domain area was carried out and revealed main factors and contributors to the balance. The proposed ecological display was designed to facilitate execution of the most complicated cognitive operations, such as comparison, summarizing, prediction, etc. The experimental series carried out at NPPs demonstrated considerable reduction of operators' mental load, time of reaction, and error rate.
