The development of distributed databases using a distributed object technology is more popular than ever before because the current computer system environment is adaptable for a use as well as the cost of the integration of legacy systems is cheaper than making a new application. In schools, development of an integrated system consisted of many stand-alone databases give a teacher and an administrator the convenience of managing the database in a school and the ease integration of data in it. Therefore, this research is to design and implement the 3-tier distributed database using CORBA, Java and JDBC.

최근 전산 환경은 통합되는 개방형 시스템으로 변모하고 있다. 서로 다른 platform을 기반으로 한 client들과의 연동을 위해서, 각 platform에 따른 application이 개발되어야 했다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 이 기종간의 시스템을 통합할 수 있는 통합 Middlware의 선정이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 객체지향 소프트웨어 공학 프로세스에 의해 생성되는 산출물을 객체 형태로 통합 관리하고 객체들을 효율적으로 관리해 주는 통합 객체 관리 모델을 제안한다. 이 모델로 기존의 시스템을 재사용하고 급변하는 소프트웨어 산업에 능동적으로 대체와 소프트웨어 개발에 시간을 함으로써 현존하는 다양 DB군들을 최소한의 코드 수정을 통하여 구동할 수 있게 함으로써 경제성을 높이는 것이 본 논문의 목적이다. 따라서 이 모델을 중심으로 자동차 관리 서비스 도구(AutoMobile Customer Service Shop: AMOSS)를 구현한다.

It is difficult to develop Electronic Commerce System due to expansion, maintenance and repair of the system. In this paper, the author proposes 3-Tier structure Stock Market Management System using JAVA and CORBA. The event service of CORBA supports the interactive environment. For improvement of expansion, performance, security, maintenance, repair. and efficiency, the 3-Tier structure Stock Market Management System is implemented using CORBA and JDBC middle ware in this environment.

위성영상의 종류가 많아지고 다양한 종류의 수치지도가 생성되고 관리되기 위해서는 지도도서관이 필요할 것이며, 이는 클리어링하우스와는 달리 전통적인 종이지도까지 포함이 되어야한다. 상품화된 GIS 툴에서 제공하는 공간검색의 기능을 개발하여 지도도서관에 활용을 한다면, 지명검색보다 다양한 형태의 자료를 검색하여 비교할 수 있으므로, 데이터베이스에 각 자료의 좌상단, 우하단 좌표가 입력 관리되고, 서버에 모든 자료가 존재한다는 가정하에 사각검색과 원 검색의 원리를 경우에 따라 분류하고 SQL문으로 만드는 원리를 정리하였다. 공간검색을 통한 GIS자료의 다운로드와 생성된 자료의 업로드 기능을 클라이언트/서버환경에서 JDBC를 활용하여 구현하였다. 국가기관이나 학교에서 지도전문 도서관이 전무한 실정이지만, 앞으로의 가능성을 전제로 하여 고지도로부터 관광지도, 수치지도, 위성영상을 활용한 주제도에 대한 관리방법으로 제안한다.

감성정보관리시스템은 주거ㆍ사무환경에 속한 6개 분야의 연구과제에서 생성된 피험자의 생리신호와 주관적 감성평가 데이터를 통합 관리하는 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 여러 형태의 감성평가 실험데이터를 데이터베이스에 저장ㆍ처리하기 위해 감성정보 데이터베이스에 대한 접근을 하나의 컴포넌트에 집중시킨 데이터베이스 레퍼(wrapper)를 설계하였다. 이 접근방법은 감성정보 데이터베이스에 대한 단순화된 응용 프로그래밍 인터페이스(API: application programming interface)를 제공함으로써 접근코드를 단순화하여 코딩의 생산성을 높이고, 데이터베이스 접근을 일관성 있게 유지함으로써 프로그램의 오류발생 가능성을 감소 시켰다. 또한 데이터베이스 접근을 캡슐화함으로써 내부 논리의 변경이나 소프트웨어 버전 향상으로 JDBC API가 변경되더라도 영향을 최소화할 수 있을 것이다.

The his paper describes Management System of Environment GIS Data using JVM, JDBC, Oracle DB. Environment GIS data using the system are satellite Image, Thematic Map, GIS Data. The data have spatial information and attribute information. The search supplies spatial search using viewing-map on Web browser, nonspatial search using the attributes of data. The registration of data use the registration system of data on Web browser.

WEB기반의 환경GIS 자료관리를 위해 JVM(Java Virtual Machine), JDBC, Oracle을 이용한다 환경GIS자료에는 위성영상, 주제도, 일반 GIS자료 등이 있으며, 이 자료는 공간정보와, 속성정보를 가지고 Server의 DB에 존재한다. 자료의 검색과 등록은 WEB Browser에서 조회용 지도를 이용하여 지도상 공간속성정보와 비공간속성정보에 의한 검색기능을 제공한다.

지난 호에서는 DB에서의 자바 접근 지원 방안에 대해서 살펴보았다. 이번 호에서는 실제 프로그래밍 사례로서 오라클8i 상에서의 자바 기반 DB 프로그래밍 방안에 대해 살펴 보기로 한다. JDBC에 기반한 프로그래밍 방안은 이미 많이 알려져 있으므로 이번 호에서는 Java 저장 프로시저의 작성 방법 및 SQLJ에 기반한 프로그래밍 방안에 대해 기술하기로 한다. CORBA 및 EJB에 기반한 프로그래밍 방법은 다음호에서 다루기로 한다.

In this paper, Java Method approach for the integration of Web and Object-Relational DBMS is proposed. For the purpose, we extend to use Java language in programming user-defined function which is one of important characteristic of Object-Relational DBMS with object concept. Therefore we can retrieve not only database objects but also their associated Java methods to run in clients. Finally, to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed Java Method technique, we designed and implemented this Java method system based on three-tier client/server architecture using JDBC(Java Database Connectivity) and Java RMI(Remote Method Invocation).
