  • KJCCS(Korean Joint Command & Control System) is a system that integrate each military tactics C4ISR into JCS(Joint Chiefs of Staff) level. It is established in major CP(Commanding Post) and provides all battlefield situation in real time by sharing that between connection troops. The objective of this study is to suggest a way for the measurement of force improvement effectiveness of KJCCS. C2 model is applied to measure force improvement effectiveness of KJCCS. This study will be also present a requirement logic for C4ISR system acquisition later.

합동성 강화를 위한 각 군의 노력과 합동작전의 효율적 수행방안 (ROK Military Efforts for Jointness Improvement and Some Views for the Development of Its Joint Operational Capability)

  • Jointness is a core concept of ROK military reform plan. ROK military has pursued to transform its military organization and capability for enhancing jointness and joint operation after the 1990s. It has strengthened the organization of JCS(Joint Chief of Staffs), introduced joint education, and acquired modernized weapons and equipment proper for joint operation. The 1986 Glodwater-Nichols Act of the U.S. military and lessons of the recent war provided a good direction how ROK military should take measures to enhance jointenss. In fact, defense reform efforts for jointness has produced invaluable fruits for transforming industrial age military forces into information age one which possesses more strong combat capabilities and develops joint business for efficient defense management. Nevertheless, there are many issues ROK military should address for stepping up the jointness. This paper well analyzes practical problems and issues ROK military faces to develop jointenss and draws policy recommendations for the policy makers.

A Note on the Minimization of the Expected Makespan and the Expected Flow Time in M Machine Flow Shops with Blocking

  • Consider an m machine flow shop with blocking. The processing time of job j,j=1,..., n on each one of the m machines is equal to the same random variable $X_j$ and is distributed according to $F_i$. We assume that the processing times are stochastically ordered, i.e., $F_{1_{-st}}{<}F_{2_{st}}{<}cdots_{-st}{<}F_n$. We show that the sequence 1,3,5,...,n-1,n,n-2,...,6,4,2 when n is even and sequence 1,3,5,...,n-2,n,n-1 ... 6,4,2 when n is odd minimizes the expected makespan and that the sequence 1,...,n minimizes the expected flow time.

  • JCS(Joint Control System)는 대규모 조력발전소에서의 조력발전소에 설치된 10대(25.4MWx10기)이상의 발전기에 대한 전자동 운전, 운영의 최적화, 운전 모드, 발전소 특성변수, 각종 운전상의 또는 법적 규제치 등을 고려하여 전력생산량을 극대화한다. 또한 발전소 운영의 단순화(종합설정: Global Setting, 부하특성곡선 등) 안전한 운전을 위한 발전소의 각종 변수 및 제한값을 감시하며 발전소의 발전기를 한 대의 발전기처럼 제어할 수 있도록 한다.

  • The real-time dynamic rating system(DRS) can provide the maximum ampacity within required periods, so it can help the transmission-line operation more safely and efficiently. Because the conductor temperature is the main limit of increasing rating current, conductor temperature monitoring(CTM) technology is the basic to DRS. In this paper, real-time CTM was developed for 345kV XLPE cable in tunnel and we have also compared the CTM result of this study with the result according to IEC 287 and JCS 168 thermal parameters.

The Impact of Total Radiation Flux on Organic Materials under LED Lighting

  • In this study, an accelerated aging experiment for fabric and paper was conducted using two light emitting diode(LED) sources with different wavelength characteristics, and the discoloration under each lighting type was examined. Hanji(Korean traditional paper) and related textiles showed more discoloration under blue LEDs, while the blue wool standard showed more discoloration under white LEDs. This, indicated that the deterioration varied depending on the sample color. The the effect of the light source on artifact deterioration was primarily related to the total radiation flux(expressed in mill watts), rather than the total luminous flux(expressed in lumens). In addition, the discoloration of the investigated artifacts was dependent on the color rendering of the lighting.

Understanding Ancient Human Subsistence through the Application of Organic Residue Analysis on Prehistoric Pottery Vessels from the Korean Peninsula

  • This study investigates prehistoric human subsistence and pottery use on the Korean peninsula through the organic residue analysis of archaeological potsherds. Ancient human subsistence is one of the core topics in Korean archaeology. However, due to the high acidity of sediments, which prevents the long-term preservation of organic remains, archaeologists have been short of critical information on how these early prehistoric dwellers lived. Ceramic vessels can contain well-preserved lipids originating from past culinary practices. For a better understanding of human subsistence on the prehistoric Korean peninsula, food-processing behaviors were reconstructed by analyzing ancient lipids extracted from a pottery matrix. The potsherd samples used in the analysis in this paper were collected from major prehistoric habitation sites. The results show that subsistence strategies differed according to both location and time period and reveal how organic residue analysis can contribute to a better understanding of prehistoric human subsistence strategies.

국내에 분포하는 주요 암석의 절리면 전단강도에 대한 공학적 성질 (The Engineering Properties of Shear Strength of Rock Joints in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 5년간 국내 각 지역에서 채취한 802개의 절리면 시료에 대하여 전단시험을 실시하여 얻은 결과를 이용하여, 절리면의 여러 공학적 성질들을 조사, 연구하였다. 절리면 전단시험에서 얻어진 최대마찰각 및 잔류마찰각을 지체구조별, 암종별로 분류하고 통계적으로 구하였으며, Barton의 전단강도식의 입력변수인 JRC, JCS를 측정하고 Barton식의 적용성에 대해서도 검토하였다. 그 결과 설계의 기초자료로 활용할 수 있는 지역별, 주요 암종별 최대마찰각, 잔류마찰각을 제시하였다. 또한, JRC, JCS, 수직응력에 따른 마찰각과 전단강성 및 팽창각의 변화를 분석하였다. 마지막으로, Barton의 식에서 구한 이론적 전단강도와 이 실험에서 얻어진 전단강도를 비교한 결과, Barton의 경험식은 높은 상관도로 암석 절리면 전단강도를 예측할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • In case of multi-cable for one ph current in the same phase cable may be unba according to cable arrangement in underg system. In this paper, we described the way to ba current in each cable of same phase. This solut to make the impedence of each cable equal caculated the impedence of each cable for all ki cable arrangement in accordance with JCS168D finally found the cable arrangement of impedence.
